Identification of White Hanwoo Breed Using Single Nucleotide Polymorphism Markers (단일염기다형성 마커를 이용한 백우 품종 식별 방법)

  • This study was conducted to develop specific Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) markers to identify the genetic characteristics and breed of White Hanwoo (WH) using a molecular biological method. SNP genotyping was performed with an Illumina Bovine HD 777K SNP chip using DNA extracted from 48 Hanwoo and 22 WH. The minor allele frequency (MAF) difference of each SNP was calculated and the statistical significance (P-value) of the MAF difference was calculated through Fisher's Exact test (Genotype). SNPs with 100% difference in the MAF difference were selected based on marker selection criteria. The nine SNP markers with genetic differences were selected. The selected markers have different alleles as being Hanwoo- and WH- specific. Therefore, based on these results, it can be concluded that the Hanwoo and WH varieties can be clearly distinguished by using these SNPs. So, the patent of the WH breed identification markers was registered. WH is a breed that shows the characteristics of a Korean native species that is separate from the native Hanwoo. It is expected that genetic characteristics research on the WH can be used to identify the breed and as a knowledge base for enhancing the value of breeding stock.

Analysis of Uncertainty in Ocean Color Products by Water Vapor Vertical Profile (수증기 연직 분포에 의한 GOCI-II 해색 산출물 오차 분석)

  • In ocean color remote sensing, atmospheric correction is a vital process for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of ocean color products. Furthermore, in recent years, the remote sensing community has intensified its requirements for understanding errors in satellite data. Accordingly, research is currently addressing errors in remote sensing reflectance (Rrs) resulting from inaccuracies in meteorological variables (total ozone, pressure, wind field, and total precipitable water) used as auxiliary data for atmospheric correction. However, there has been no investigation into the error in Rrs caused by the variability of the water vapor profile, despite it being a recognized error source. In this study, we used the Second Simulation of a Satellite Signal Vector version 2.1 simulation to compute errors in water vapor transmittance arising from variations in the water vapor profile within the GOCI-II observation area. Subsequently, we conducted an analysis of the associated errors in ocean color products. The observed water vapor profile not only exhibited a complex shape but also showed significant variations near the surface, leading to differences of up to 0.007 compared to the US standard 62 water vapor profile used in the GOCI-II atmospheric correction. The resulting variation in water vapor transmittance led to a difference in aerosol reflectance estimation, consequently introducing errors in Rrs across all GOCI-II bands. However, the error of Rrs in the 412-555 nm due to the difference in the water vapor profile band was found to be below 2%, which is lower than the required accuracy. Also, similar errors were shown in other ocean color products such as chlorophyll-a concentration, colored dissolved organic matter, and total suspended matter concentration. The results of this study indicate that the variability in water vapor profiles has minimal impact on the accuracy of atmospheric correction and ocean color products. Therefore, improving the accuracy of the input data related to the water vapor column concentration is even more critical for enhancing the accuracy of ocean color products in terms of water vapor absorption correction.

Modulation Scheme for Network-coded Bi-directional Relaying over an Asymmetric Channel (양방향 비대칭 채널에서 네트워크 부호화를 위한 변조 방식)

  • In this paper, we propose a modulation scheme for a network-coded bi-directional relaying (NBR) system over an asymmetric channel, which means that the qualities of the relay channel (the link between the BS and RS) and access channel (the link between the RS and MS) are not identical. The proposed scheme employs a dual constellation in such a way that the RS broadcasts the network-coded symbols modulated by two different constellations to the MS and BS over two consecutive transmission intervals. We derive an upper bound on the average bit error rate (BER) of the proposed scheme, and compare it with the hybrid constellation-based modulation scheme proposed for the asymmetric bi-directional link. Furthermore, we investigate the channel utilization of the existing bi-directional relaying schemes as well as the NBR system with the proposed dual constellation diversity-based modulation (DCD). From our simulation results, we show that the DCD gives better average BER performance about 3.5~4dB when $E_b/N_0$ is equal to $10^{-2}$, while maintaining the same spectral efficiency as the existing NBR schemes over the asymmetric bi-directional relaying channel.

