혹한기 광산배수 처리 공정 내 황산염 환원 박테리아의 활성 증진을 위한 발광다이오드의 이용 제안 (Use of Light Emitting Diode for Enhanced Activity of Sulfate Reducing Bacteria in Mine Drainage Treatment Process Under Extreme Cold)

  • 본 연구는 폐광산에서 배출되는 산성광산배수가 하천수 및 지하수에 유출되면서 발생되는 환경 오염들을 막기 위해 생물학적 자연정화 처리 방법인 연속적 알칼리도 생성 시스템의 효율을 증대 시키는 방안에 관한 연구이다. 연속적 알칼리도 생성 시스템를 이용한 산성광산배수의 처리는 대부분 황산염 환원 박테리아를 이용한 생물학적 처리 기술이며, 실제 현장 적용실험에서 그 효과가 증명되었고, 광산배수 정화 사업에 적용하도록 개발된 사례가 많다. 그러나 계절적인 온도 저하로 기온이 매우 낮은 겨울이나 초봄 동안에는 황산염 환원 박테리아가 생존은 가능하더라도 황산염을 환원시키는 활동이 거의 멈추게 되어 지속적인 산성광산배수 처리 효율에 문제점을 야기한다. 본 연구에서는 연속적 알칼리도 생성 시스템에 발광 다이오드를 접목하여 유기물 층의 황산염 환원 박테리아 활성을 증진시키고, 온도가 낮은 겨울철에도 발광 다이오드의 발열 효과를 이용하여 활성 온도를 유지 할 수 있는 방안을 제안한다. 더불어, 산성광산배수 처리 시설은 전력을 쉽게 공급할 수 없는 곳에 위치한 지리적인 특성을 고려하여, 발광 다이오드에 전원을 공급할 수 있는 전원 공급 장치로 태양 전지 모듈 사용을 제안한다. 본 방법을 통하여 추가적 연구들이 진행된다면, 태양광 에너지와 발광 다이오드를 융합한 친환경적인 방법을 이용하여 겨울철에도 산성광산배수 처리 기술의 효율을 극대화 할 수 있을 것이다.

고속 철도 교량의 구조 건전성 모니터링을 위한 스마트 무선 센서 프레임워크 개발 (Development of Wireless Smart Sensing Framework for Structural Health Monitoring of High-speed Railway Bridges)

  • 본 우리나라 철도 영업 구간중 철도교량은 2012년 기준 약 25%를 차지한다. 이러한 교량 구조들은 시공 직후부터 열차의 충격하중, 태풍, 선박 및 차량 충돌 등 다양한 하중을 받게 된다. 특히 고속 철도 교량의 경우, 열차의 속도로부터 전가되는 매우 큰 충격하중을 받게 되며, 이러한 교량에 가해지는 충격 응답을 분석하는 것은 교량의 안전성 평가에 매우 중요하다. 최근 무선 센서를 이용해 교량의 건전성을 평가하는 연구들이 주목받고 있다. 무선 센서는 가격 및 설치의 용이성으로 인해 교량의 응답계측에 유용하게 적용되고 있다. 하지만 고속철도 교량에서 발생하는 충격 하중은 그 지속시간이 10초 내외로 매우 짧게 발생하므로, 기존 무선 센서의 시스템의 자체 실행 후 시간 지연으로 인해, 이러한 충격하중의 계측은 매우 어렵게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 철도 교량의 충격하중에 의한 구조물의 응답을 계측하기 위한 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 프레임워크를 제안한다. 구체적으로 1) 초저전력 가속도계를 이용한 구조물의 과도응답 감지 및 평가, 2) 무선 센서 네트워크의 트리거링 후 계측이 시작되는 지연 시간의 단축, 그리고 네트워크의 시간 및 데이터 동기화 기법을 개발하였다. 최종적으로 제안된 프레임 워크에서 소수의 진동 감지 센서 노드들이 상시진동을 계측하며, 열차의 진입으로 인한 진동이 감지될 시, 전체 센서 네트워크의 계측을 시작한다. 시간 지연을 최소화하기 위해 모든 센서는 다른 시작시간을 가지며, 이를 제어하기 위해 후처리 기반 시간 동기화를 한다. 제안된 프레임워크는 실내실험 및 수치해석을 통해 그 효용성을 입증하였다.

