  • Geostationary Orbit satellite, unlike other sun-synchronous polar-orbit satellites, will be able to take a picture of a large region several times a day (almost with everyone hour interval). For geostationary satellite, the target region is fixed though the location of sun is changed always. However, Sun-synchronous polar-orbit satellites able to take a picture of target region same time a everyday. Thus Ocean signal is almost same. Accordingly, the ocean signal of a given target point is largely dependent on time. In other words, the ocean signal detected by geostationary satellite sensor must translate to the signal of target when both sun and satellite are located in nadir, using another correction model. This correction is performed with a standardization of signal throughout relative geometric relationship among satellite-sun-target points. This relative ratio called bidirectional factor. To find relationship between time and $[L_w]_N$/Bidirectional Factor differences, we are calculate solar position, geometry parameters. And reflectance, total radiance at the top of atmosphere(). And water leaving radiance, normalized water leaving radiance. And calculate bidirectional factor, that is the ratio of $[L_w]_N$ between target region and aiming the point. Then, we can make the bidirectional factor lookup table for one year imaging. So, we suggested for necessary to simulation experiment bidirectional factor in more various condition(wavelength and ocean/air condition).

  • To estimate the structural seismic demand, some methods are based on an equivalent linear system such as the Capacity Spectrum Method, the N2 method and the Equivalent Linearization method. Another category, widely investigated, is based on displacement correction such as the Displacement Coefficient Method and the Coefficient Method. Its basic concept consists in converting the elastic linear displacement of an equivalent Single Degree of Freedom system (SDOF) into a corresponding inelastic displacement. It relies on adequate modifying or reduction coefficient such as the inelastic deformation ratio which is usually developed for systems with known ductility factors ($C_{\mu}$) and ($C_R$) for known yield-strength reduction factor. The present paper proposes a rational approach which estimates this inelastic deformation ratio for SDOF bilinear systems by rigorous nonlinear analysis. It proposes a new inelastic deformation ratio which unifies and combines both $C_{\mu}$ and $C_R$ effects. It is defined by the ratio between the inelastic and elastic maximum lateral displacement demands. Three options are investigated in order to express the inelastic response spectra in terms of: ductility demand, yield strength reduction factor, and inelastic deformation ratio which depends on the period, the post-to-preyield stiffness ratio, the yield strength and the peak ground acceleration. This new inelastic deformation ratio ($C_{\eta}$) is describes the response spectra and is related to the capacity curve (pushover curve): normalized yield strength coefficient (${\eta}$), post-to-preyield stiffness ratio (${\alpha}$), natural period (T), peak ductility factor (${\mu}$), and the yield strength reduction factor ($R_y$). For illustrative purposes, instantaneous ductility demand and yield strength reduction factor for a SDOF system subject to various recorded motions (El-Centro 1940 (N/S), Boumerdes: Algeria 2003). The method accuracy is investigated and compared to classical formulations, for various hysteretic models and values of the normalized yield strength coefficient (${\eta}$), post-to-preyield stiffness ratio (${\alpha}$), and natural period (T). Though the ductility demand and yield strength reduction factor differ greatly for some given T and ${\eta}$ ranges, they remain take close when ${\eta}>1$, whereas they are equal to 1 for periods $T{\geq}1s$.

  • The simple supported reinforced concrete slab bridges are analyzed by the specially orthotropic laminates theory. This method, however, may be too difficult for some practising engineers. In this paper, the result of analysis for such plate by means of the beam theory with unit width is reported. By using the "correction factor", the accurate solution for the plate can be obtained by the beam theory. The result of this paper can be used for reinforced concrete slab bridges analysis by the engineers with undergraduate study in near future.

  • The purpose of the paper is to suggest the empirical evidences for the effects of factor prices on the export performance in the Korean manufacturing industries during the period 1975:1-2016:4. The paper is to set up the error correction model derived from the autoregressive distributed lag scheme and to estimate the factor price elasticities of export in the 8 manufacturing industries. The real wage, interest and import price index elasticities of export all were estimated to be statistically significant at 1% level in the most industries with showing negative signs as expected. And the real wage elasticity proved to likely be smaller as the industries become more capital-intensive while the import price index elasticity tended to become larger in industries with larger ratio of imported intermediate goods to output. The empirical results suggest that the declines in input factor prices since the foreign exchange crisis in the end of 1997 have positive effects on the export performance in the Korean manufacturing industries.

