이 연구는 공공도서관 독서교실 운영 현황을 분석하여 그 문제점과 개선점을 파악하여 독서교실의 운영 방안을 제안하였다. 독서교실 운영 현황 분석을 위한 데이터 수집은 부산지역 22개 공공도서관에서 실시하였던 2007년 겨울 독서교실 운영계획서와 결과보고서를 활용하였다. 또한 부산지역 22개 공공도서관 독서교실 담당사서에게 질문지를 배포하여 답변을 듣고 독서교실의 문제점과 개선점에 대해 분석하였다. 공공도서관 독서교실 운영의 문제점과 개선점으로는 정체성과 참여도, 교육내용, 인력, 사서재교육, 예산 시설 업무조직임을 밝혔다. 공공도서관의 고유성과 전통성을 유지하기 위한 독서교실 운영방안으로는 운영과정 전반에 관해 안내하는 독서교실 운영 매뉴얼 개발이 필요하다.

공공도서관의 독서회 운영은 독서활동을 활성화하는데 중요한 역할을 하기 때문에 독서회 발전과정을 살펴보기 위하여 그 동안 독서회 운영에 관한 실태조사를 1991년 1999년 2번 실시했었는데 2004년에 3번째 실시하여 그 결과를 서로 비교 분석했다. 공공도서관의 개관은 처음 실태를 조사할 때보다 배로 증가하였으며, 독서회운영에도 많은 관심을 보여 공공도서관의 독서활동을 활성화되고 있는데, 공공도서관 자체에서 독서회를 조직하여 운영하는 현상이 아주 적극적으로 나타났으며, 운영 예산도 많이 확보하고, 독서활동 장소도 적극적으로 제공해 주고 있다. 그러나 독서활동 프로그램의 개발과 독서회 운영 전담 전문가의 배치는 여전히 독서회 운영의 과제로 남아 있다.

The present study proposes a set of activities of teaching English reading through English newspapers to narrow the gap between the English required in authentic situation and the one taught in schools. Newspapers can provide students with opportunities to review what they have studied in the classes. The purpose of this study is, therefore, to investigate how extra-curricular activities using English newspapers have an influence on the development of the three low-achieving high school students' English reading ability. The five-month study yielded that the activities using English newspapers exerted positive effects on the students' interest in English and their English scores. It suggests that using English newspapers as teaching materials may be a desirable way both to motivate students to study English harder and to develop their English reading ability.

Reading room in the university is one of necessary facilities that university student must use. It is, therefore, very important to make reading room comfortable acoustically not only to minimize the annoyance to the users but also to provide efficiency in studying. Present study aims to investigate the current situation of reading room in terms of acoustics and moreover to find out the relationship between the indoor noise and users' satisfaction through questionnaire survey. As a result, the indoor noise level is quite higher than the 1st grade, 35 dB(A), that the Ministry of land, transport and maritime affairs suggests as certificate regulation for environment friendly building and there were lots of noise sources that can provoke users in studying or concentrating. Questionnaire survey illustrates that the sound when opening and closing door, and airborne sound from outdoor transmitted through window are most annoying, which affected users' dissatisfaction.

The present study has a dual purpose to investigate the current state of school English library and needs required for its effective use, and to propose a reading program at the school library. The literature on school library was reviewed. A questionnaire survey was done to find out the current situation of English library at the secondary school. The analysis of 26 secondary English teachers' responses reveals that there was the absence of librarians or reading specialists at the school English library. It was also found that the uses of the English library were limited due to the absence of the specialists, no guidelines, and no link between the curriculum and the library use. A case study on a 2-week special reading program at the school English library was conducted and 15 middle school students took part in the project. The participants took pre- and post-tests to identify their reading level using a software and did a variety of reading activities using the books selected according to their level. The comparison of the tests shows that most of the students' reading level improved after the reading program. The analysis of their views on the program and its effects reveals that they gained confidence in reading and their vocabulary understanding was improved. Some suggestions are made for the effective management of the school English library.