개선된 실시간 NIALM 기반의 전기 에너지 패턴 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Electric Energy Pattern Based on Improved Real Time NIALM)

  • 기존의 NIALM 연구들은 부하 식별을 위해 전압 변동은 무시할 수 있고 식별 결과에 영향을 주지 않는다고 가정하기 때문에 일반적으로 전압과 관련된 PF나, 고조파 신호는 부하 식별을 위한 매개 변수로 고려되지 않았으나, 실제 이러한 조건은 스마트 홈 분야에서 NIALM의 응용성이 제한되는 어려움이 만든다. 본 논문의 실험을 통해 부하 모니터링 시스템의 정확성과 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위해 전압과 관련된 매개 변수와 고조파의 특성을 사용해야 한다고 결론을 내렸다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 홈 네트워크 환경에서 가전기기의 종류 및 전기 에너지 사용량을 효율적으로 분석할 수 있는 개선된 NIALM 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 방식은 가전기기 고유의 특징 및 동작 특성을 분석하고, 일부 가전기기가 가지고 있는 고조파 특성을 인식 매개변수로 활용함으로써 전력 에너지 사용 패턴 분석 및 추적할 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서 제안된 방식을 통해 홈 네트워크에서 실제 운용되는 가전 에너지 효율성 증대와 스마트그리드 전력 수요관리 시장에 서비스를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Gramian angular field 기반 비간섭 부하 모니터링 환경에서의 다중 상태 가전기기 분류 기법 (Classification Method of Multi-State Appliances in Non-intrusive Load Monitoring Environment based on Gramian Angular Field)

  • 비간섭 부하 모니터링은 사용자 에너지 소비량의 실시간 모니터링을 통해 가전기기의 사용량 예측 및 분류를 하는 기술로, 최근 에너지 절약의 수단으로 관심이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 GAF(Gramian angular field) 기반 1차원 시계열 데이터를 2차원 행렬로 변환하는 기법과, 합성곱 신경망(convolutional neural networks)을 결합해 사용자 전력 사용량 데이터로부터 가전기기를 예측하는 시스템을 제안한다. 학습을 위해 공개 가정용 전력 데이터인 REDD(residential energy disaggregation dataset)를 사용하고, GASF(Gramian angular summation field), GADF(Gramian angular difference field)의 분류 정확도를 확인한다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 이중 상태(on/off)를 가지는 가전기기에서 두 모델 모두 97%의 정확도를 보였고, 다중 상태를 가지는 기기에서 GASF는 95%로 GADF보다 3% 높은 정확도를 보임을 확인하였다. 차후 데이터의 량을 증가시키고 모델을 최적화해 정확도와 속도를 개선할 예정이다.

공기업의 BSC 구축에 관한 연구: 한국남부발전(주) 사례를 중심으로 (A Study on Implementing BSC in the Public Enterprises : The Case of Korea Southern Power)

