  • As for the baseline measurement using geodetic GPS receiver, this paper puts forth the effective measurement range of a low-priced GPS system receiving Ll frequency only. Compared with the data of baseline eliminated the ionospheric effects with L1/L2 frequencies, the results with Ll frequency approximate to those with dual frequency within the range of 15 km (the baseline discrepancy of the two methods is less than 2 cm). The results with Ll frequency are better within the range of 18 km. Based upon the analysis of data, we find that the convergence limit of integer ambiguity-applicable to double difference fixed solution- is about 18 km and the ionospheric effects have a great influence on the results when the baseline are longer than 20 km. This study also presents a standard which makes it possible to select the favorable data from the results of the GPS relative distance measurements.

  • The correct estimation of the ionospheric delays is very important for the precise kinematic positioning especially in case of the long baseline. In case of triple frequency system, the ionospheric delays can be estimated from the measurements, but, in case of dual frequency system, the situation is not so simple. The precision of those supplied by the external information source such as IONEX is not sufficient. The high frequency component is neglected, and the precision of the low frequency component is not sufficient for the long baseline positioning. On the other hand, the high frequency component can be estimated from the phase range measurements. If the low frequency components are estimated by using the external information source or pseudo range measurements, a more reasonable estimation of the ionospheric delays may be possible. It has already been discussed by the author that the estimation of the low frequency components by using the external information source is not sufficient but fairly effective. The estimation using the pseudo range measurements is discussed in the present paper. The accuracy is not sufficient at present because of the errors in the pseudo range measurements. It is clarified that the bias errors in the pseudo range measurements are responsible for the poor accuracy of the ionospheric delays. However, if the accuracy of the pseudo range measurements is improved in future, the method would become very promising.

  • Recently, the potential of advanced studies is being highlighted that the networking activity of entrepreneurs of venture businesses influences successful foundation. Given this background, this study intends to make an exploratory study on the influence of self-efficacy of the entrepreneur's cognitive characteristic and patience with ambiguity of the psychological characteristic upon networking activity, and the components of networking activity upon entrepreneurial performance. It was tested with sample of responses to the questionnaires for 156 entrepreneurs of venture businesses which are under 3 years since they were founded. Findings of this study are as follows: First, the entrepreneur's self-efficacy was shown to have a significant effect on networking and entrepreneurial performance. Second, patience with ambiguity was shown not to have a significant effect on networking and entrepreneurial performance. Third, networking was shown to have an effect on entrepreneurial performance, and among the components of networking activity, network frequency and reliability were shown to significantly influence entrepreneurial performance, while network range was shown not to have a significant effect on it. Therefore, for performance improvement of start-up enterprises, rather self-efficacy of the entrepreneur's cognitive characteristic than the psychological characteristic seems more important. Also, with a practical suggestion that for the networking activity of entrepreneurs of venture businesses, network frequency and reliability may have a more critical effect rather on entrepreneurial performance than network range, the limitation and direction of this study are presented.

  • As the demand of high accuracy positioning for dynamic users increases, Network RTK is actively researched for dynamic users. Network RTK is a system which provides precise positioning in the range of about 50 to 70km radius using carrier phase measurements from several reference stations. By configuring multiple clusters, which provide Network RTK corrections independently, as a single system, it could provide precise positioning for a wider area. In this paper, we have studied how to efficiently operate multiple clusters in the Korean Peninsula. We analyzed the computational load according to the configuration of a multi-cluster system and proposed a method of selecting the main reference station and system infrastructure configuration for efficient operation. In order to analyze the effects of each proposed method, 71 clusters were constructed using the reference stations of the National Geographic Information Institute and simulations were conducted. As a result of the simulation, system computation amount was reduced by 66 % and system configuration cost was reduced by 90 %.

  • This study aims to investigate the effect that local government's information release range on Covid-19 patients' contact trace on consumer sentiment in the region. One hundred twenty-eight residents of Gangnam-gu and Seocho-gu participated in the study. The results showed that when ambiguity of information increased perceived anxiety on Covid-19 patients' contact trace, which in turn led lower intention to visit the commercial district near the Covid-19 patients' contact trace. Based on the findings, several suggestions was proposed for future research, including longitudinal studies covering even the "long-term" changes in consumer sentiment, the effect of implicit anxiety, and the behavioral difference between residence and non-residence.

  • The present study investigated Korean learners' knowledge on the range of possible interpretations of English locative PPs with manner of motion verbs, and considers whether learners can arrive at a superset L2 grammar on the basis of positive L2 input. Unlike Korean, some English locative PPs occurring with manner of motion verbs (such as in John jumped on the bed) are ambiguous as they can be interpreted as either directional or locational. Thirty Korean learners of English in three distinct groups (Advanced EFL-only group; Intermediate-EFL-only group; and ESL-experienced group) participated in an experimental study, along with a control group of nine native speakers of English. The results of the study showed that I) Korean learners, overall, tended to interpret English locative PPs as only locational, failing to recognize the ambiguity between the directional and locational readings in the target structure; 2) For the learners who experienced only the EFL context, even highly proficient learners, as well as intermediate level learners, failed to acknowledge the ambiguity; 3) The learners who experienced the ESL context for an extended period of time could identify the target reading to some extent, although they still could not reach the native-like competence. From these results, it is argued that robustness of positive evidence, not simply its availability, is critical in the acquisition of the superset L2 targets like the present one.

  • This paper introduces an approach to an ontology-based multi-level knowledge framework for a knowledge management system for discrete-product development. Participants in a product life cycle want to share comprehensive product knowledge without any ambiguity and heterogeneity. However, previous knowledge management approaches are limited in providing those aspects: therefore, we suggest an ontology-based multi-level knowledge framework (OBMKF). The bottom level, the axiom, specifies the semantics of concepts and relations of knowledge so ambiguity can be alleviated. The middle level is a product development knowledge map; it defines the concepts and the relations of the product domain knowledge and guides the engineer to process their engineering decisions. The middle level is then classified further into more detailed levels, such as generic product level, specific product level, product version level, and manufactured item level, according to the various viewpoints. The top level is specialized knowledge for a specific domain that gives the solution of a specific task or problem. It is classified into three knowledge types: expert knowledge, engineering function knowledge, and data-analysis-based knowledge. This proposed framework is based on ontology to accommodate a comprehensive range of knowledge and is represented with first-order logic to maintain a uniform representation.

  • In recent years, the need of high accuracy navigation for vehicles has increased due to the development of autonomous driving vehicles and increase in land transportation convenience. This study is performed for vehicle users to achieve a performance of centimeter-level positioning accuracy by utilizing Compact Network Real-time Kinematic (RTK) that is applicable as a national-level infrastructure. To this end, medium-baseline RTK was implemented in real time to estimate accurate integer ambiguities between reference stations for reliable generation of Network RTK correction using the linear combination of carrier-phase observations and L1/L2 pseudo-range measurements. The residual tropospheric error was estimated in real time to improve the accuracy of double-differenced integer ambiguity resolution between network configuration reference stations that have at least 30 km or longer baseline distance. In addition, C++ based software was developed to enable real-time generation and broadcasting of Compact Network RTK correction information by utilizing an accurately estimated double-differenced integer ambiguity values. As a result, the horizontal and vertical 95% accuracy was 2.5cm and 5.2cm, respectively, without performance degradation due to user's position change within the network.