  • In this paper, we realize the active PFC(Power Factor Correction) system of BF (Boost Forward) converter with PWM-PFM control technique to control DC output voltage, and to control the input current with sinusoidal wave synchronized by the converter and inverter using power switching element, FET and IGBT. The control circuit of the suggested Boost converter is implemented with a microprocessor 80C196. After making the ratio of output voltage to current as 50V/1A and the duty ratio greater than 0.5. When input voltage is 30V and boost inductance is 1.1mH. We control the voltage changing rate according to the variation of load resistance using a PWM-PFM control technique. And finally we prove experimentally. PF can be improved up to 0.96 using the current shaping technique.

  • A novel technique to measuret of viscoelastic properties of polymers is proposed to investigate complex Poisson's ratio as a function of frequency. The forced vibration responses for the samples under the normal and the shear deformation are to be measured with varying load masses. The measured data were used to obtain the viscoelastic properties of the material based on an accurate 2D numerical deformation model of the sample. The 2D model enabled us to exclude data correction by the empirical form factor used in 1D model. Comprehensive measurements of viscoelastic properties of two slightly varied silicone RTV rubber ($Silastic^{(R)}$ S2) compositions were performed. Standard composition (90% PDMS polymer + 10% catalyst) and modified composition (92.5% polymer + 7.5% catalyst) were tested in temperature range from $30^{\circ}C$ to $70^{\circ}C$. Shear modulus, modulus of elasticity, loss factor, and both the real and the imaginary parts of the Poisson's ratio were determined for frequencies from 50 to 400Hz in the linear deformation regime (at relative deformations $10^{-4}{\sim}10^{-3}$).

  • The paper first describes the atmospheric correction algorithm for the Ocean Color and Temperature Scanner (OCTS) visible band data used at Earth Observation Center (EOC) of National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA). It uses 10 candidate aerosol models including "Asian dust model" introduced in consideration of the unique feature of aerosols over the east Asian waters. Based on the observations at 670 and 865 nm bands where the reflectance of the water body can be discarded, the algorithm selects a pair of aerosol models that accounts best for the observed spectral reflectances to synthesize the aerosol reflectance in other bands. The paper also evaluates the performance of the algorithm by comparing the satellite estimates of water-leaving radiance and chlorophyll-a concentration with selected buoy-and ship-measured data. In comparison with the old CZCS-type atmospheric correction algorithm where the aerosol reflectance is as-sumed to be spectrally independent, the OCTS algorithm records factor 2-3 less error in estimating the normalized water-leaving radiances. In terms of chlorophyll-a concentration estimation, however, the accuracy stays vey similar compared to that of the CZCS-type algorithm. This is considered to be due to the nature of in-water algorithm which relies on spectral ratio of water-leaving radiances.

  • Despite the practical limitations of calculating the amount of inflow and supply related to the operation of agricultural reservoirs, the role of agricultural reservoirs is gradually being emphasized. In particular, as interest in disaster safety has increased, the demand for preliminary measures to prepare for disasters has been rising, for instance, pre-discharging agricultural reservoirs for flood control. The aim of this study is to analyze the plans for the flood season reservoir operation considering pre-discharge period and water level limit. Accordingly, we optimized the simulation of daily storage using the ratio correction factor (RCFs) and analyzed the amount of inflow and supply using K-HAS. In addition we developed the drought determination coefficient (k) as a indicator of water availability and applied it for supplementing the risk level criteria in the Drought Crisis Response Manual. The results showed that it would be difficult to set the water level limit during the flood period in the situation of little water supply for flood control in agricultural reservoirs. Therefore, it is necessary to operate the reservoir management regulations after measures such as securing additional storage water are established in the future.

  • The paper is basically attempted to reveal the factor price equalization(FPE) on Korea, United States, and Japan by the ARDL-bounds testing. Wage-rental ratio and relative commodity prices between Korea, United States, and Japan are analyzed by employing equality and convergence frameworks. Empirical evidences are shown that necessary and sufficient conditions for the FPE seems to be easily satisfied in a small country such as Korea rather than large ones as like United States and Japan. And, the FPE is more easily achieved by a nominal term rather than the real term. Due to the fact that an error correction term in the Error Correction Model is insignificant, direct mobility of labor and capital between the countries is not that effective to a short run adjustment. It implies that the FPE is in general going through a long run path. It also has to be mentioned that a trade policy has to selectively implemented depending on the weight of trading volumes and it has to be build up by a long run basis.