  • 전략적 성과관리체계인 BSC(Balanced Scorecard)는 조직 성과향상을 위한 혁신적 도구로서 주목받아 오고 있다. 최근 몇 년간 정부는 BSC의 장점을 인식하고 공기업들이 BSC를 구축하여 조직을 혁신하고 성과를 극대화하도록 유도해왔다. 그러나 많은 공기업들의 경우 BSC 고유의 특성과 장점에 대한 충분한 공감대를 확보하지 못하고 기존의 평가 제도나 조직 문화의 특성으로 인해, 효과적인 BSC 구축 및 BSC 성과의 극대화에 어려움을 겪어오고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공기업 중 성공적으로 BSC를 도입한 것으로 평가를 받고 있는 한국남부발전(주) 사례를 분석함으로써, 공기업이 BSC를 구축할 때 수행해야 하는 활동 및 절차, 필요 자원(인력, 시간), 주요 의사결정 이슈 등을 실제 산출물과 함께 제시하였다. 이와 같은 프로젝트 세부 사항들은 공공기관 또는 비영리 기관들이 BSC를 구축하는 데 유용한 가이드라인으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한, 본 사례 기업이 BSC 구축과정에서 겪은 문제점에 대한 극복 노력과 이를 기반으로 도출한 시사점들은 BSC를 구축하고 운영하는 다른 조직들에게 유용한 경험 지식과 통찰력을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 지진재해대책법이 2009년 3월에 발효됨에 따라 가속도 지진관측을 수행하여야 할 기관이 대폭 확대되었다. 소방방재청의 추정에 의하면 최소 400개소의 자유장 가속도 관측소가 설치될 예정이다. 지진계측기의 성능 향상과 통신 기술의 발달로 지진관측소 설치가 보편화되면서 지진관측의 주 기능이 신속 피해 예측과 경보 발령 등 지진방재에 적극적으로 활용할 수 있도록 전환되고 있다. 신속 지진피해 예측의 기반기술인 실시간 지진동 영상화기법을 소개하였다. 이 기술은 신속한 지진피해 평가를 위한 실시간 자료 취합뿐 아니라 시각적으로 정보를 파악할 수 있도록 개발되어 활용되고 있다. 한편 지진피해는 주로 S 파와 연속되는 표면파에 의해 발생한다. 최초로 도달하는 P 파로부터 최대 지반운동 크기와 지진 피해를 예측하여 경보를 발령하는 것이 지진조기경보체계이다. 지진조기경보의 기술개발 현황과 함께 2007년 오대산지진에 적용한 예를 소개하였다. 조기경보 기술은 기상청의 지진통보 체계를 획기적으로 개선시킬 수 있다. 또한 지역별로 분산된 주요 국가 시설물의 지진방재를 위해 활용할 수 있는 분산형 조기경보 시스템의 구성과 활용방안을 제안하였다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. The frame and leaflet of the polymer valve were made from polyurethane, To evaluate the hemodynamic performance of the polymer valve a comparative study of flow dynamics past a polymer valve and a St. Jude Medical prosthetic valve under physiological pulsatile flow conditions in vitro was made. Comparisons between the valves were made on the transvalvular pressure drop, regurgitation volume and maximum valve opening area. The polymer valve showed smaller regurgitation volume and transvalvular pressure drop compared to the mechanical valve at higher heart rate. The results showed that the functional characteristics of the polymer valve compared favorably with those of the mechanical valve at higher heart rate. 30621 T00401030621 ^x Explosive evaporative removal process of biological tissue by absorption of a CW laser has been simulated by using gelatin and a multimode Nd:YAG laser. Because the point of maximun temperature of laser-irradiated gelatin exists below the surface due to surface cooling, evaporation at the boiling temperature is made explosively from below the surface. The important parameters of this process are the conduction loss to laser power absorption (defined as the conduction-to-laser power parameter, Nk), the convection heat transfer at the surface to conduction loss (defined as Bi), dimensionless extinction coefficient (defined as Br.), and dimensionless irradiation time (defined as Fo). Dependence of Fo on Nk and Bi has been observed by experiment, and the results have been compared with the numerical results obtained by solving a 2-dimensional conduction equation. Fo and explosion depth (from the surface to the point of maximun temperature) are increased when Nk and Bi are increased.To find out the minimum laser power for explosive evaporative removal process, steady state analysis has been also made.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Dependence of Fo on Nk and Bi has been observed by experiment, and the results have been compared with the numerical results obtained by solving a 2-dimensional conduction equation. Maximum output voltage of the developed magnetic nerve stimulator using the switching mode power supply is 3,000 volts and switching time is about 100 msec. Experimental results or human nerve stimulations using the developed stimulator are presented. 30768 T00401030768 ^x In this paper, we describe the design methodology and specifications of the developed module-based bedside monitors for patient monitoring. The bedside monitor consists of a main unit and module cases with various parameter modules. The main unit includes a 12.1" TFT color LCD, a main CPU board, and peripherals such as a module controller, Ethernet LAN card, video card, rotate/push button controller, etc. The main unit can connect at maximum three module cases each of which can accommodate up to 7 parameter modules. They include the modules for electrocardiograph, respiration, invasive blood pressure, noninvasive blood pressure, temperature, and SpO2 with Plethysmograph.

