Decision Making Style and Learning Style according to Sasang Constitution (사상체질에 따른 의사결정 및 학습 유형)

  • Objectives : This study was performed to investigate the relationship between decision making style and learning style according to Sasang constitution. Methods : The subjects were 213 nursing students of K college in Jeonbuk, and the period of data gathering was limited from 1 Sep. 2009 to 7 Sep. 2009. The instrument tools included QSCC II, decision making style, and learning style. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS-PC programme. Results : 1. Decision making style: Soeumin group had significantly high score in rational score compared with Soyangin(F=7.174 p=.001), and in dependent score compared with Taeumin and Soyangin (F=3.414, p=.035). 2. Learning style: Soyangin group had significantly high score in cooperation score compared with Taeumin(F=5.688 p=.004), and Taeumin group had significantly high score in emulous score compared with Soeumin and Soyangin (F=.148, p=.002). Conclusions : In conclusion, it was found that decision making style and learning style are significantly different according to Sasang constitution. Therefore, these results suggest that nursing educational program needs to be developed considering Sasang constitution.

A Comparative Study on Fisheries System between South Korea and North Korea (남북한 수산제도의 비교연구)

  • For establishment of post-Unification fisheries program, this research has opened a fisheries Act system for South and North Korea and searched a policy direction to make new Fisheries Act for future South and North Korean fisheries program. In addition, North Korea's present fishery industry must be accurately understood and acknowledge in its point of issues in order to develop and improve to rational direction and to overcome the present South and North's fishery industry. As a level to prepare for future unification, reform and reaction of long-termed and well organized South and North's fisheries program must be arranged. Consequently, fishing permits of South and North, licensing system, fisheries resource management system, fisheries adjustment system, foreign fishing regulations system will be compared in this research, and also find an improvement on North Korea's fisheries related act in preparation of future unification.

  • 임의의 입력 해상도와 출력 해상도의 비율로 주어지는 영상 축소 스케일러를 구현하려면 축소된 영상에 대한 화소의 좌표를 계산하기 위해서 범용 제산기의 사용이 요구된다. 이 범용 제산기는 매 화소마다 동작해야하기 때문에 처리속도를 높이기 위하여 LUT로 구현되나, LUT의 정밀도에 따라서 하드웨어의 규모가 비대해지는 문제가 야기된다. 본 논문에서는 제산기나 LUT 기반의 제산 연산을 수반하지 않는 영상 축소 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 비교기와 가산기 만으로 구성되어 있으며, 임의의 유리수로 표현되는 축소 비율을 허용함에도 불구하고, 기존 방식에 비해서 1/10 이하로 하드웨어 규모를 줄이는 것이 가능하다.

  • It is urgent to introduce home visiting physical therapy in order to prevent the unnecessary increase of demand and extravagance for the nation-wide execution of medical insurance and for the medical demand and supply of medical delivery system. We think that it is very important for us, as a physical therapist preparing 21 centry, to clearly undersand the necessity of home visiting physical therapy, which will be needed as the new therapeutic field in the future. When the terms for a new health and medical system, that is, useful trained-manpower, well-equipped facilities, financial and legal support, well-prepared design for this project, positive cooperation between people involved in this project and rational development of the project is held and this project is settled by sieving tile expected problems, this project will give a contribution to the promotion of national health and social welfare

  • The design and manufacture of injection molded Sear with desired Properties is a costly process dominated by empiricism including the interactive modification of prototype toolings. In this paper, an interactive computer-based design system for injection molded gear is developed in order to realize the concept of rational design for the productivity and quality of mold making of a small plastic gear. The knowledge-based synthesis system being developed in this paper combines a rule-based expert system with analytical process simulation programs in a synergistical manner. Quick and logical evaluations on the design of injection molded gear can be made on the scientific analysis and the accumulated experts' knowledge.

CAN TRUST BETWEEN AN OWNER AND A CONTRACTOR BE ESTABLISHED: A PRINCIPAL-AGENT PERSPECTIVE

  • The cooperation and trust among the project participants play a critical role in the success or failure of any delivery system in construction industry. But it is very difficult to establish trust between an owner and a contractor when rational people only pursue only their own material self-interest. Based on the principal-agent theory, this paper will introduce the altruistic behavior into the traditional principal-agent model, and model the reciprocal behavior between the owner and contractor. We will show that both the owner and the contractor benefit from their reciprocal behavior, and hence trust establishing between them is possible. More importantly, we will proof that the higher the project uncertainty is, the more important trust establishing is.

