  • Medical radiography is a field of forensic science and helps analyze the cause of death. Therefore, we will analyze the awareness and interest in forensic medicine among students in the Department of Radiologic technology in Daegu and Gyeongbuk who are being trained as prospective radiographers, and discuss related education at universities. The study targeted 195 students in the Department of Radiological technology in Daegu and Gyeongbuk. The satisfaction level of the Department of Radiological technology was high at 3.88 ± 0.820. The awareness level of forensic medicine was low at 2.30 ± 0.905 points, and the interest level in forensic medicine was 2.71 ± 0.958 points. In addition, the reason for learning about forensic medicine was mostly through 'movie and TV' with 63 people (32.3%), and 'YouTube' with 60 people (30.8%). The awareness of forensic radiology, which matches the research subjects' major, was lower at 66 (33.8%) than the 115 (59.0%) forensic medicine in the multiple responses. As shown in the results of this study, the subjects are highly satisfied with the department of Radiologic technology, but their awareness of forensic radiology, which matches their major, is low. Their awareness of forensic medicine, which is the basis of forensic radiology, is also low, and they come into contact with forensic medicine through movie, TV, and YouTube, which have low expertise. In other words, it is not helpful in training professionals, and it is far from the direction of future radiographers. Therefore, forensic medicine needs to be introduced to the regular curriculum to train professional radiographers, and in cases where curriculum reform is difficult, special lectures composed of experts are necessary. It is necessary to analyze the actual needs of the Daegu and Gyeongbuk medical community, and the necessity of forensic radiology education should also be analyzed. It is hoped that this study will be helpful as basic data for the reform of Radiologic techonology department curriculum.

  • Due to the development of advanced technology, a lot of digital radiographic equipment has been developed, which is very helpful for accurate diagnosis and treatment, and it is very important to train personnel who have acquired professional knowledge in order to use it safely and effectively. Students are exposed to the risk of radiation exposure in radiography training using diagnostic X-ray equipment, and some educational institutions do not use X-ray equipment due to management difficulties in accordance with the Nuclear Safety Act. As a solution to this, this study developed a medical radiation simulator for education that does not generate radiation by using a vision sensor and self-developed software. Through this, educational institutions can reduce the burden of administrative implementation according to the law, and students can obtain a high level of educational effects in a healthy practice environment without radiation exposure.

  • The purposes of this study are to analyze abnormal dilatation of the extrahepatic bile ducts by using transabdominal ultrasound, to confirm the existence of bile ducts diseases and their interrelationship, and for it to give a new theoretical basis for the technical access to extrahepatic bile ducts, upon which to analyze the ripple effects of the scan training. After teaching technical access process based on the new theory about extrahepatic bile duct to the thirty students who are studying ultrasonography, we allocated three hours per one student (30 mins ${\times}$ 6 times) to focus on the training of scanning skill. Training has been performed by one-to-one method. For evaluation, all the students have to perform the scans on (1) confluence of the right and left hepatic ducts (extrahepatic bile ducts and cystic duct), (2) the suprapancreatic bile duct, (3) the intrapancreatic bile duct, (4) intrapapilla Duct, based on the clearly divided concept. The existing training and methods have had low confidency about transabdominal ultrasonography of the extrahepatic bile duct and had limitation with which they could image only the suprapancreatic bile duct. The evaluation after finishing the train based on the new theory, however, all the students (30students) can access to (1) confluence of the right and left hepatic ducts(extrahepatic bile ducts and cystic duct), (2) the suprapancreatic bile duct objectively. 24 students can access to (3) the intrapancreatic bile duct and only one student can even make an image for (4) the intrapapilla Duct Though the evaluation on extrahepatic bile duct has to be performed with multi-sided method considering intrahepatic cause, bile duct cause and pathophysiological cause, only if we can image the extrahepatic bile duct to ampular of Vater objectively and confidently, we can greatly reduce invasive procedure such as ERCP, which is for the purpose of simple differential diagnosis and painful to the patients. Therefore if we concentrate on the scanning train based on the new theory to raise the confidency about ultrasonography, the effect will be doubled.

  • Due to the development of the domestic economy and science, the people's standard of living has increased. Accordingly, we want to improve the quality of life. In other words, we guarantee human rights and pursue dignity and value as human beings. Therefore, the medical field extends human life and helps maintain a healthy life. The social medicine that protects human rights is forensic medicine. Forensic medicine identifies deaths and analyzes the cause using forensic radiology images. Forensic radiology is the acquisition and provision of medical images by the radiographer. Therefore, the radiographer must have expertise by completing forensic science-related courses. Recently, medical and nursing schools have opened and operated various subjects such as forensic medicine and forensic nursing. However, the Department of Radiology science is the only school that offers courses related to forensic science. For the future development and exploration of the radiographer and department of radiology science, forensic education should be considered. For this purpose, we investigated the necessity and demand for forensic education in the department of radiology science undergraduate and graduate schools. The department of radiology science students' awareness of forensic science was found to be 2.977 points, but the need for forensic science education for the radiographer was high at 3.759 points. In addition, current students' demand for forensic science courses was high at 84.1%, with the majority responding that it was necessary to open and operate the course. This study was able to determine the demand for forensic science-related subjects among the department of radiology science undergraduate and graduate students, and there is a need to explore diversity and expertise in education. We hope that it will be used as basic data for the development of forensic medicine and radiology science.
