  • While the environment of usage of information and technology is getting stable and technology is being developed more deeply due to the globalization, making information, standardization, in order to make a fast response to the new industry strategy and business environment, mutual communication and management of correct and fast information are focused on as fundamental elements of keeping competitive power. Accordingly strategic development of urban transit operation organization, storage of information technology of urban railroad, and buildup of standard information infra are very important, so that computerized information system has been built up standardizing efficient maintenance framework of urban transit facilities. To maintain these facilities efficiently, storing the real-time information by standardizing the maintenance organization and building up computerized information system are very important with management of information history of existing maintenance work. Therefore, for the efficient maintenance of station facilities among urban transit facilities, standardized facilities classification and definition of management elements, and the plan of designing and building standardized database about station facilities through standardizing technology resources are described in, this paper.

5678 서울도시철도 지하역사의 라돈 관리 현황 (Current Status of Radon Management in the 5678 Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Subway)

  • Underground Subway station's air pollutants are introduced from the indoor or outdoor. And Radon is a major pollutant in the subway station. Radioactive substances Radon is occuring naturally in granite tunnel wall and underground water. Especially inert gas Radon that causes lung cancer in human is anywhere but 5678 S.M.R.T. tunnels deep and pass through the granite plaque have a lot of Radon. The Radon concentration is determined by the following reasons : radon content of soil and concrete, underground water, ventilation, pressure difference, building structure, temperature, etc. So Radon concentration is hard to predict. And we can't only ventilate owing to era of high oil prices. This study focuses on our efforts for the reduction of Radon concentration. And the purpose is to provide basically datas of specially managed 15 subway station's Radon concentration.

도시철도역 시설의 피난에 대한 제도적 한계점 분석과 가이드라인 (Analysis of Institutional Limitations on Evacuation of Urban Railway Station Facilities and Guidelines)

  • 본 연구는 도시철도 지하역의 '피난' 및 '소방'에 관련한 제도적 현황을 분석하여 현행 도시철도 지하역에서의 '피난'에 대한 제도적 한계점을 도출하여 이를 바탕으로 건축공간적 측면에서의 가이드라인을 제안하고자 하였다. 연구의 결과 다음과 같은 점이 도출되었다. 첫째, 유사 기준이 개별법령에 분리 제정되어 기준 파악이 어렵고 서로 이원화되어 있기 때문에, 도시철도에 한정하여 도시철도 이용객의 이동 동선에 따라 머무는 공간을 표준화하여 규정할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 열차 이용을 위해서는 반드시 '티켓팅' 이라는 특수한 절차를 고려해야 하며 대합실과 승강장 사이에 피난안전구역, 피난계단에 대한 규정이 필요하다. 마지막으로 지하 30m이상 깊이의 대심도에서 승강장이 있는 경우, 현행 건축법과 유사한 기준에 따라 피난층을 설치하도록 할 필요가 있다.

  • This paper deals with the estimation methods of ground-borne noise generated by subway. Generally, numerical method using by ground model is used to prediction of ground borne noise. However, this method is needed a lots of time to make an analysis and model. In this paper, we describe empirical formula that is based on experimental data for subway and estimate the ground-borne noise propagated from underground station that is builded in the near future to building.

1960년대 청주 도심경관고 -도심 복원모델의 제작을 통하여- (A Study on Cheongju Townscape in the 1960s through the Restoration Model)

  • This study examines the 1960s' townscape through the small-scale restoration model in Seongan-dong and Jungang-dong, Cheongju, one of the historical cities in South Korea. In the 1960s, Jungang-dong actively was developed outside the north gate of Cheongju castle, and Cheongju's townscape was changed by the relocation of railway station and construction of city hall. In the streetscape, the new roads, the east-west Sajik-ro and north-south Sangdang-ro were opened instead of old railroads, and they clarified the typical grid road system with the existing Seongan-ro, which connected north and south gate of the old castle. In the buildingscape, city hall was built in front of the railway station outside the north gate of old castle, and had a great effect on the existing buildings and facilities. The public, educational, and commercial buildings had been replaced by reinforced concrete, and the cement brick & block public housing were distributed widely. But the existing dwelling areas, located in the inside of old castle and outside south gate, showed the low and dense townscape, sustaining the former streets and building types.

