  • This paper studied what kind of foods were served how often in the table of the Royal family birthday parties by analyzing 18 sets of the Royal family birthday party menu with respect to the rank of Royal family for each season respectively among all the kinds of food menu of Chosun Dynasty. From this sudy a good representation of primary Royal King's birthday menu could be drown. The menu of the King was most in variety. And the King was served in the range of 46 to 74 kinds of food and its number of dishes varied 28 to 40, and the other royal family were served in the range of 19 to 44 kinds of foods and its number of dishes varied 15 to 26. The menu included variable dishes such as Yoomilkwa (fried cookies 油蜜果) 7, Gangjung 17 (fried rice cookies 姜?) 17, Dasik (mold cookies 茶食) 8, Suksilkwa (cooked fruits 熟實果) 1, Jungkwa (compoted fruit 正果) 1, Byung (rice cakes 餠) 25, Umchung (punch 飮淸) 4, Sengka (fresh fruits 生果) 21, Jusik (main meal 主食) 4, Chanpum (side dishes 饌品) 27, Jomipum (sauce, honey, mustard 調味品 ) 3.

  • The recent seismic events that occurred in South Korea have increased the interest in the re-evaluation of the seismic capacity of nuclear power plant (NPP) equipment, which is often conservatively estimated. To date, various approaches-including the Bayesian method proposed by the United States (US) Electric Power Research Institute -have been developed to quantify the seismic capacity of NPP equipment. Among these, the Bayesian approach has advantages in accounting for both prior knowledge and new information to update the probabilistic distribution of seismic capacity. However, data availability and region-specific issues exist in applying this Bayesian approach to Korean NPP equipment. Therefore, this paper proposes to construct an earthquake experience database by combining available earthquake records at Korean NPP sites and the general location of equipment within NPPs. Also, for the better representation of the seismic demand of Korean earthquake datasets, which have distinct seismic characteristics from those of the US at a high-frequency range, a broadband frequency range optimization is suggested. The proposed data construction and seismic demand optimization method for seismic capacity re-evaluation are demonstrated and tested on a 480 V motor control center of a South Korea NPP.

  • The goal of Ambient Intelligence (AmI) is to build a smart environment for users where they are supported in some of their activities by many interaction mechanisms. The diversity of AmI characteristics requires special support from Operating Systems (OSes). In this paper, in order to support a conscious choice of an operating system for any specific AmI application, features requested by AmI systems were characterized and defined considering various applications. Then, characteristics of existing Operating Systems have been investigated in the context of AmI application support to relate their key characteristics to the typical requirements of AmI systems. Qualitative mapping table between AmI characteristics and as features has been proposed with an illustration of how to use it. As no as completely covers the range of characteristics required by AmI systems, challenging issues are summarized for the development of a new as and a product line of OSes.

  • The aim of this research is designing road lighting installations(arrangement, mounting height spacing and overhang) which produce a certain level and distribution of luminance together with minimal glare. These can be varied over a limited range for a given luminance and road surface to achieve the required installation performance. In Korea there are no code of practice which lays down recommended performance criteria (Lavg, Uo, Ul, G, TI) with practical design guidance on how to achieve them. In case study design rules and current installation of road lighting in daegu city are analysed. The core of research are suggesting a new performance criteria and providing a set of table giving the maximum lognitudinal spacing between successive luminaires. The result of this research prescribes the combination of height and spacing for various road widths and arrangements which will achieve a specified minimum performance on straigt roads for particular luminaire and a particular road surf-ace.

  • parameters in surface grinding. Taguchi method which is one of the design of experiments has been introduced in achieving the aims. The process parameters were the grain size, the wheel speed, the depth of cut and the table speed. The effect of the process parameters on the geometric error was examined and an optimal set of the parameters was selected to minimize the geometric error within the controllable range of the used grinding machine. The reliability of the results was evaluated by the ANOVA.

  • The range of disorders of old age that are thought potentially amenable to drug therapy is increasing. However, factors such as the growing costs of drug development and prescription, the novel pharmacological profile and enhanced potency of many new compounds, and the concerns that the elderly may have enhanced susceptibility to toxicity all make drug usage in the elderly patient an increasingly specialized topic. This is compounded by the high incidence of multiple disorders in frail elderly patients, and consequently the possibility of the long term use of several drugs, thus, adding the risk of drug interactions. Thus, clinical pharmacology in the elderly requires understanding of pharmacologic characteristic determinants of the physiological changes (Table 1) associated with aging in terms of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics.

  • As environmental vibration requirements on precision equipment become more stringent. use of pneumatic isolators has become more popular and their performance is subsequently required to be further improved. Dynamic performance of passive pneumatic isolators is related to various design parameters in a complicated manner and, hence, is very limited especially in low frequency range by volume of chambers. In this study, an active control technique, so called time delay control which is considered to be adequate for a low frequency or nonlinear system, is applied to a single chamber pneumatic isolator. The procedure of applying the time delay control law to the pneumatic isolator is presented and its effectiveness in enhancement of transmissibility performance is shown based on simulation and experiment. Comparison between passive and active pneumatic isolators is also presented.

  • In this study, a surface generating system with a bundle of wires, which can reproduce a certain range of surface roughness of the objects without direct machining process, is implemented. The system consists of a bundle of wires, a PZT actuator, a vertical table system actuated linearly along two perpendicular axes, and an image processing system. Through the development of the operational software for all of those subsystems by a common language(Visual C++) of the implemented system, the complete process except arrangement of a bundle of wires are automated. Lastly, through the experiments of generating the flat surface of some virtual object and then of measuring the reproduced surface roughness, it is confirmed that the implemented system has excellent performance.

  • We tried to find any factor to reduce the exposure dose with ST-VA type generator which has the higher exposure dose. The guideline recommended by the provisions of IAEA regulation is being used at the time of radiation exposure and almost of those equipments used for this study had less amount of doses than those in the guideline. The FCR may be possible to decrease a certain amount of dose with effective applications of it's automatic image compensation utilities and the verifying function in PACS. Next time, it is required to add a great number of hospitals for wide range of studios and measurements, and make standard exposure Control table which will bing in practice, material decrease of dose volumes when radiation exposure.

  • An improved mechanistic model was developed to predict a convective boiling critical heat flux (CHF) in the vertical round tubes with uniform heat fluxes. The CHF formula for subcooled and low quality boiling was derived from the local conservation equations of mass, energy and momentum, together with appropriate constitutive relations. The model is characterized by the momentum balance equation to determine the limiting transverse interchange of mass flux crossing the interface of wall bubbly layer and core by taking account of the convective shear effect due to the frictional drag on the wall-attached bubbles. Comparison between the present model predictions and experimental CHF data from several sources shows good agreement over a wide range of How conditions. The present model shows comparable prediction accuracy with the CHF look-up table of Groeneveld et al. Also the model correctly accounts for the effects of flow variables as well as geometry parameters.
