  • GTO inverter used for traction motor drives includes harmonics in the output current and torque by the limitation of switching frequency. However, the hybrid PWM method, using SPWM in low frequency range and SHE PWM in upper frequency range, can be obtained the relative less harmonic characteristic. The transient reaction, which the magnetic flux and the torque is altered and instantly the large current is flowed, may be produced at the mode change. This paper presents the techniques which can reduce the transient reactions produced in the gear changing of inverter fed traction motor drives operating in the hybrid PWM. The results are verified by the simulations.

베어링 Span을 고려한 저널 베어링의 동특성 해석 (Dynamic Characteristics of Journal Bearings Considering Bearing Span)

  • This paper numerically analyzes the dynamic characteristics of a spindle system supported by two identical journal bearingsconsidering bearing span that has dynamic load due to its mass unbalance. The Reynolds equation is transformed to solve a herringbone grooved journal bearing. The Reynolds equations are solved using FEM in order to calculate the pressure distribution in a fluid film. Reaction forces and friction torque are obtained by integrating the pressure and shear stress along the fluid film, respectively. Dynamic behaviors, such as whirl radius or angular displacement of a rotor, are determined by solving its nonlinear equations of motion with the Runge-Kutta method. This research shows that the same bearing spans of upper and lower journal bearings produce the minimum runout and friction torque of a spindle system.

  • This paper deals with the dynamic surface control based tracking control for a drone equipped with a 2-DOF manipulator. First, the dynamics of drone and 2-DOF manipulator are derived separately. And we obtain the combined model of a drone equipped with a manipulator considering the inertia and the reactive torque generated by a manipulator. Second, a dynamic surface control based attitude and altitude control method is presented. Also, multiple sliding mode control based position control method is presented. The system stability and convergence of tracking errors are proven using Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, the simulation results are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

  • This paper deals with analysis of a 3-phase high speed machine with diametrically magnetized rotor. The field equations due to magnet and stator windings are established in terms of vector potential and 2-d polar coordinate systems and then, characteristic equation of torque and back emf are derived by using field equations. Finally, this paper predicts open-circuit field, armature reaction field distributions, field distributions on load, torque and back emf distributions from those of equations. Results are compared with predictions from corresponding finite element analyses.

  • This paper deals with the power conversion and design of permanent magnet generator for wind power applications. This paper derives analytical solutions for open-circuit field, armature reaction field, torque, back-emf, inductance and resistance of permanent magnet generators for wind power applications. And then, by presenting the variation of torque according to design parameters and by applying restrict conditions to it, we determine proper design parameter appropriate to rated power and speed. Finally, this paper also presents power conversion system resonable in wind power applications.

Time Optimal Attitude Maneuver Strategies for the Agile Spacecraft with Reaction Wheels and Thrusters

  • Reaction wheels and thrusters are commonly used for the satellite attitude control. Since satellites frequently need fast maneuvers, the minimum time maneuvers have been extensively studied. When the speed of attitude maneuver is restricted due to the wheel torque capacity of low level, the combinational use of wheel and thruster is considered. In this paper, minimum time optimal control performances with reaction wheels and thrusters are studied. We first identify the features of the maneuvers of the satellite with reaction wheels only. It is shown that the time-optimal maneuver for the satellite with four reaction wheels in a pyramid configuration occurs on the fashion of single axis rotation. Pseudo control logic for reaction wheels is successfully adopted for smooth and chattering-free time-optimal maneuvers. Secondly, two different thrusting logics for satellite time-optimal attitude maneuver are compared with each other: constant time-sharing thrusting logic and varying time-sharing thrusting logic. The newly suggested varying time-sharing thrusting logic is found to reduce the maneuvering time dramatically. Finally, the hybrid control with reaction wheels and thrusters are considered. The simulation results show that the simultaneous actuation of reaction wheels and thrusters with varying time-sharing logic reduces the maneuvering time enormously. Spacecraft model is Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite (KOMPSAT)-2 which is being developed in Korea as an agile maneuvering satellite.

롤생산방식 유연회로기판의 레이저 드릴링 고속화 요소기술 (Enabling Technology for High-Speed Laser Drilling of Roll Type FPCB)

  • Roll to Roll (이하 RTR)로 연결된 유연회로기판(이하 FPCB)에서 일정한 장력을 유지하여 안정적인 홀 가공이 가능하게 하는 Dancer Roll System를 경량화하고 서보모터를 활용한 토크 제어를 통해 기존 방식 FPCB RTR에서는 대응 불가능하였던 중력가속도의 2배가 되는(이하 2.0G) 가속도의 고속 가공이 가능하도록 요소기술과 성능 지표를 제시한다. 기존 마그넷 클러치 방식 RTR에서는 달성이 불가능하였던 높은 회전수와 발열 문제, 낮은 토크 문제등을 마그네슘 소재를 이용한 Roll의 경량 가공법 개발과 서보모터의 토크 제어 알고리즘 개발을 통하여 해결하여 FPCB에 균일한 장력을 제공하고 토크 안정성을 높인다. 본 연구에서 개발한 요소 기술로 인해 Dancer Roll의 반응속도가 개선되어 목표한 고속화를 달성하였다.

