광범위 출력 측정이 가능한 레이저 계측장치 개발 (Development of the laser measurement system for the wide output power range)

  • 넓은 출력 범위의 $CO_2$ 및 Nd:YAG 레이저광 출력측정 및 교정을 위해 정밀한 칼로리미터를 제작하고 성능의 정가에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 칼로리미터의 수광부는 금 코팅된 구리재질의 공동을 사용하여 제작되었다. 교정용 히터는 망가닌으로 제작되고, 출력 측정은 망가닌과 구리의 저항 브릿지를 사용하여 측정하였다. 교정 인자는 100W에서 489.13 J/mV이고 500W에서 497.04J/mV이다 Nd:YAG Laser를 이용하여 보정 계수를 구한 결과 100W일 때는 0.99이고 500W일 때는 1.006으로 레이저 에너지와 전기적 교정의 차이는 $1\%$이하이다.

Assessment of the Implementation of a Neutron Measurement System During the Commissioning of the Jordan Research and Training Reactor

  • The Jordan Research and Training Reactor (JRTR) is the first research reactor in Jordan, the commissioning of which is ongoing. The reactor is a 5-MWth, open-pool type, light-water-moderated, and cooled reactor with a heavy water reflector system. The neutron measurement system (NMS) applied to the JRTR employs a wide-range fission chamber that can cover from source range to power range. A high-sensitivity boron trifluoride counter was added to obtain more accurate measurements of the neutron signals and to calibrate the log power signals; the NMS has a major role in the entire commissioning stage. However, few case studies exist concerning the application of the NMS to a research reactor. This study introduces the features of the NMS and the boron trifluoride counter in the JRTR and shares valuable experiences from lessons learned from the system installation to its early commissioning. In particular, the background noise relative to the signal-to-noise ratio and the NMS signal interlock are elaborated. The results of the count rates with the neutron source and the effects of the discriminator threshold are summarized.

  • As the elderly population increases, the number of patients with various joint diseases, including degenerative arthritis, is steadily increasing. CPM medical devices are needed to effectively treat degenerative arthritis that is common in the elderly population. Domestic CPM medical devices have limited functions and are highly dependent on imports for expensive imported medical devices. To solve this problem, we designed a ROM measurement function using a current sensor that is not present in existing composite joint CPM medical devices. The algorithm was designed using the fact that the force caused by joint stiffness greatly increases the current flowing through the DC motor. In addition, the need for digital healthcare in the medical field is gradually expanding as the proportion of chronically ill patients increases due to the spread of the non-face-to-face economy due to COVID-19 and the aging population. Therefore, this paper aims to improve the performance of CPM medical devices by allowing real-time confirmation of rehabilitation exercise information and operation range measurement results in accordance with digital healthcare trends through a Bluetooth application developed as an Android studio.

GIS를 이용한 연속지적도 오류검증 방안 (A Study on the Error Detection of Attached Cadastral Maps using GIS)

  • This study proposed a procedure to improve the error defection of attached cadastral maps using digital map data. In addition, this study also provided the direction for the accuracy improvement of attached cadastral maps by comparing analysis methods. - such as centroid, Lee Sallee shape index, and area index. The analysis is performed as follows. First, by using centroid measurement, the center point of cadastral maps and attached cadastral maps are compared. Secondly by using Lee Sallee shape measurement, the location accuracy of range area is investigated. Thirdly, by using area measurement, the range area within allowable error scope is verified. Based on analysis, the discrepancy between cadastral maps and the attacked cadastral maps are detected as follows; 98.2% from Lee Sallee shape index, 41.8% from centroid, 15.4% from area index in the whole error.

거리 영상 측정 오차의 기하학적 분석 (A geometric analysis of range measurement error)

  • 삼각측량의 원리를 이용하 거리 탐색기를 사용하여 거리 영상을 취득하는 경우에 발생하는 측정오차를 직관적으로 이해할 수 있도록 기하학적 방법으로 분석하였다. 그 결과로 추정 오차는 카메라에서 물체까지의 거리에 비례하는 것을 보였다. 또한 카메라 초점과 물체를 지나는 직선이 광원과 물체를 연결하는 직선과 직각인 경우 측정값이 가장 정밀한 것을 보였다. 또한 이 결과가 해석학의 기법을 사용하여 분석한 결과와 일치함을 보였고 실험을 통하여 이를 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과는 동일한 카메라가 광원을 사용한 경우에도 카메라의 방향과 물체까지의 거리를 변화시켜서 측정 정밀도를 향상시킬 수 있다는 것을 보인다.

