  • In this paper, we design a mutual authentication protocol which divided sessions from an authenticated session are updated periodically. And in order to minimize the traffic overhead for session authentication, we also introduce dynamic session management according to sampling rate of medical sensor type. And randomize the divided session time. This model has the effect of blocking the integrity and confidentiality intrusion of rogue gateway. Moreover, efficiency is provided through medical data to be transmitted have different sampling rate. In order to evaluate this model, it was embodied and experimented in TinyOS 2.1 environment. The result, we got an overall validity from three types of experiment.

  • This study investigated how cognitive style and training context influenced visual discrimination skill acquisition and transfer under time pressure. This experiment consisted of a screening session, a training session, and a transfer session using random polygon comparison tasks. Screening session was designed to separate participants according to their cognitive style (analytic or holistic). Training session was divided into difficult and easy conditions. In transfer session, participants compared polygon pairs in a novel task. The stimuli were presented for 1.5 seconds to examine the influence of time pressure. Through the all sessions, this experiment measured accuracy and response time. According to the results of this study, analytic group responded as quickly as holistic group in the beginning of training session because time pressure induced them to the holistic strategy. However, as training session progressed, their slopes of reaction time increased, suggesting that their own analytic style emerged. Holistic group showed flatter slopes than did analytic group for training session. Of interest is the slopes increased at the beginning of transfer session, suggesting that they developed analytic strategies in difficult training context. It is suggested individuals differently develop strategic processing skills depending on cognitive styles even under time pressure.

The subjects, who were from age 15 to 19 as juvenile delinquents, received juvenile protection Order one (1) and three (3) or Order (4) and were placed in custody designated by the Gwang Ju Family Court. The 24 subjects were divided into the experimental group (N=12), and the control group (N=12) at random. The experimental group was given 14 group music therapy session for 90 minutes each, two times a week, and the control group was not given any. Emotional stabilisation and the Self-Efficacy scores for each adolescent was compared before and after the experiment. Statistical methods used for data analysis were mean, the standard deviation, and the ANCOVA. Results are as follows. The experimental group was significantly increased in emotional stabilisation compared with the control group. The experimental group was significantly decreased in aggressive behavior compared and in stress compared with the control group. The experimental group was significantly increased in self-efficacy compared, in self-confidence compared and in self control efficacy compared with the control group. These results suggest that group music therapy are positive effects on improving the emotional stabilisation and the Self-Efficacy of juvenile delinquents.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of treadmill exercise on the posture and walking speed of chronic stroke survivors with an ankle-foot orthosis. Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: Twenty-four chronic persons with chronic stroke admitted to Bobath Memorial Hospital in Seongnam city were divided into two groups by random blind method. Treadmill exercise with an elastic ankle-foot orthosis was performed in the experimental group and treadmill exercise was performed in the control group. The experiment was carried out for 6 weeks, and the experiment was carried out three times a week for 20 minutes per session. To measure the effect, static balance was measured using the MTD system before and after training, and the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) was used to measure functional balance. Results: There was a statistically significant difference between the 2 groups in the BBS measurement results for confirming the functional balance (p<0.05). Also, there was a significant difference between the 2 groups in single limb support time, step time and step length (p<0.05). Conclusions: In this study, it was found that treadmill exercise with an elastic ankle-foot orthosis in persons with chronic stroke was effective in maintaining functional balance, walking ability, step length, and step time. Therefore, it is necessary to use a flexible ankle-foot orthosis with proper treadmill exercise as a method of improving balance and walking speed of chronic stroke survivors.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of social skill training on the class cohesiveness of Elementary School students. The experimental group received 12 times of the social skills training for 6 week period. And each training session which lasted for 40 minutes took place twice a week. A total of 59 5th grade students in randomly selected two classes of D Elementary School in N. Gyongsang participated in this study. They were divided into the two groups, again at random; an experimental group(N=30, Male=18, Female=12) and a control group(N=29, Male=15, Female=14). In this study, the class cohesiveness performance test reorganized into 20 items for the level of elementary students by Shin-suk Gang, was applied, after complemented. And, the collected data were analysed through SPSS 14.0. T-test was applied to find out the difference of the average between the experimental group and the control group and the average difference in the pre-and post-test of the experimental group alone, and to see whether the control group and the experimental group are homogeneous. The research design of this study is pre-and post-test control group design. The result of this study is as follows: The result of Independent t-test and Paried t-test on the cohesiveness score and sub-factor scores tells us that the experimental group which received the social skills training showed better achievement that deserves our attention compared to the control group. This result suggests that student's class cohesiveness(class atmosphere, mutual trust, morale, a sense of unity, communication) is positively affected by the social skill training. Accordingly, social skill training which develops class cohesiveness can be an effective strategy for elementary school students to make them more intimate and cooperative with their classmates.
