The ground vibration which is induced by train leads defect and crack of neighborhood structure. Consequently, in order to reduce the train vibration, it is need to appropriate countermeasure. Wave-guide typed roadbed induce the train vibration to a channel wave forms using the difference of the track layer's stiffness. Therefore train vibration is restrictively attenuated along the longitudinal direction of the track. 5 kind of wave-guide typed roadbed structure is selected in this paper. A finite element, time history, linear spectrum, transfer function and damping ratio analysis are performed to evaluate the vibration reduction efficiency as the wave-guide roadbed.

Nine different types of the reinforced railroad roadbeds which . are located in between Suwon-Chunan station of Kyongbu line were constructed in order to increase the bearing capacity of railroad roadbed and to improve the ridability as a part of speed-up project of conventional railroad systems. Each three sections were composed of weathered granite soil, crushed stone and furnace slag(HMS25), and fully instrumented with earth pressure cells, settlement plates and geophones to monitor the behavior of roadbeds under actual train loads. Field measurement has continued since October 31, 2000 and presently with rather longer measurement interval. The measurement data such as settlement, earth pressure and vibration levels are currently under analysis process. In this paper, only cumulative measurement data of railroad roadbeds were introduced. In the near future, comprehensive measurement data and result of analysis will be presented and design technique for the reinforced railroad roadbed will be proposed as a final product of this study.
When the high-speed train running on the track, there is a speed limit which track distortion is unusually increased according to condition of track and roadbed. This speed limit is called critical velocity, and physical parameter value increased very greatly. These phenomenon happened as high-speed train were developed, studied regularly through TGV 100 running test in France. As research result until now, the main reason is soft roadbed's capacity. Wave propagation and track support capacity is varied by the site characteristics. This paper achieved theoretical examination about resonance band(speed and frequency) that occurred in roadbed on the base rock in point of geotechnical engineering. The examination of resonance divides with ground response analysis, critical band analysis by the shear wave velocity of roadbed, train critical speed through the ground stratum.
The Gangneung region has an environment suitable for the formation of organic soil, and there is an alluvial layer in which sedimentary sand layers are distributed on the upper and lower parts of the organic soil. In order to evaluate the seismic safety of the railway roadbed passing through the Gangneung area, a railway roadbed and ground model considering the similarity ratio was fabricated, a shaking table test was conducted, and the seismic stability was evaluated by comparing the effective stress analysis results. The applied seismic waves were artificial seismic waves, Gyeongju seismic waves, Borah seismic waves, Nahanni seismic waves, and Tabas seismic waves. It became. Due to the ground reinforcement effect by jet grouting applied to the lower ground of the new roadbed, the displacement of the new roadbed was found to be reduced from a minimum of 33.7% to a maximum of 56.7% compared to the existing roadbed. The shaking table test results were verified by effective stress analysis using the Finn model of the Flac program, and showed a similar trend to the shaking table test values.
The track systems installed in Korea railway consist of two types on ballasted track or ballastless track. In this study, it was compared with difference of the behaviors at roadbed with cyclic loading through full scale model test. From the results of model tests, loading distribution ratio of the concrete slab track become more widely distributed than ballasted track, and loading distribution ratio at concrete track was about 30:20:15. The concrete slab track is likely to behavior of the rigid plate, while ballasted track is such as flexible pavement. The vertical stresses of upper roadbed with traffic cyclic loading in concrete track were measured about 30 kPa or less. It was a scene very similar to the results of the field train running test. The vertical stress at concrete track was occurred approximately 4 times smaller than ballasted track. Also, the soil velocities with cyclic loading at the slab track were occurred about 0.3 cm/sec or less, its 8 times smaller than ballasted track.

In this study, geotextiles was applied on the selected track-bed, which is relatively economical and efficient way to prevent the problem of mud-pumping and settlement. Field testing sections from Mock-haeng to Dong-ryang in the Chung-buk lines in Korea were selected to investigate the state of track and roadbed. And three places were chosen among 1,700 spots where mud-pumping was frequently occurred and maintenance required. At the curved section with radius of 500m between Mock-haeng and Dong-ryang, we divided this testing site into 5 section and 4 different types of geotextile were installed and left the last section with no reinforcement. Total length of the test site was 200m and individual length of each site was 40 m. In order to understand the state and the strength of prepared roadbed, stiffness and physical properties of the roadbed soil were evaluated and analyzed. Also, after the installation, mud-pumping, settlement of elastic or plastic sleeper, failure of track, wheel-loads, lateral force and earth pressures were investigated.
In this study, numerical analysis and model experiments were conducted to analyze behavioral characteristics acting on the track roadbed with excavation through steel pipe injection, a non-exclusive method of crossing construction under railroad as primary target. In model experiments that simulate injection excavation behaviors with an increase in the depth of soil cover, the upper displacement was measured by construction of the first and the second pipes in order to predict actual behaviors, and the behavior characteristics were verified through numerical analysis. The investigation results showed that surface displacement was smaller under the condition of higher soil cover. In the case of injecting two pipes, when the first pipe was injected, deformation of the surface increased linearly in both settlement and uplift experiments. However, when the second pipe was injected, the amount of change was found to be very small due to the relaxation and plastic zones around the first pipe. In addition, the results of numerical analysis on the same cross section with the model experiment found that the results of investigation into settlement ratio and volume loss were in very good agreement with those obtained by the model experiment.

The introduction of BIM in domestic construction industry has become more active. Library development and standardization in civil-engineering are unexhausted. This research develop and standardize prototype library for railway infrastructure. We define target facility for library based on railway standard drawings and select BIM software according characteristic of each facility. In this research, we develop libraries composed of 199 files and 489 types for alignment, roadbed and track and make specifications as defined attribution item and description. As we consider for application to diverse use case, develop prototype library in low LoD. We expect that library can increase 3D design productivity and ensure consistency of quality.
An active application of concrete track is being expected for the future construction of Korean railroad. For the successful concrete track construction and design in earthwork areas, the residual settlement should be reasonably estimated using the proper method. The concrete track is extremely vulnerable to the damage of residual settlement. However, at the transition areas such as bridge approach, differential settlement will likely occur due to difference of stiffness, poor drainage and poor ground treatment. The maintenance is very difficult for excessive settlement on existing line, it is need to constrain the residual settlement in step of design. In this paper, it is performed the analysis of the residual settlement measured data, test results and reference to understand the residual settlement behavior of concrete track roadbed