이 연구는 국내 도서관운동과 독서운동의 지평을 확대하는 차원에서. 최근 국내에서 확산되고 있는 '한 책, 한 도시' 운동을 조명하였다. '한 책, 한 도시' 운동은 최근 수년 간 북미 전역에 확산되었으며, 많은 지역사회에서 성공적인 독서운동으로 보고되고 있다. 최근 국내에서도 여러 도시가 이러한 독서운동을 다양하게 추진하고 있다. 이 연구는'한 책, 한 도시'운동의 의미와 의의를 살펴보고. 국내 '한 책, 한 도시'운동의 주요 도시별 현황을 조사하고 분석하였다. 끝으로 이 연구는 국내 '한 책, 한 도시' 운동의 특징을 규명하고 한국 사회에 맞는 발전방안을 제시하였다.

본 연구는 독서과정에서 배경지식의 중요성을 인식하고 학교도서관의 독서교육에서 스키마 활성화 방안을 제시하는 연구를 진행하였다. 기초연구로서 독서의 과정과 스키마의 개념에 대해서 살펴보았으며 학교도서관 독서교육의 현황을 점검해 보았다. 스키마 활성화를 위해 학교도서관에서 필요한 독서전략을 살펴보고 이를 근거로 SQ3R독서법을 적용하여 수업모형을 개발하였다. 수업지도안을 설계하고 그래픽조직자를 활용한 학습 활동지를 제작하여 학교도서관에서 수업을 실시하였다. 전문가 검토의 결과를 수업모형에 반영하여 학교도서관의 독서교육에서 스키마 활성화를 위한 수업모형을 개발하였다.

This study is to investigate an argumentation level for elementary school students after analysing an argumentation structure about a socio scientific issue(SSI), and inquire a change of the decision-making according to the refutation materials and empathic situation. This data was collected from the semi-structured interview with the 14 students, grade 6th. For this, the first stage is to present the reading materials about the SSI to the students, let them decision-making and make them argue pro and con about the SSI during the interview. After that, facing with the refutation materials against the existing contention and the empathic situation, the change of the decision-making of the students was conducted. After the research, the level of the argumentation of the students was low, and the students who didn't have the background knowledge about the theme made the decisions according to the values, emotions or intuitions of their own. And the decision-making of the students changed more when presented with the refutation materials and the empathic situation, they were difficult to make the decision because of new information and various stances. Besides, they lacked in the ability that recognize the situation related with their own life, just used the fragmentary knowledge associated with value of life respect. Through these result, it is necessary to produce the refutation materials and empathic materials about the SSI to the students for improving the level of argumentation.

한국의 어린이도서는 세계 출판시장에서 문화상품으로서의 가치를 인정받고 있다. 국외에 소개되고 있는 한국 어린이도서의 출판 현황을 분석한 결과 중국에서는 어린이 학습용의 지식정보 그림책, 일본과 프랑스에서는 한국적 정서와 전통 문화를 다룬 전통문화 그림책이 중심을 이루고 있다. 특히 프랑스는 다양한 장르와 테마를 다룬 판타지 그림책과 어린이문학의 경계를 확장한 다양한 시도의 작품들을 소개하고 있다. 도서관계는 이러한 현상을 기반으로 어린이그림책의 독서콘텐츠로의 역할은 물론 우수한 문화콘텐츠로서의 역할과 확대 방안 등을 검토 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

Due to the reinforcement of government's DSM(Demand Side Management) policy. Solid State Meter was introduced in Korea since 1993 and it is applied to the high voltage customer exceeding 100kW in order to equalize daily load curve. In recent days, KEPCO has a Plan to use the Solid State Meter which has a data recording and remote meter-reading function for low voltage customer to introduce the real-time pricing system and reduce peak power in the near future. So, this paper suggests the specification and function of Solid State Meter.