  • Recently, as a result of the application of large and multi-blade propellers with high efficiency for large vessels, the vertical bending stiffness of propulsion shafting system tends to be declined. For some specific vessels, the shaft arrangement leads to the forward stern tube bearing to be omitted, decreasing vertical bending stiffness. In this respect, decreased vertical bending stiffness causes the problem which is the blade order resonance frequency to be placed within the operational rpm range of propulsion shafting system. To verify whirling vibration, the measurement should be carried out covering from operating rpm up to target rpm, however, the range is un-measurable generally. In order to resolve the measurement issue, this study shows the measuring method and the assessment method of relevant natural frequency of whiling vibration by using measured harmonic order component of whirling vibration.

  • We investigated a uniform temperature zone, produced by double flame structure of a coflow CH4/air partially premixed flame, to be used as a temperature calibration source for laser diagnostics. A broadband N2 CARS(coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy) system with a modeless laser was used for temperature measurement. When the stoichiometric ratio was 1.5, we found the uniform temperature zone in radial direction of the flame of which the averaged temperature was 2110 K with standard deviation 24 K. In the stoichiometric ratio range between 2.0 and 2.5, we found very stable temperature-varying zones in vertical direction at the center of the flame. The size of the zone was approximately 15 mm and it covered a temperature range from 300 K to 1900 K. We also suggest that this zone can be used as a calibration source for 2-D PLIF(planar laser induced flurescence) temperature measurement.

  • A single mode fiber-optic Mach-Zehnder interferometer for the measurement of strain is described. A fiber-optic strain gauge with great resolution and wide measurement range is realized. In order to varify the dynamic response, the measurements of strain below 1涅 with frequency range 5-50Hz are compared with a semiconductor strain gauge. We report theoretical evaluation for mechanical analysis, PZT-plate, the phase change in a fiber-optic strain gauge and a semiconductor strain gauge. The dynamical characteristics of a fiber-optic strain gauge and a semiconductor strain gauge output siganl show equivalent behavior. This result is shown in very good usage as the dynamical measurement of the low strain below 1涅 by this system.

반송파 정보를 이용한 GPS/DR 통합 방법 (A GPS/DR Integration Scheme using Carrier Measurements)

  • In conventional GPS/DR integration schemes, the GPS position (or pseudo-range) information is used in calibrating DR sensors. In those schemes, however, an inaccurate calibration may degrade the position accuracy when the GPS measurement is not available. This paper presents a new integration scheme where the GPS velocity information is used in calibrating DR sensors. Also proposed is a new error model of DR sensors for calibrating the bias error and the tilt error in dynamic environments. The proposed model makes it possible that the errors of both the DR sensor parameters and the velocity are calibrated using the GPS carrier-based velocity(or the pseudo-range rate) measurement while the DR position error is calibrated using the GPS position measurement. Since the DR sensors are calibrated accurately, the positioning accuracy is drastically improved when the GPS measurements are unavailable.

추적 레이더에서 적응형 확장 칼만 필터의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Adaptive Extended Kalman Filter in Tracking Radar)

  • An angle error is a factor obstructing to track accurate position in tracking radars. And the noise incurring the angle error can be divided as follows; thermal noise and glint. In general, Extended Kalman filter used in tracking radars is designed with considering thermal noise only. The Extended Klaman filter uses a fixed measurement error covariance when updating an estimate state by using ahead state and measurement. But, a noise power varies according to the range. Therefore we purposes the adaptive Kalman filter which changes the measurement noise covariance according to the range. In this paper, we compare the performance of the Extended Kalman filter and the proposed adaptive Kalman filter by considering KSLV-I (Korean Satellite Launch Vehicles).
