We evaluated the phenetic relationships within six taxa of genus Oxalis L. in Korea with random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers. Ten primers produced 125 bands for six taxa, and the mean number of bands per primer was 12.5. Across the six taxa, 121 (96.8%) bands were polymorphic, and only four were monomorphic. The mean number of RAPD phenotypes across the six taxa varied from 3.6 (O. stricta and O. corymbosa) to 4.8 (O. corniculata for. rubrifolia). In a simple measure of intraspecies variability according to the percentage of polymorphic bands, O. stricta and O. corymbosa exhibited the lowest variation (28.8%), and O. corniculata for. rubrifolia showed the highest (38.4%). A mean of 32.7% of the loci was polymorphic within taxa. The total interspecies genetic diversity ($H_T$) and intraspecies genetic diversity ($H_S$) was 0.362 and 0.122, respectively. On a per-locus basis, the proportion of total genetic variation due to differences among species ($G_{ST}$) was 0.663. This indicates that about 66.3% of the total variation was among species. The node of O. stricta and O. corniculata for. rubrifolia was strongly supported, with a high bootstrap value in the NJ tree and sistered with O. corniculata. According to RAPD analysis, the number of chromosomes was not congruent with a phenetic relationship.
The experiment was designed to compare the char combustion kinetics of pulverized Indonesia coals commonly utilized in Korea power plants. The reaction rate of coal char has been formulated using the external and internal effectiveness factors to describe the diffusion effect quantitatively. The Random Pore Model (RPM) was used for applying internal specific surface area as a function of carbon conversion ratio. Reaction rate was obtained from reaction time using the Wire Heating Reactor (WHR) which can heat and measure the char particle temperature at the same time. BET and TGA were used to obtain physical properties such as internal specific surface area and structural parameter. Three kinds of Indonesia Sub-bituminous coals "BARAMULTI, ENERGYMAN, AGM" were used in order to derive the activation energy and pre-exponential factor. The results of this study showed that the effect of internal diffusion than that of external diffusion is the dominant as comparison of kinetics was reflected in external and internal effectiveness factors. For three kinds of coal char, finally, activation energy of intrinsic kinetics indicates 110~118 kJ/mol.

It is important to measure the Arctic surface air temperature because it plays a key-role in the exchange of energy between the ocean, sea ice, and the atmosphere. Although in-situ observations provide accurate measurements of air temperature, they are spatially limited to show the distribution of Arctic surface air temperature. In this study, we proposed machine learning-based models to estimate the Arctic surface air temperature in summer based on buoy data and Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer 2 (AMSR2)satellite data. Two machine learning approaches-random forest (RF) and support vector machine (SVM)-were used to estimate the air temperature twice a day according to AMSR2 observation time. Both RF and SVM showed $R^2$ of 0.84-0.88 and RMSE of $1.31-1.53^{\circ}C$. The results were compared to the surface air temperature and spatial distribution of the ERA-Interim reanalysis data from the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). They tended to underestimate the Barents Sea, the Kara Sea, and the Baffin Bay region where no IABP buoy observations exist. This study showed both possibility and limitations of the empirical estimation of Arctic surface temperature using AMSR2 data.

