실시간 객체 모델 dRTO (Real-Time Object Model dRTO)

  • 내장 실시간 시스템은 그 응용 분야가 매우 다양하며 그에 따라 실시간 처리와 신뢰도 보장에 대한 요구 또한 다양하다. 이러한 내장 실시간 시스템의 효율적인 개발과 실시간성 및 신뢰도 보장을 위해서는 적절한 실시간 모델이 필요하다. 최근 들어 객체지향 모델과 실시간 시스템을 접목시키는 실시간 객체 모델에 대한 연구가 활발하다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 dRTO (dependable Real-Time Object) 모델은 내장 실시간 시스템의 다양한 요구사항을 지원할 수 있도록 객체지향 개념, 실시간 개념, 신뢰성 개념 등을 단일 모델에 수용한다. 그리고 이 3 가지 기본 개념을 지원하기 위해서 5 가지 원시 클래스를 제공한다. dRTO 모델의 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 객체의 시간 제약사항은 물론 객체 간의 상호작용과 관련된 시간 제약을 효율적으로 모델링하고 구현할 수 있도록 해준다. 둘째, 내장 시스템을 구성하는 하드웨어, 응용 소프트웨어, 커널 등을 하나의 틀 안에서 모델링할 수 있다. 셋째, 결함 감지 및 처리에 관해 명시적으로 표현할 수 있다.

멀티미디어 트래픽에 대한 무선 환경에서의 순방향 패킷 스케줄링 알고리즘 (A Wireless Downlink Packet Scheduling Algorithm for Multimedia Traffic)

  • 본 논문에서의 패킷 스케줄러는 무선 채널 환경에서 실시간 비디오 트래픽과 비실시간 인터넷 트래픽을 동시에 서비스한다. 그리고 실시간 트래픽에 대한 지연을 감소 시기키 위하여 누적카운터와 SIR값을 동시에 고려하는 새로운 패킷 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 알고리즘에서는 실시간 트래픽을 비실시간 트래픽에 비하여 우선적으로 처리한다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 고찰할 때, 실시간 비디오 트래픽과 같이 지연성능에 민감한 서비스의 경우에는 AC(Accumulation Counter) 방식이 기존의 M-LWDF방식보다 더 적합한 알고리즘으로 관찰되었다. 본 논문에서는 HSDPA 시스템과 유사한 구조를 채택하여 시간 축으로는 프레임 주기를 가지며 동시에 코드 축으로는 OVSF 코드를 사용할 수 있는 구조를 채택하여 모의 실험을 수행하였다.

  • This paper describes a real time digital simulation method for the application of HTS tape to power devices. At present, in order to extend the power capacity of some area which has a serious problem of power quality, especially metropolitan complex city. there are so many problems such as ROW for cable line routes, space for downtown substations, and the environmental protection, etc. HTS technology is one of the best solutions. Simulation is required for safety before install of HTS power cable, a fabrication model used at the power system simulation. Here, in this paper, authors developed an algorithm connected with HTS by using Real-Time Digital Simulator(RTDS).

A Real-time Remote Logging Model for Development of Location-Based Mobile Applications

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time remote logging model for development of android applications using LBS(Location based Service). The model has two major parts: Mobile Log Management Service and Remote Log Server. Mobile Log Management Service consists of the log collector and the remote log manager. The log collector is an aspect of AOP which can collect logs from the target application without modifications of source codes. The remote log manager has a background service component so that it can receive logs whenever the log collector captures logs from the target application. Remote Log Server communicates with Mobile Log Management Service by socket interface. Therefore, Remote Log Server can show logs in real-time. To validate the efficiency of the proposed model, we show a case study, and compare the model with other models.

  • UDP has likely been used for real-time applications, such as video and audio. UDP supplies minimized transmission delay by omitting the connection setup process, flow control, and retransmission In general, more than 80 percent of the WAN resources are occupied by Transmission Control Protocol(TCP) traffic as opposed to UDP's simplicity, TCP adopts a unique flow control in this paper, I report new methods to minimize a udp packet loss considering TCP flow control on the real-time application the better performance of real time application can be obtained when they reduce a packet size and FIFO buffer scheduling method competing with TCP bandwidth for the bandwidth and buffering.

  • Recently, research of visual control is getting more essential in robotic application, and acquiring 3D informations from the 2D images is becoming more important with development of vision system. For this application, we propose the effective way of controlling stereo vision tracking system for target tracking and calculating distance between target and camera. In this paper we address improved controller using dual-loop visual servo which is more effective compared with using single-loop visual servo for stereo vision tracking system.   • This study describes a real-time location monitoring system developed for efficient operation of workplace in plant equipment maker. This monitoring system can be applied for indoor and outdoor working environment respectively. By using the real-time tracking system based on RTLS, it is possible to track worker's movement and location of working object under indoor working environment. For outdoor working environment, the real-time monitoring system based on IDGPS is applied for work safety and balanced workload. A case study is provided to evaluate the performance of the real-time monitoring system.

  • In the Internet, multimedia data transfer is hard to guarantee the characteristics of the Real-Time because of the Best-Effort of the nature of IP, then additional mechanism is applied to multimedia application for real-time data. In this paper, we introduce the nature of multimedia and the necessary facility for real-time protocol. We propose protocol layer, which has necessary function above mentioned and offer the end-to-end transfer far real-time data. Also, the proposed protocol perform a next low operation: 1) a required information for QoS control by using Feedback mechanism is obtained from sender, 2) divided a transferred packet by delay and loss priority. 3) recognized the low service models, and 4) decided a bandwidth and QoS according to a network state

  • This paper describes a new 14-CPU real-time distributed automatic gauge control (AGC) system for POSCO's No. 2 Hot Strip Mill at Pohang Works. The new AGC system has adopted gaugemeter AGC, Monitor AGC, and roll gap disturbance compensators. The computer system for the new AGC system has been developed based on VMEbus computer systems and a commercial real-time operating system. A VMEbus computer system is also used for the position servo control of hydraulic cylinders. All the application programs and input/output signals have been reasonably distributed over the control computer systems for the maximum reliability and effectiveness of the system. The new AGC system has been successfully used for the No. 2 Hot Strip Mill.