일제강점기 수원의 도시공간구조에 관한 연구 (A Study on Spatial Structures of Suwon in the Japanese Colonial Period)

  • After opening Suwon railway station in 1905, a new road was constructed between Suwon station and Paldalmun(the South gate). It was the starting point to change urban structures of Suwon and shape the new city scape. In 1914, administrative districts of Suwon were reorganized. Suwon-myeon (township, a subdivision of Suwon-gun) was promoted to Suwon-eup(town) in 1931. Suwon-eup expanded its territory and changed the address system from 'li(里)' system to Japanese address system, 'Jeong(町)' in 1936. From 1920s, road system was changed and transformed Suwon's urban structures. A straight road was built from Jongro intersection to Janganmun(the north gate) in 1928. Another straight road was constructed between Suwon station to Padamun in the early 1930s. Public office buildings used the Hwa Seong HaengGung(華城行宮) and some of building moved to new location with new buildings. Main buildings of most schools in Suwon were reconstructed since 1930s. Commercial buildings and stores were sprung up and had their own characteristics by region. Around Suwon station, there are more hotels and restaurants than other areas. Rearranging administrative areas, developing road system and new buildings transformed Suwon's spatial structures. Constructing new roads formed a straight road passing through Suwon. After reorganizing administrative areas, this road turned to be the central axis of Suwon. Buildings in new style on the axis made the modern cityscape in Suwon.

HOT-SMOKE TESTS IN TWO UNDERGROUND RAILWAY STATIONS WITH MOVING TRAINS

  • Hot-smoke testing in Australia has progressed to the stage where there is an Australian Standard for these tests. The purpose of such tests is twofold: firstly they can validate computer modeling predictions for smoke movement, and secondly they can demonstrate that the smoke control systems and associated fire safety systems function satisfactorily. Hot-smoke tests were carried out in March 1997 at two of Sydney's underground railway stations, namely St James and Museum. The purpose of the tests was to demonstrate that the smoke control systems performed their functions as intended. Tests were carried out in the concourses and on the platforms, and trains ran during the tests so that the effect of moving trains on smoke movement could be observed. A total of five tests were carried out and video recordings were taken of each. This is the first time that hot-smoke tests have been carried out in an underground station with trains running. The paper discusses some of the interesting observations and the problems identified by the tests.

  • Since 2003, state transportation study core technology development is being promoted as part of the bimodal trams operating in accordance with the development of refractive vehicle as research infrastructure for building high-tech road transport system has been the research and development. Bimodal trams of refraction as the vehicle for him to introduce domestic first ever operation management system also developed in Korea according to case-based technology system, but most of the country, and, in this study, mainly those based on technology integration building management system and the bimodal trams of refraction of a vehicle operated was to highlight the features and benefits. Bimodal tram station itself is the way the exclusive properties and to operate the route with large transport capacity has the characteristics of the railway, but the only routes such as railroad lines is not of closed roads under certain circumstances, the flexibility to use has to be integrated operations management system of bimodal trams characteristics of the railroads and public transportation by combining the characteristics of a flexible, convenient and secure services to users with the aim of providing research and will denote the system developed. In this study, bimodal integration system required for the operation of the tram station around the wired and wireless network management center, applying the organic integration into one system so that you have to be centrally managed. In addition, the existing traffic management system operates as a unidirectional rather than monitoring all system-wide management via the interactive network through real-time requests and responses were configured to allow management and control. These findings of the existing traffic operation management system that you can jump step can be based on future unmanned vehicles and related systems through control of the operation management system will be offered as a basis.

  • The railroad station building is a public facility that many people use. The disabled persons cannot move as freely as the ordinary persons do, so the facility shall be considered on this matter. We reviewed on the features of the retarded, visually handicapped and mentally retarded persons upon moving, and calculated the minimum space required in their move, access and use of the reachable space, and we also analyzed the design factors so that the prior guidance can be considered for the visually handicapped such as installation of guidance facility, change of finishing material and Braille points block handrail to avoid obstacles for the use of senses of touch, hearing and remained eyesight of the visually handicapped. In addition, we also analyzed the requests of general design totally to analyze and arrange the design factors with the thought that the facility for the handicapped shall be useful for the ordinary people as well as the handicapped.

  • By the countermeasure which is caused by with railroad station ground settlement it applied a CGS in each independent foundation. The effectiveness of the ground improvement and the bearing capacity of the compaction pile has been verified by the Cone Penetration Test(CPT) and Load Test. Test result show that penetration resistance and the cone friction force increased a lot and settlement 13.475mm as the standard settlement 40.0mm appeared at below. Also uniaxial compression test result $278kg/cm^2$ as the standard $150kg/cm^2$ appeared far a lot.