마이크로캅셀화에 의한 조절방출제제 개발 I: 유드라짓 마이크로캅셀화에 의한 $\beta$-락탐계 항생제의 방출제어

Eudragit RS, RL, E, S 및 L을 이용하여 유중건조법으로 제조한 $\beta$-락탐계 항생제 (Amoxicillin, Cephalexin) 마이크로캅셀 모두가 구상 성형성과 정립성이 양호한 결과를 얻었다. 2. 분리 분산제 (aluminium tristearate)의 양을 고정시켰을 때에는 일정한 입자 분포도를 가지는 마이크로캅셀을 얻을 수 있었고, 양을 증가시켰을 때에는 입자 크기는 작아 졌으며, 용출율은 증가하였다. 3. Eudragit RS 및 S 마이크로캅셀제제로부터의 약물용출은 저조하였고, Eudragit RL 및 L 제제로부터의 약물용출은 양호하였다. 따라서 Eudragit RS/RL 마이크로캅셀제제에서는 Eudragit RL의 양을 증가시킬수록 약물의 용출율이 증가하였으며, Eudragit S/L 마이크로캅셀제제에서는 Eudragit L의 양을 증가시킬수록 약물의 용출율이 증가하였다. 약물방출 실험결과, Amoxicillin 함유Eudragit RS/RL (25/75) 마이크로캅셀, cephalxin함유 Eudragit RS/RL (75/25) 마이크로캅셀 및 Eudragit S/L (75/25) 마이크로캅셀제제는 유용한 제제로 펑가되었다. 또한 수용성 고분자인 polyethylene glycol을 혼합하어 제조하는 것에 의해 방출조절성 마이크로캅셀의 제조가 가능하였다. 유중건조법을 이용하여 본 연구방법으로 저조한 마이크로캅셀제제는 투어횟수를 줄일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 생체에 대해 안전하고 재현성에 확보되는 유용한 제제로 판단된다. 앞으로 연구를 계속 수행하여, 특히 약물의 물리화학적 성질 및 생제내 투어 후의 생물약제학적 펑가를 엄격히 하므로써 안정성이 심히 문제시되는 다용 약물계열에 대한 조절방출성제제의 개발을 기대할 수 있다.은 해리항수의 역수이므로 해리항수가 적을수록 $\beta$ 수용체에 대한 친화력이 큰 약물이다. 시사되었으며, 이 조직에서 또한 5-$HT_2$와 5-$HT_3$ 수용체의 존재를 확인하고 각각의 기능을 분명히 했다.가 수월하게 하였고 메모리를 동적으로 관리할 수 있게 하였다. 또한 기존의 smpl에 디버깅용 함수 및 설비(facility) 제어용 함수를 추가하여 시뮬레이션 프로그램 작성을 용이하게 하였다. 예를 들면 who_server(), who_queue(), pop_Q(), push_Q(), pop_server(), push_server(), we(), wf(), printfct() 같은 함수들이다. 또한 동시에 발생되는 사건들의 순서를 조종하기 위해, 동시에 발생할 수 있는 각각의 사건에 우선순위를 두어 이 우선 순위에 의하여 사건 리스트(event list)에서 자동적으로 사건들의 순서가 결정되도록 확장하였으며, 설비 제어방식에 있어서도 FIFO, LIFO, 우선 순위 방식등을 선택할 수 있도록 확장하였다. Physical Properties Effect of Dry-Heat and Microwave-Cured Acrylic Resins depending on the Irradiation-Induced Changes (유도광선변화에 따른 건식중합과 마이크로파중합 아크릴레진의 물리적 성질영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to research the property change of acrylic resins depending on the induced-beam change and research the improved physical property of dry-heat and microwave-cured dental place acrylic resin in order to develop the acrylic resins with the optimum characteristic. As a result of observing flexural rigidity, hardness and color difference, the dry-heat-cured specimens of Vertex RS and Paladent 20 showed ideal property at 5, 15, and 25 kGy irradiation. The microwave-cured specimens of Vertex RS and Paladent 20 showed ideal property at 5 kGy irradiation. The correlation analysis showed a positive correlation among ARD, flexural rigidity (0 418), E coefficient (0.675) and Barcol hardness (0 588). The radiation cure technology is helpful for relieving the contamination caused by the manufacture of polymer composite. It can significantly contribute to the fusion of ultra violet cure technology and nano technology and the improvement of mechanical property without giving effect to the workability of polymer.

