호알칼리성 목질분해 효소를 이용한 폐지 재생(제2보) - 알칼리성 목질분해 효소 정제 및 섬유 반응 특성 - (Recycling of Waste Paper with Alkaline Cellulolytic Enzyme (II) - Purification of alkaline cellulolytic enzymes and characteristics of reaction with fiber -)

  • Alkaline cellulolytic enzymes from cultured medium of Coprinus cinereus 2249 were purified with gel and ion-exchange chromatography and characteristics of those enzyme proteins were investigated. A fiber length distribution and a crystallinity of cellulose and sugar composition of enzyme treated Mixed Office Wastepaper(MOW) and Unbleached Kraft Pulp(UKP) were analysed. The conclusion could summarized as follows; \circled1 Alkaline and acidic, endo- and exo-glucanases were purified from cultured medium of Coprinus cinereus 2249. \circled2 The approximate molecular weight of alkaline endo-glucanase was 42 kDa, and also that of alkaline exo-glucanase was 50 kDa. A fiber length distribution and a crystallization of cellulose and sugar composition of enzyme treated MOW and UKP were not so much changed with original paper and pulp.

  • 사성분계 랜덤 공중합체인 poly(butylene glutarate-co-adipate-co-succinate-co-terephthalate)(PBGAST)를 합성하고 $^1H-NMR$ 분광분석법, 시차주사열량분석법(DSC) 및 X-선회절법 등을 시행하였다. PBGAST 공중합체의 융점거동과 결정화거동은 반응조건 뿐 만 아니라 공중합체내 terephthalate 단위의 함량에도 의존하였다.

  • The effects of urea addition and reaction conditions were examined in the prepareation of zirconia coated SiC whiskers through surface precipitation taking place during high-temperature aging of Zr(SO4)2 solutions containing the whiskers. More dense zirconia-hydrate was precipitated on the surfaces of the whiskers in the presence of urea. The ratio of the concentration of Zr(SO4)2 to the amount of added whiskers was the most important factor to confine the precipitation of zirconia-hydrate only at the surfaces of the whiskers The from of the coating layers was unchanged after heat-treatment leading to the dehydration and crystallization of the layers.

Solid-state metathetic synthesis of MWO4 (M=Zn, Co) particles assisted by microwave irradiation

  • Metathetic route for the $MWO_4$ (M=Zn, Co) particles is a simple method of synthesis and a viable alternative method in a short time. $MWO_4$ (M=Zn, Co) particles were synthesized using solid-state metathetic (SSM) method with microwave irradiation. The $MWO_4$ (M=Zn, Co) particles were formed completely at $600^{\circ}C$ for 3 h. The crystallization process, thermal decomposition and morphology of the $MWO_4$(M= Zn, Co) particles were evaluated. The characteristics of the SSM reaction and the formation of a high lattice energy by-product NaCl were discussed.

섬유보강 규산칼슘수화물 경화체의 미세조직과 기계적 특성 (The Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Fiber Reinforced Calcium Silicate Hydrates)

  • High flexible lightweight composites containing tobermorite as a main mineral is produced using various amorphous silicates, lime, cement and fibers. Here, Mechanical properties of the composites were studied by observing microstructures of hydrates and fibers. Amorphous silicates having better hydraulicity retarded the crystallization of tobermorite due to better formation of C-S-H gel in water bath curing, but, difficult conversion from C-S-H gel to tobermorite in hydrothermal reaction. In the low molar ratio of CaO/SiO2 (0.67), faster crystalization was observed dued to more impurities such as Al2O3 alkali, resulting in improving mechanical properties due to small crystal size and many contact points. It was identified that a lot of calcium silicate hydates formed at surface of pulps increase bonding strength and the crack-resistance of matrix in the composites, but decrease hardness and compressive strength. The choice of amorpous silicates having better hydraulicity, low CaO/SiO2 adding each fibers bellow about 5% in the raw mixs and lower molding pressure should be needed at improve mechanical properties of composites.

