  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine whether the cranial vertebral angle (CVA) and the range of motion (ROM) was different between participants with a forward head posture (FHP), with or without pain. Methods: Forty-four participants who had FHP participated in this study. The FHP was assessed digitally by measuring a lateral view the CVA for each subject. A cervical ROM device measured the cervical ROM. The volunteers were allocated to either, with pain (n = 22), or without pain (n = 22) groups, and pain was evaluated using the Numeric Pain Rating Scale. Results: The FHP in the pain group showed a significant difference in the CVA, and the cervical ROM in both flexion and extension, compared with those in the FHP without pain group (p < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis indicated that the occurrence of cervical area pain was higher amongst subjects who had a decreased CVA and flexion motion. Conclusion: This study suggested that decreased CVA and cervical flexion range, were predictive factors for the occurrence of pain in the cervical region.

  • The focus of the research is to determine the amount of financial information disclosure and the factors that influence it for non-financial enterprises listed on Vietnam's stock exchange. To evaluate the level of financial information disclosure, the study uses a set of disclosure indexes from the world's leading credit rating agency, Standard and Poor's (S&P). It makes some revisions in compliance with regulations for information disclosure on the Vietnam stock market. The study collects data in the form of annual reports for the year 2017-2020 from 350 non-financial firms listed on Vietnam's stock exchange and then uses a multivariate regression model to assess the effects of factors on the amount of financial information disclosure. The findings show that the size of the firm, the size of the board of directors, and foreign ownership all have a positive impact on financial transparency; however, the number of years the company has a negative impact. According to the findings of this study, companies with more total assets, a larger board of directors, and a higher rate of foreign ownership publish more financial information. Still, long-term listed companies on the stock exchange tend to disclose less.

  • Purpose - The primary objective of this paper is to empirically examine whether the engagement of socially responsible activities in corporations affect the tendency of tax-avoidance by using the sample of Korean companies. We are particularly interested in Chaebol-affiliated firms, which are a special type of Korean conglomerates. Design/methodology/approach - This study is based on a sample of 5,496 firm-year observation data from 2011 to 2017 by using the ESG ratings from the Korea Corporate Governance Service(KCGS), a ESG rating agency in Korea. For our analysis, the firms were separated into 1,547 Chaebol-affiliated firms and other 3,949 firms. All financial and firm data were extracted from Fn-guide, which provides financial information for Korean listed firms. Findings - We find that CSR is generally positively related to the effective tax rate, which indicates a lower level of tax avoidance for more socially responsible firms. In particular, a positive relationship of social score with GAAP ETR was observed. Research implications or Originality - We find that the positive relationship is robust to the group of chaebol and non-chaebol affiliates unlike extant literature.

  • The Federal Communications Commission voted to repeal net neutrality protections on December 14, 2017. This is the very opposite decision of the net neutrality rule that the Obama administration has consistently maintained. The ensuing storm from the repeal of net neutrality protections has an extensively effect enough on individuals and businesses to cover the entire spectrum, and the impact is hard to assess in the U. S. content industry, which dominates the worldwide Internet content and platform market. On the other hand, Korea's net neutrality protections have been firmly pursued, and there is no sign of change even after the decision happened in the U. S. Net neutrality is not a simple theme that is associated with the Constitution, such as freedom of expression, as well as the issue of network enhancement to prepare for 5G. Accordingly, this study examines how the net neutrality has been carried out in the U. S. and Korea over the years, and provides the issues of Internet enhancement, perspectives of ISP and ICP, and implications for the Constitution, market economy, fair competition and zero rating. This research delivers future direction and implications of domestic net neutrality policies.