Rooibos Extract Effect on the Seborrheic Scalp Improvement of Middle-Aged Men (루이보스 추출물이 중년 남성의 지루성 두피 개선에 미치는 효과)

  • This study conducted a 4-week clinical trial on 30 males suffering from seborrheic dermatitis and hair loss symptoms to examine the effects of rooibos extract on the seborrheic dermatitis improvement of 30-50 year old middle aged males. The comparison group used shampoo with no rooibos extract while experiment group 1 used shampoo including rooibos extracts, and experiment group 2 used shampoo and scalp enhancer including the rooibos extracts. The results showed that there were no meaningful changes on the scalps of the comparison group while experiment group 2, which used both shampoo and scalp enhancer including rooibos, showed better improvement on seborrheic dermatitis than experiment group 1 which only used shampoo including rooibos. These results imply that shampoo and scalp enhancer including rooibos extracts effectively improve the oil-moisture balance on seborrheic dermatitis and effectively deals with scalp itchiness redness and the color tone of the scalp, suggesting its use in scalp cosmetics that include antioxidation activation elements, which are effective in improving seborrheic dermatitis.

  • Reed-Solomon (RS) codes are the most widely used error correcting codes in digital communications and data storage. Recently, Sudan found algorithm of list decoder for RS codes. List decoder has larger decoding radius than conventional hard-decision decoding algorithms and return more than one candidate polynomial. But, the algorithm includes interpolation and factorization step that demand massive computations. In this paper, an efficient architecture and processing schedule are proposed. The architecture consists of R-MAC, memories, and control unit. The R-MAC computes both of RC and PU steps that are main part of the factorization algorithm. The proposed architecture can achieve higher hardware utilization efficiency (HUE) and throughput by using efficient processing schedule and memory architecture. Also, the architecture can be designed flexibly with scalability for various applications. We design and synthesize our architecture using Dongbu-Anam $0.18{\mu}m$ standard cell library and the maximum clock frequency is 330MHz.

A Hierarchical Preamble Design Technique for Efficient Handover in OFDM-based Multi-hop Relay Systems (OFDM 기반 다중 홉 릴레이시스템에서 효율적인 핸드오버를 위한 계층적 프리앰블 설계 기법)

  • In this paper, a new handover procedure for OFDM-based multi-hop relay systems is proposed to reduce the handover overhead by distinguishing inter-cell handover event from intra-cell handover event at the level of physical layer using a hierarchical design concept of preamble. A Subcell ID concept for identifying RS in a cell is proposed in the design of hierarchical manner, in addition to the existing Cell ID for identifying BS. The decision on either inter-cell handover or intra-cell handover is made by the signal quality measure of CBINR(Carrier of BS to Interference and Noise Ratio) and CRINR(Carrier of RS to Interference and Noise Ratio), provided by the hierarchical preamble. The proposed handover procedure can simplify scanning procedure and skip/simplify network re-entry procedure (capability negotiation, authorization, registration), resulting in a significant reduction of handover overhead.

Propose and Performance Analysis of Turbo Coded New T-DMB System (터보부호화된 새로운 T-DMB 시스템 제안 및 성능 분석)

  • The DAB system was designed to provide CD quality audio and data services for fixed, portable and mobile applications with the required BER below $10^{-4}$. However for the T-DMB system with the video service of MPEG-4 stream, BER should go down $10^{-8}$ by adding FEC blocks which consist of the Reed-Solomon (RS) encoder/decoder and convolutional interleaver/deinterleaver. In this paper we propose two types of turbo coded T-DMB system without altering the puncturing procedure and puncturing vectors defined in the standard T-DMB system for compatibility. One(Type 1) can replace the existing RS code, convolutional interleaver and RCPC code by a turbo code and the other one (Type 2) can substitute the existing RCPC code by a turbo code. Simulation results show that two new turbo coded systems are able to yield considerable performance gain after just 2 iterations. Type 2 system is better than type 1 but the amount of performance improvement is small.

STA : Sybil Type-aware Robust Recommender System (시빌 유형을 고려한 견고한 추천시스템)

  • With a rapid development of internet, many users these days refer to various recommender sites when buying items, movies, music and more. However, there are malicious users (Sybil) who raise or lower item ratings intentionally in these recommender sites. And as a result, a recommender system (RS) may recommend incomplete or inaccurate results to normal users. We suggest a recommender algorithm to separate ratings generated by users into normal ratings and outlier ratings, and to minimize the effects of malicious users. Specifically, our algorithm first ensures a stable RS against three kinds of attack models (Random attack, Average attack, and Bandwagon attack) which are the main recent security issues in RS. To prove the performance of the method of suggestion, we conducted performance analysis on real world data that we crawled. The performance analysis demonstrated that the suggested method performs well regardless of Sybil size and type when compared to existing algorithms.