국산 고령토로 합성한 제올라이트 A의 이온교환성 (The Ion-Exchange Properties of Synthetic Zeolite A from Domestic Kaolin)

  • Synthetic zeolite A was prerared from domestic Hadong kaolin with sodium hydroxide solution and their ion exchange isotherms of $K^+$, $NH^{4+}$, $Li^+$ and $Ag^+$ ion were presented. The optimum reaction conditions for synthetic zeolite A from calcinated kaolin were 2 fold excess of 2N sodium hydroxide solution, 10$0^{\circ}C$ and 8 hours. It was observed that before the crystallization of zeolite A the samples reacted with sodium hydroxide solution had rather higher ion exchange capacities than zeolite A. The $K^+$-$Na^+$ and $Ag^+$$Na^+$ ion exchange isotherms were signoidal. The initial selectivity series was in the order $Ag^+$$K^+$>$Na^+$>$NH_4$>$Li^+$. Between approximately 33 and 67% replacement of soium ions the selectivity series became $Na^>$ and above 67% became $Ag^+$>$K^+$. Evidence were also presented to demonstrate that 8 out of 12 sodium ions per pseudo unit cell were not easily replaceable by lithium ions and 4 out of 12 not easily replaceable by ammonium ions.

임펠러 형상에 따른 교반기의 유동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flow Characteristics of Mixer by Impeller Types)

  • Mixers are used in several industrial applications where it is necessary to strongly mix reactants in a short period of time (eg. reaction injection molding, ceramics manufacturing, crystallization). However, despite their widespread use, mixing flow characteristics in these systems have not been rigorously investigated. Influence of blade shapes on the mixing time and the power consumption per unit volume in two kinds of impeller including the mixing effects are studied by PIV experiment. A series of the experiments were carried out to achieve a better mixing effect in simple baffle arrangement and tall vessel with modified impellers(two kinds of blades : pitched blade turbine and rushton turbine). Results show that periodic vortex from the mixing layer is predominant and related unsteady flow characteristics prevail over the entire region.

Effects of Sintering Additives on the Microstructure Development in Silicon Oxynitride Ceramics

  • Using a small amount of additives and amorphous Si₂N₂O powders, O-SiAlON ceramics have been hot-pressed and its microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated. Scandium oxide was demonstrated to be an effective densification additive for O-SiAlON. Amorphous Si₂N₂O was densified at relatively low temperatures and a microstructure with acicular grains was developed. Fine grains found in materials obtained from amorphous powders suggest that nucleation and crystallization of O-SiAlOH is relatively easy compared with the Si₃N₄-SiO₂reaction.

  • The quinolinic acid(QA) phosphoribosyltransferase (PRTase) (EC 2.4.2.19), is a key enzyme involved in NAD$\^$+/ biosynthesis in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, The QAPRTase produces nicotinic acid mononucleotide (NAMN) from QA and 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate (PRPP). For this reaction, the QA is decarboxylated (Fig.1). Produced NAMN is used to a synthesis of nicotinate adenine dinucleotide(NAD$\^$+/).

MOCVD 법에 의해 증착된 TiO$_2$ 박막의 결정구조 및 광학적 특성 (Structural and Optical Properties of TiO$_2$ Films Deposited by MOCVD)

  • TiO$_{2}$ tin films have been grown by MOCVD and their cahracteristics of crystallization and microstructures ahve been invetigated. Envelope mehtods are applied to the analysis of the transmission spectra to obtain the optical constants such as refractive indices and extinction coefficients for the TiO$_{2}$ thin films. The envelope methods are proved to be accurate by simulatin gthe transmission spectra. TiO$_{2}$ thin films start to crystallize at 350.deg.C and then crystallize fully into anatase phase at 400.deg.C or higher temperatures. Activation energies are obtained by plotting the deposition rate with varying the substrate temperature. It is 17.8 kcal/mol for the reaction limited regions. The refractive index and the extinction coefficient of the TiO$_{2}$ thin film at .gamma.=632.8 nm increases from 2.19 to 2.32 and decreases from 0.021 to 0.007, respectively, as the substrate temperature increases from 400 to 600.deg. C.
