  • In this paper, we study delayed high-order Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with reaction-diffusion terms and Neumann boundary conditions. By using inequality techniques and constructing Lyapunov functional method, some sufficient conditions are given to ensure the existence and convergence of the periodic oscillatory solution. Finally, an example is given to verify the theoretical analysis.

  • ORMOSIL was synthesized with inorganic precursor, TEOS and organic precursor, PDMS, and the variation of composite properties according to the concentration of HCl, solvent content and reaction time were studied. As the concentration of HCl increased, condensation reaction was well proceeded and more regularly distributed network was observed. Increase in reactivity was found with the amount of solvent, and composite had a tendency of forming more porous microstructure as reaction time was increased, which had no influence on the bonding degree.

  • In this paper, we are concerned with the existence of random dynamics for stochastic non-autonomous reaction-diffusion equations driven by a Wiener-type multiplicative noise defined on the unbounded domains.

  • Flexible parts comparing with rigid parts can be deformed by contact force during assembly. for successful assembly, information about their deformation as well as possible misalignment between mating parts is essential. Howecer, because of the complex relationship between parts deformation and reaction forces, it is difficult to acquire all required information from the reaction forces alone. In this paper, we measure parts deformation and misalignments by using the visual sensing system presented for flexible parts assembly. Experimental results show that the system can be effectively used for detecting parts deformation and misalignments between mating parts.

  • The charateristic of hydration reaction was studied in CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 system glass. As a result, the rate of heat liberation curves of synthestized glass becomes fixed after having increased by degrees. And it is decreasing after having increased suddenly. It was found that the total heat liberation with hydration for synthesized glass has a close relationship with the formation amount of ettringite.

  • A model peptide, N-carbobenzoxy-L-phenylalanyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester, was synthersized with free and immobilized thermolysin in a microaqueous system. The model peptide was formed mostly during the initial phase of the reaction. The yields of the compound with free and immobilized thermolysin after 4hr of reaction were 77.8 and 71.2, respectively.

  • Fluid is an effective element in computer animation. Recently, the techniques from CFD have been actively applied to CG production. In this paper, we describe our fluid animation system which implements a variety of established simulation and rendering methods. We also explain our new techniques such as chemical reaction and hardware-assisted fluid animation that are being developed to enhance the features of our software system.

  • An idealized linear collision model has been employed to calculate the reaction probabilities for the three-atom rearrangement reaction $A+B-C{\to}A-B+C$. Potential energy surface used is also a highly idealized one with constant values. Numerical results were obtained for the system in which the atomic masses of all three atoms are the same. Potentials were varied to see the effect of the magnitude of the opposing potential barrier on the reaction probabilities. Results obtained were compared with those obtained using different models.

  • The cure kinetics of a cycloalipatic epoxy / anhydride / Co(II) system for a no-flow underfill encapsulant, has been studied by using a differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) under isothermal and dynamic conditions over the temperature range of $160^{\circ}C ~220^{\circ}C$. The kinetic analysis was carried out by fitting dynamic/isothermal heating experimental data to the kinetic expressions to determine the reaction parameters, such as order of reaction and reaction constants. Diffusion-controlled reaction has been observed as the cure conversion increases and successfully analyzed by incorporating the diffusion control term into the rate equation. The prediction of reaction rates by the model equation corresponded well to experimental data at all temperature.

  • Erythrosine used as a colouring agent in drugs, cosmetics and foods in Korea, was examined for its effects on murine immune system and methemoglobin formation. As immunotoxicologic assay parameters, we adopted circulating leukocytes and immunoorgan weights for pathotoxicology, IgM plaque forming cells and arthus reaction for humoral immunity, delayed hypersensitivity reaction of cell mediated immunity and carbon clearacnce for macrophage function. Erythrosine's effects were observed as follows; 1. Ery throsine showed no significant effects on circulating leulocyte counts and relative immunoorgan weight. 2. Erythrosine diminished IgM plaque forming cells. 3. Erythrosine decreased arthus reaction, in the dose dependent manner. 4. Erythrosine had no significant effect on delayed hypersensitivity. 5. Phagocytic and corrected phagocytic index were not affected. 6. Methemoglobin content was similar in the test and control groups.
