In polysaccharide fermentation with Aureobasidium pullulans, the aeration effects on the production of polysaccharide and the rheological properties of fermentation broth were studied. The increase of the aeration rates from 0.5 to 2.0vvm at 500 rpm yielded the maximum specific production rate of polysaccharide from 0.046 to $0.093 (hr^{-1})$, and the maximum specific growth rate of cells from 0.168 to $0.192 (hr^{-1})$. The viscosity behavior of fermentation broths at the different aeration rates followed the power-law ${\tau}= K({\gamma})^n$. The viscosity attributed by cells was about 10% of the total viscosity of fermentation broth and most of viscosity was attributed by the polysaccharide produced. The relationship between power-law parameters and the concentration of polysaccharide generally satisfied the etㄴrations with the regression coefficient greater than 0.980, $lnK(t)= ln({\tau})_o-n(t)\;ln({\gamma})_o\;and\;K(t)=A P(t)^B$.

Missile and target closing velocity is used in the proportional navigation(PN) missile guidance loop. But it is difficult to estimate the closing velocity when passive seeker is used and only the Line-of-Sight(LOS) rate is available in the guidance loop. In this study, new closing velocity estimation method is developed. This method uses LOS rate measurement only and uses some characteristics of PN guidance law. The Lyapunov method is used to analyze the stability of the developed estimation method.

In Korea, the elderly support has been accomplished by the families in the extended family system with the influence of the transmigration and the confucianism thought. But in Korea the drastic changes of society such as, the growth of the elderly pollution, the urbanization, the decrease of the birth rate, the increase of the working women, the growth of the nuclear families, etc., make the family difficult to take care of the elderly. Therefore, some people insist on the construction of the elderly home as the way to solve the elderly problems and some of corporations including profit-organizations are ready to participate the construction of the elderly home. They force the change of the current social security law because it is impossible to carry out the plans uncer the law. At this point, the conditions of the elderly home in Japan which is geographically close to Korea and has facillicated the elderly home business were examined at the consumer perspectives. The purpose of this study were to consider the possible problems in the elderly home and to prevent from happening another elderly problems in the future.

Non-proportional loading tests of Nylon 66 at room temperature exhibit path dependent behavior and plasticity-relaxation interactions. The uniaxial formulation of the viscoplasticity theory based on overstress (VBO), which has been used to reproduce the nonlinear strain rate sensitivity, relaxation, significant recovery and cyclic softening behaviors of Nylon 66, is extended to three-dimensions to predict the response in strain-controlled, comer-path tests. VBO consists of a flow law that is easily written for either the stress or the strain as the independent variable. The flow law depends on the overstress, the difference between the stress and the equilibrium stress that is a state variable in VBO. The evolution law of the equilibrium stress in turn contains two additional state variables, the kinematic stress and the isotropic stress. The simulations show that the constitutive model is competent at modeling the deformation behavior of Nylon 66 and other solid polymers.

Government tries to revise the article 25 in Korea Maritime Transport Act which describes subject of coastal carriage for exported-imported container cargoes. The subject of coastal carriage will be replaced coastal carrier by ocean liner carrier according to the revised article 25. By adopting the revised article, coastal shipping industry will be deteriorated in terms of returns on investment, sales and etc. Even though the revision is inevitable to harmonize the flow of exported-imported container cargo movement, coastal shipping industry should be developed and restructured to get competitive power and to set up an efficient international logistics system. To enhance competitive power of coastal shipping companies successfully, government must realize the importance of coastal shipping, and aid the industry through various methods such as arrangement of law and regulation, indirected financial assistance, decrease of tax rate, etc.

Attitude control law design for spacecraft large angle maneuvers is investigated in this paper. The feedback linearization technique is applied to the design of a nonlinear tracking control law. The output function to be tracked is the quaternion attitude parameter. The designed control law turns out to be a combination of attitude and attitude rate tracking commands. The attitude-only output function, therefore, leads to a stable closed-loop system following the given reference trajectory. The principal advantage of the proposed method is that it is relatively easy to produce reference trajectories and associated controller.

Recently the renewable energy has been used widely and the importance of renewable sources is bigger than before. So the government enforced a law to the public buildings to install the renewable energy facilities. The capacity of facilities is 5% of total construction cost until April 13, 2011. Since then, the government changed the law from 5% of total construction cost to 10% of predicted energy usage because of the practical use of the renewable energy facilities. So, in this study, the comparative analysis is conducted according to the law to the building installed PV system through the EnergyPlus simulation.

Due to a recently developed approach to autopilot controller design for highly-maneuvering BTT (bank-to-turn) missiles, we now can derive explicitly the final-phase optimal guidance (OG) law considering the autopilot dynamics through direct use of the well-known linear optimal control theory. The proposed OG law can decrease the miss distance (MD) remarkably with small acceleration and roll rate profile at the time of interception.

R-curve based on the size effect law previously developed for geometrically similar specimens (geometry type III) is extended to geometries with variable depth (geometry type I) as well as with variable notch (geometry type II), where the R-curve is defined as the envelope of the family of critical strain energy release rates from specimens of different sizes. The results show that the extended R-curve for type I tends to be the same for different specimen configurations, while it is greatly dependent on specimen geometry in terms of the initial crack length. Furthermore, the predicted load-deflection responses from the suggested R-curve are found to agree well with the testing results on concrete and rock materials. Besides, maximum loads for type II specimen are predicted well from the extended R-curve.

The purpose of this study is to contribute to solution of the defect dispute in apartment house in advance. We want to propose the improved devices in defect problems by investigating the money that exacted from the practical business of the inspection company and the money that a judge gave a decision in a civil court in 50 cases of the lawsuit to requesting the guarantee against defects and the improved schemes of the applied rate by analyzing the diagnosis money of each applied years about the term of warranty liability in 40 cases of the lawsuit separately from that. As the result, we have to reflect the defect of non construction and error construction on apartment building defects, which recognizes very important factor when we compute the defect repair warranty money and it needs to be rearranged the applied ratio in guarantee peried of housing law practically.