  • The aim of this paper is to extend the TOPSIS(Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) to the fuzzy environment for solving the disaster recovery priority decision problem in credit bureau business information system. In this paper, the rating of each information systems and the weight of each criterion are described by linguistic terms which can be expressed in trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Then, a vertex method is proposed to calculate the distance between two trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. According to the concept of the TOPSIS, a closeness coefficient is defined to determine the ranking order of all information systems. The combination between the fuzzy set and TOPSIS brings several benefits when compared with other approaches, such that the fuzzy TOPSIS require few fuzzy judgements to parameterization, which contributes to the agility of the decision process, it does not limit the number of alternatives simultaneously evaluated, and it does not cause the ranking reversal problem when a new alternative is included in the evaluation process. This paper is demonstrated with a real case study of a credit rating agency involving 9 evaluation criteria and 9 credit bureau business information systems assessed by 6 evaluators, and provide the systematic disaster recovery framework for BCP(Business Continuity Planning) to practitioner. Finally, this paper show that the procedure of the proposed fuzzy TOPSIS method is well suited as a decision-making tool for the disaster recovery priority decision problem in credit bureau business information system.

  • We have studied a combiner that can withstand high power while minimizing insertion loss in high frequency band. In particularly, because the output power that can be output per unit elements is much lower in the Ku band and above than in the low frequency band, it is necessary to combine many semiconductor elements in order to make a high power SSPA. A planar combiner such as a microstrip, as the number of elements to be combined increases, the insertion loss increases proportionally, resulting in a reduction in the overall system efficiency and an increase heating value also. The planar combiner also have some problems due to the low power handling rate. To improve these problems, we proposed a Cavity Radial Combiner. A Ku band 16-way Cavity Radial Combiner was fabricated and measured. As a result, it was tested 14dB return loss and over 94.5 % output combining efficiency in design band.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out how to use emotional activity rate in sentence. The aim is to estimate the Emotion-Codon status of emotion-DNA wiggling as well as the sequence of codons in which amino acids of human body are spread. It is as if the amino acids are translated from the DNA of the human body, and the emotions that cooperate with each other are diversified and refined. Through these attempts, we anticipate the change of emotions by literary works and present the direction of the synapse working and the direction of the encoding. Therefore, this study analyzed the emotional activity of Rated Emotion-Codon, which works as Rated Sijo. At this time, the emotional change in the human body, in which the sentence is more clearly pronounced, is predicted and detected. This result shows how emotions can activate the human body. This state of activation is an indicator of how much the sentence pushes the physiological action of the human body. It is judged that Codon is constructed precisely for the activation of the rated Sijo additive definition by this index. Our result is evidenced by the fact that three sentences of Rated Sijo show an array with the same rating as the Rated Codon's, The first sentence fuses with the sentiment between the second sentence and the third sentence of Rated Sijo. The emotional symbols between the sentence symbols "A, U, J, L" in the first base of the Codon table and the sentences fusing between the sentences of the first sentence and the third sentence are "A, U, J, L". The emotional symbols between the sentences flowing in the second base of the Codon table and between the sentences of the first sentence and the second sentence are structured in the third base of the Codon table as "A, U, J, L". The Rated Sijo, which is resiliently and precisely assigned to the human body's Rated Emotion-Codon, will require a rich experience in our Rated Life.

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop and test the validity and reliability of the Korean version of the Pre-Menstrual Coping Measure (PMCM-K). Methods: Translation of the PMCM-K was validated using forward-backward translation methods. The study was conducted as a cross-sectional survey from March 7 to April 30, 2016 and the data from a total of 362 young adult women were used for the final analysis. The content validity, construct validity and criterion-related validity were evaluated. The internal consistency was calculated to assess the reliability. Results: The PMCM-K consisted of five factors: premenstrual coping regarding avoiding harm, awareness and acceptance of premenstrual change, self-care, communicating, and adjusting energy, which all explained 62.0% of the total variance in PMCM-K. The total score of the PMCM-K showed a positive correlation with the shortened premenstrual assessment form (r=.50). The Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient was .94 for the overall instrument and .77-.93 for five factors. Conclusion: PMCM-K provides a valid and reliable scale for quantifying the ways of coping specific to a negative premenstrual change for Korean young adult women. The PMCM-K will play an important role as a way to gain a sense of agency in coping with premenstrual changes.