This study examines the relationship between gender diversity (women on the board and women on the audit committee) and a firm's financial stability. The ordinary least square analysis was used to determine the relationship. To measure the financial stability of Malaysian suspect firms, i.e., firms with the lowest positive earnings, the Altman (1993) Z-Score measurement was utilized. The results indicate that women on the board are significantly and negatively associated with the firm's financial stability. That is, they are related to low financial stability, which contradicts the agency and resource dependence theories. Regarding women directors on the audit committee, there is no significant relationship with financial stability, meaning that they cannot protect the company against financial distress. These results are robust and do not change when using different measurements of gender diversity, one-year lag of independent variables, and other methods of analysis, namely random effect panel data. This study is the first to alert policymakers, stakeholders, researchers, and society in general to the need to re-evaluate and strengthen the role of women directors in improving firms' financial stability, particularly in emerging economies like Malaysia.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the trunk stabilization exercise in the musical tempo on lumbar lordosis angle, muscle activity and pain. Methods : For the 30 people with lumbar lordosis angle legion and back pain, a random selection was made with MLSE (15) and LSE (15) to measure VAS, lumbar lordosis angle and Muscle Activity. Result : There were significant decreases in intra group comparisons to lumbar lordosis angle were seen in MLSE and LSE groups, and significant decreases in inter group comparisons in MLSE groups. significant decreases in intra group comparisons to VAS were seen in MLSE and LSE groups, and significant decreases in inter group comparisons in MLSE groups. Significant intra-group comparison of muscle activity, MLSE groups increases were rectus obdominis(right/left) and erector spinae muscle(right/left), LSE groups increases were erector spinae muscle(right/left), and significant increases in inter group comparisons rectus obdominis(right) and erector spinae muscle(left) in MLSE groups Conclusion : Based on the above findings, a program to restore the lumbar lordosis angle, and increase muscle strength should be developed at by applying the combine existing trunk stabilization physical therapy technique and musical tempo.
Dental professions recommend that mandibular impacted third molar be extracted for the prevention of osteomyelities crneoplasm or for the treatment of halitosis. Even the possibility of emergence of unexpected halitosis after the preventive extraction exists, there are few studies describing the unexpected halitosis. This study intended to measure the emergence of halitosis after extraction of mandibular impacted third molar. Thirty-eight patients who visited Daejin Medical Center participated in this study. Halitosis was objectively measured using Halimeter in 3 intervals-before, after I day, after 7 days. Third factors, scaling and gender, which may influence the halitosis were analyzed with stratification. This study finds that in general halitosis decreased after 1 day but increased after 7 days. Scaling was helpful in decreasing halitosis and women have less severe halitosis than men. The effects of time interval(p<0.05), gender(p=0.836), and scaling(p=0.7929) on the severity of halitosis were not statistically significant. However, since this study's patients are neither a representative sample nor a random sample, all data interpretation was focused on clinical significance instead of conventional statistical significance. Clinical significance of this study's findings are: 1) scaling should be conducted in advance, 2) men should be notified of the higher possibility of halitosis.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of aromatherapy massage on abdominal fat and body image in post-menopausal women. Method: A Non-equivalent control group pre-post test Quasi-experimental design of random assignment was applied. All subjects received one hour of whole body massage as treatment by the same researcher every week for 6 weeks. Participants also massaged their own abdomen two times everyday for 5 days each week for 6 weeks, The two groups used different kinds of oil. The experimental group used 3% grapefruit oil, cypress and three other kinds of oil. The control group used grapeseed oil. Data was collected before and after the treatment using Siemens Somatom Sensation 4, a tape measure and MBSRQ. Data was analyzed by ANCOVA using the SPSS/PC+Win 12 Version. Result: Abdominal subcutaneous fat and waist circumference in the experimental group significantly decreased after aromathetapy massage compared to the control group. Body image in the experimental group was significantly better after aromathetapy massage than in the control group. Conclusion: These results suggest that Aromatheapy massage could be utilized as an effective intervention to reduce abdominal subcutaneous fat, waist circumference, and to improve body image in post-menopausal women.

There are several types of image registration in the sense of stitching separated images that overlap each other. One of these is feature-based registration by a common feature descriptor. In this study, we generate a mosaic of images using feature-based registration for drone aerial images. As a feature descriptor, we apply the scale-invariant feature transform descriptor. In order to investigate the authenticity of the feature points and to have the mapping function, we employ the sample consensus method; we consider the sensed image's inherent characteristic such as the geometric congruence between the feature points of the images to propose a novel hypothesis estimation of the mapping function of the stitching via some optimally chosen initial candidate inliers in the sample consensus method. Based on the experimental results, we show the efficiency of the proposed method compared with benchmark methodologies of random sampling consensus method (RANSAC); the well-ordering property defined in the context and the extensive stitching examples have supported the utility. Moreover, the sample consensus scheme proposed in this study is uncomplicated and robust, and some fatal miss stitching by RANSAC is remarkably reduced in the measure of the pixel difference.
A growing body of evidence shows that most psychological traits are polygenic, that is they involve the action of many genes with small effects. However, the study of selection has disproportionately been on one or a few genes and their associated sweep signals (rapid and large changes in frequency). If our goal is to study the evolution of psychological variables, such as intelligence, we need a model that explains the evolution of phenotypes governed by many common genetic variants. This study illustrates simple statistical tools to detect signals of recent polygenic selection: a) ANOVA can be used to reveal significant deviation from random distribution of allele frequencies across racial groups. b) Principal component analysis can be used as a tool for finding a factor that represents the strength of recent selection on a phenotype and the underlying genetic variation. c) Method of correlated vectors: the correlation between genetic frequencies and the average phenotypes of different populations is computed; then, the resulting correlation coefficients are correlated with the corresponding alleles' genome-wide significance. This provides a measure of how selection acted on genes with higher signal to noise ratio. Another related test is that alleles with large frequency differences between populations should have a higher genome-wide significance value than alleles with small frequency differences. This paper fruitfully employs these tools and shows that common genetic variants exhibit subtle frequency shifts and that these shifts predict phenotypic differences across populations.

One of the pending issues of the Ministry of Defense is the efficient management of space parts for the weapon systems. It has been known that more than 000 million dollars are needed for spare parts for the weapon systems annually. Though the problem demands a serious consideration, there has not been any systematic study on the problem as far as the author knows. One way to approach the problem is through an investigation of the system reliability under constraints. A measure of how well a system performs or meets its design objectives is provided by the concept of system reliability. If successful operation is desired for a specified period of time, reliability is defined as the probability that the system will perform satisfactorily for the required time period. This interpretation of reliability is normally applied to devices which are subject to random failures such as electrical or mechanical systems. It has been found necessary to express system reliability in terms of the reliability of the components or subsystems which comprise the system. The major subsystems of an aircraft, for example, include the electronics, powerplant, airframe and armament subsystems. Therefore, the optimal spare part kit can be found by maximizing the system reliability subject to cost or other constraints.