수학적 힘의 신장 프로그램을 적용한 교실 수업 동영상 자료 반복 학습이 자기 주도적 학습에 미치는 영향 - 수학 I 을 중심으로 - (The Influence of the repeated learning of moving picture materials applying 'the development of mathematical power' program on The Self-Directed Learning)

  • 수학교육의 중요성에도 불구하고 아직까지 고등학교 교육현장에서는 많은 학생들이 수학에 흥미를 잃고 어려움을 느끼며 입학시험이라는 현실 때문에 진정한 의미의 '수학하는' 경험을 하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점을 해결하고 수학에 좀 더 자신감을 갖고 스스로 공부하는 수업방식을 찾고자 하였다. 따라서 요즈음 학생들의 인터넷 사용이 생활화되어 있으므로 수학사와 역사, 과학, 실생활 문제 활용 및 자기평가를 바탕으로 한 '수학적 힘의 신장' 프로그램을 개발하여 교실에서 수업한 내용을 동영상으로 제작하여 학생들로 하여금 반복학습 할 수 있게 함으로써 공교육의 내실화를 통한 자기주도적 학습력을 신장시키고자 하였다. 우선 수학교과의 자기주도적 학습력의 신장과 인터넷학습프로그램의 시청여건, 학생 학부모의 인터넷 활용 교육에 대한 관심도에 대하여 실태분석을 실시하였고 문헌연구를 통하여 기존의 수학교과에서의 수학사 지도의 의의 및 협력학습, 수준별 학습, 자기주도적 학습, 인터넷 활용수업에 대하여 살펴보았다. 실제 '수학적 힘의 신장' 프로그램 적용에 있어서 먼저 프로그램 정착을 위한 교육적 여건을 조성하고 교수-학습 자료를 수집하며 교수-학습 모형의 체계를 확립하고 인터넷 메일과 교실 기자재를 활용한 학습을 위한 자료를 개발하며 수학 학습계획의 확립 및 실천을 위한 지도를 실시하였다. 이 후 '수학적 힘의 신장' 프로그램을 적용한 수준별 협력 발표 학습의 교수-학습 모형을 적용함과 동시에 보충 보통 심화과정의 수준별 학습지를 제작, 활용하고 인터넷 이메일과 교실 기자재를 통한 수업 동영상 시청을 지도하였다. 또한 프로그램이 얼마나 효과가 있었는지에 대해 수학교과에 대한 흥미도 태도 및 수학과 학업성취도, 자기주도적 학습의 변화를 통하여 알아보았다. 마지막으로 수학학습에 학생의 자발적 참여를 위한 여건 마련과 '수학적 힘의 신장' 프로그램 및 이를 적용한 교실수업 동영상 자료 반복학습의 구안 및 적용에 관한 결론과 제언을 기술하였다.

로봇 인터페이스 활용을 위한 가속도 센서 기반 제스처 인식 (Accelerometer-based Gesture Recognition for Robot Interface)

  • 로봇 자체 또는 로봇에 탑재된 콘텐츠와의 상호작용을 위해 일반적으로 영상 또는 음성 인식 기술이 사용된다. 그러나 영상 음성인식 기술은 아직까지 기술 및 환경 측면에서 해결해야 할 어려움이 존재하며, 실적용을 위해서는 사용자의 협조가 필요한 경우가 많다. 이로 인해 로봇과의 상호작용은 터치스크린 인터페이스를 중심으로 개발되고 있다. 향후 로봇 서비스의 확대 및 다양화를 위해서는 이들 영상 음성 중심의 기존 기술 외에 상호보완적으로 활용이 가능한 인터페이스 기술의 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 로봇 인터페이스 활용을 위한 가속도 센서 기반의 제스처 인식 기술의 개발에 대해 소개한다. 본 논문에서는 비교적 어려운 문제인 26개의 영문 알파벳 인식을 기준으로 성능을 평가하고 개발된 기술이 로봇에 적용된 사례를 제시하였다. 향후 가속도 센서가 포함된 다양한 장치들이 개발되고 이들이 로봇의 인터페이스로 사용될 때 현재 터치스크린 중심으로 된 로봇의 인터페이스 및 콘텐츠가 다양한 형태로 확장이 가능할 것으로 기대한다.