배압실의 설계를 통한 상호회전 스크롤 압축기의 전복 모멘트 최소화 (Minimization of Tilting Moment of Co-Rotating Scroll Compressor by Design of Back Pressure Chamber)

  • In a co-rotating scroll compressor, both scrolls rotate on their fixed axes contrary to the conventional orbiting type scroll machine. This implies fixed locations and directions of the gas pressure force and sealing force. Because the tilting moment is mainly caused by interplay between the resultant force of above forces and bearing reaction force, the variation during one cycle is relatively small. Under real operation, this moment is balanced by the restoring moment created by the reaction between the baseplate and thrust bearing or between the scroll tip and baseplate. If these reactions become too large, greater torque is required due to increased friction in addition to the wear of mating parts. Consequently, appropriate study and minimization of tilting moment is important in the design of scroll machines. In this study, taking into account of the small variation of tilting moment during one cycle, we minimize the moment and thrust bearing reaction force by a properly designed back pressure chamber. As a result, for both the driving and driven scrolls, the tilting moment and the reaction force of thrust bearing can be minimized. And the stability is improved for all cases.

저궤도 위성체의 모델링 및 자세제어 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Modelling and Attitude Control Techniques of LEO Satellite)

  • 반작용과 자이로를 사용하는 저궤도 위성체의 3축 제어에서 반작용휠은 휠 속도나 운동량으로 제어토크를 만들고 자이로는 자세각과 자세각속도를 측정한다. 본 논문에서 저궤도 위성체의 다이나믹 모델링은 기본적인 본체만을 고려한 강체에 태양전지판 등을 고려한 연성체의 회전운동방정식과 반작용휠로 구성된다. 강인제어기$(H_\infty)$는 외란에 의한 모델이 가변될 수 있는 강체 및 연성체를 포함한 플랜트를 안정화시키기 위해 적용하였으며, 기존 저궤도 위성체를 안정화시키기 위해 사용된 PI 제어기와 성능을 비교하여 자세제어에 필요한 위상제어의 우수성을 보여주는데 있다.

고등학교 투척선수들의 plyometric training과 weight training이 순발력, 민첩성 및 최대 근력에 미치는 영향 (The Differential Effects of Plyometric Training and Weight Training on Muscular Power, Agility and Maximal Muscular Strength of the Male and Female High-school Throwers)

  • 본 연구는 육상 투척선수들의 plometric training과 weight training 프로그램 훈련이 순발력 및 민첩성과 최대 근력의 운동능력 향상에 어떠한 영향을 가져오는지 검증하기 위하여 고등학교 재학 중인 투척선수 21명을 대상으로 plyometric training과 weight training을 10주간의 트레이닝을 실시하여 여자 집단(10명)과 남자 집단(11명)으로 분류하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 순발력에 있어서 제자리멀리뛰기, 서전트 점프, 30 m 달리기는 트레이닝 전에 비해 두 집단 모두 향상도를 보였으며, 여자 집단이 더 높은 향상도를 나타냈다. 민첩성에 있어서 사이드스텝, 버피 스텝, 전신반응 테스트는 트레이닝 전에 비해 모두 향상도를 보였으며, 사이드스텝과 버피 스텝은 여자 집단이 더 높은 향상도를 나타냈으며, 전신반응 테스트는 남자 집단이 더 높은 향상도를 나타냈다. 하지 근력에 있어서 squat, leg press는 트레이닝 전에 비해 모두 향상도를 보였으며, 여자 집단이 더 높은 향상도를 나타냈다. 무릎 관절 등속성 근력에 있어서 왼쪽, 오른쪽 신근력과 굴근력은 트레이닝 전에 비해 모두 향상도를 보였으며, 왼쪽 신근력은 남자 집단이 더 높은 향상도를 나타냈으며, 왼쪽 굴근력, 오른쪽 신근력, 오른쪽 굴근력은 여자 집단이 더 높은 향상도를 나타냈다. 상지의 근력에 있어서 Bench press, 배근력은 트레이닝전에 비해 모두 향상도를 보였으며, 여자집단이 더 높은 향상도를 나타냈다.