The Effect of Work-Family Spillover on Organizational Attachment of Women Managers (여성 관리자의 일-가족전이가 조직애착에 미치는 영향 : 조직문화의 상호작용효과를 중심으로)

  • This study examined the effects of work-family spillover on the organizational attachment of female managers. The 4th and 5th data sets of Korean Women Manager Panel Survey established by the Korean Women's Development Institute were merged and the 5th data set for female managers was analyzed. The findings reveal that work-family support relationship is an important factor for strengthening the organizational attachment on the part of female managers. For working women, organizational support and family support is the most significant driving force for retaining their career. Second, negative spillover from family to work rather than that from work to family had a stronger impact on the organizational attachment of female managers. This finding suggests that women are not free from their status in the family, and that conflict relationships originating from the family ha a stronger impact on women's organizational attachment than that generated from work. Third, the third stage model incorporates the interaction terms of work-family spillover and organizational culture. The results showed that the interaction effect alone remains. In particular, family-work positive spillover exerts positive (+) effects on the organizational attachment only if a rational organizational culture is in place. Work-family negative spillover, however, shows negative (-) effects under rational organizational culture. Family-work negative spillover combined with rational organizational culture reinforces the organizational attachment, but has negative (-) effects under traditional organizational culture. The implications might be that women may experience negative family to work spillover, which may weaken their organizational attachment and that a rational organizational culture can reverse the spillover effect and increase the organizational attachment of female managers. No interaction effect of organizational culture appears for work to family negative spillover. A differential effect by the direction of spillover requires further study. In addition, more study will be needed to develop a more integrative model with the relevant variables not included in this study and sub-group analyses will be needed to ascertain the differences within female managers.

Career decision-making styles and career maturity amongst Korean undergraduate students (대학생의 진로의사결정유형에 따른 진로의식성숙)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in university student's career maturity according to general characteristics(for example, gender, grade, and SES) and undergraduate student's career decision-making styles. A scale measuring the career decision-making styles(Harren, 1984) and career maturity(Crites, 1978) was administered to 223 university students around the capital city. The data were analyzed using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ tests, means, standard deviations, One-way MANOVAs, and Multiple Discriminant Analyses. The results of this study were as follows: 1. There was not significant difference by gender in career maturity. But there were significant differences by grade and SES in career maturity. Freshmen and Senior exhibited higher career decision-making attitude than sophomores and juniors. High-SES group showed higher career decision-making attitude and lower career independence. 2. There were significant differences by career decision-making styles in career maturity. 51.1% of our samples were rational decision-making styles, 30.0% of our samples were intuitive decision-making styles, and 18.8% of our samples were dependent decision-making styles. Undergraduate students with rational decision-making styles showed more positive career choice behavior and higher career independence than undergraduate students dependent decision-making styles.

Development and Validation of College Students' Core Competency Assessment: Based on the Case of S University (대학생 핵심역량 진단도구 개발 및 타당화 연구 -S대학 사례를 중심으로-)

  • This study was conducted with the aim of developing inspection tools to select and measure human resource figures and appropriate core competency of the educational goals pursued by S universities. Therefore, key competency factors were defined consistent with concept of talented figures and educational objectives of S universities, inspection tools were developed to measure core competences, and directions are presented for future education policies and curriculum compilation and securing data for rational operation. Based on key competency indicators, questions were developed in a self-reporting form that measures the consent level of the respondents by comprising seven areas of competence, 16 small areas (sub-capacity), and 46 questions. The main Test conducted an analysis of the questionnaires based on the survey results of 2,486 people to ensure the validity of the inspection by conducting a positive factor analysis and reliability analysis. The core competency diagnostic tool of S university is meaningful in this study which verifies the effectiveness of the curriculum and programs conducted at S university and as the first step for the rational operation of the core competency certification system to improve the competency appropriate for students.

  • Fuel tank of a rotorcraft has a great influence on the survivability of crews. For a long time, US army has tried to develop the proper material for fuel cell of a military rotorcraft. As a result, the design specification of fuel cell, MIL-T-27422A, was issued for the first time on 1961. Through a few revisions, it has been developed to ML-DTL-27422D in 2007. It should be assured that fuel cell satisfies the requirement defined in MIL-DTL-27422D. The qualification test of this specification is classified into Phase I test for material and Phase II for fuel cell itself. This paper studies test conditions and procedures of slosh & vibration, gunfire resistance and crash impact test. They are considered as the most important tests which have a high possibility of failure. The rational consideration of this paper can improve the ability for estimating not only the validity of test procedure and test condition but test result. Based on the rational consideration, it is expected that the ability of the systematic development can be improved.
