Analysis of Optimal Evacuation Route for Flood Disaster (홍수재난에 대한 최적 대피경로 분석)

  • There is a lot of loss of life due to natural disasters. In particular, flood damage caused by heavy rainfall in urban areas causes serious damage. Therefore, in this study, we conducted a study on the optimal evacuation route for safe evacuation of urban areas. We set up a methodology by reviewing Flo-2D model and A* algorithm. A Flo-2D model was used to derive the hazardous area, and we selected the starting points with many people and suggested ways to select safe evacuation sites. And the route was derived from the starting point to the safe evacuation point by using the A * algorithm. This study could be used not only for evacuation route but also for road maintenance and evacuation facilities.

  • Marine traffics near Ulsan approaching waters are crossing and converged at the diverging point of No.1 route-No.2 route and No.1 route-No.3 route and are also concentrated at near No1. route approaching area and the headland of Gawn-Jel. Because the number of berth will increase to 78 from 49 until 2011 due to additional developments, minor modification is expected for the water utilities. This study examined environmental conditions, marine accidental data, marine traffic capacity, traffic flow survey and fisheries zone status near Ulsan approaching water area.   • Since the wireless sensor networks become pervasive, various application-specific requirement have been emerged and suggested. Among them, reliability and real-time service are ones of big research challenges since sensed information is useless if a packet is lost and delivered later than deadline. Even though many research works have been proposed, they was designed to meet one of both requirements. To solve above problem, in this paper, we propose how to extend current protocol to meet two requirements together. More detailed, Mint Route protocol is revised to meet specific real-time requirement, (m,k)-firm stream in wireless sensor networks. Since the main operations in MintRoute are very similar to definition of (m,k)-firm stream, extension is achieved by modifying some parts of procedure. Finally, the simulation results are given and analyzed to validate the its suitability for reliable and real-time requirement.

  • A wireless ad-hoc network is a temporal network formed by a collection of wireless mobile nodes without the aid of any existing network infrastructure or centralized ad-ministration. Numerous routing protocols have been developed for changing messages among the nodes in a wireless ad-hoc network. Some multi-path routing protocols have also been proposed to support load balancing and QoS for wireless ad-hoc networks. In this paper, we propose not only an efficient routing algorithm for wireless ad-hoc net-worts but also a protocol that can improve data transmission rate and reduce end-to-end delay. In our protocol, each mobile node need not broadcast routing messages periodically and the mobile node that wants to send data packets initiates route request and route establishment procedure. By simulation, we showed that faster route recovery is possible by maintaining multiple routing paths in each node, and the route maintenance overhead can be reduced by limiting the number of multiple routing paths.

  • In this paper, we propose a location based multicast routing protocol, called Geomulticast, in mobile ad-hoc wireless networks. The main features and contributions of the proposed geomulticast are as follows. First, support data transmission to only the specific mobile nodes within a target area. Second, establish stable routing route by using mobility information of nodes. Third, reduce control overhead, power for construction of routing route by using geomulticast guided line information. Fourth, present a theoretical model for establishing stable route. The performance evaluation of the proposed geomulticast is executed by using OPNET simulation and theoretical analysis, and the results of simulation and theoretical analysis have similar patterns. And we can see that data packets are efficiently transmitted to specific user groups within a specific area.

  • The purpose of this study is to implement concept of public to passenger ship route to promote benefits and adopt competition principle among ship companies to elevate business efficiency. As of year 2005, passenger ships operate in 106 routes departing from 10 harbors including Mokpo, Masan, and Inchonto provide transportation system to island residents. Contrast to other public transportation systems excluding some tourism routes, this essential passenger ship are unable to fulfill various customer services to the passengers due to stagnation or declination. In addition, route adjustment and flexible passenger ship operation are not expected due to private property right of the route. Therefore, establishment of public transportation system for remote island route is initiated for the connection between cities and islands, boost travel industry of island economy, and balanced growth oh the nation.

  • When drivers encounter multiple available routes, they may evaluate the utility of each route. Two important factors in the evaluation are travel time and travel cost. Without hewing the current travel time of each route, drivers' decisions are not necessarily optimum. It is called 'transparency issue' that drivers are blinded to choose the optimum route among the others because of the limited travel time information. As a result of this, competing route travel times tend to fluctuate. This case study to utilize the data of Namsan traffic information system confirms that this travel time fluctuation can be lessened as real time traffic information is provided.

  • This paper use virtual running after possible traffic capacity application for optimal route location. General road is designed the design after we examine an alternate adequacy investigation and an execution design sufficiently. Various road user's requirement must be reflected from the beginning. But it is difficult to contain the various suitable design criteria because we consider the existing 2-dimension element. First of all, this study chose optimal route, used traffic assignment and 3D simulation. Then selected optimal route through the consistent road construction by analyzing road driving simulation of 3-dimension data and the urban landscape. possible traffic capacity and virtual running will be able to do the urban landscape analysis harmonizing with the environment; equally, it could be objectively solve the problem of a civil appeal.

Searching a Navigation Path to Avoid Danger Area for Safe Driving (안전운전을 위해 위험지역을 회피하는 내비게이션 경로탐색)

  • The primary function of navigation system is to provide route search and road guidance for safe driving for drivers. However, the existing route search system provides a simple service that looks up the shortest route using a safe driving DB without considering different road characteristics for the safety of the drivers. In order to maintain the safe driving, rather than searching the shortest path, a navigation system, in which the danger areas and/or the dangerous time zones have been considered, is required. Therefore, in this paper we propose a strategy of searching a navigation path to avoid danger areas for safe driving by using the A* algorithm. In the strategy, when evaluating the path-specific fitness of the navigation nodes, different heuristic weights were assigned to different types of risk areas. In particular, we considered three kinds of danger areas, such as accident-prone sections where accidents occur frequently, school zones, and intersection regions, as well as the time slots when the probability of danger is high. From computer simulation, the results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can provide the way to avoid danger areas on the route searching and confirm the possibility of providing the actual service.

Infection Route of Scuticociliates in the Juvenile of the Cultured Flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus (양식넙치, Paralichthys olivaceus 치어의 스쿠티카충 감염경로)

  • The infection characteristics with scuticociliates at on-land rearing farms and hatcheries of flounder, Paralithys olivaceus was investigated during the year of 2001 by juvenile infection routes. When culture tanks for living food organisms such as chlorella, rotifer, and Artemia were searched, scuticocilates were detected both in live and dead rotifer, and at the dregs of culture tank bottoms at almost hatcheries. When rotifer infected with scuticocilates fed on fish larvae, lots of scuticocilate were inhabited at the bottom of fry rearing tanks. After feeding on scuticocilates-infected rotifer on fish larvae, first infection was detected at 10 days after bottom dwelling or 40 days old after hatching. By histopathological examination we confirmed the infection route of eyeball or brain contamination was that the ciliate worms digged through mouth and front part of the dosal fin cuticle, transferred into eyeball along the epithelium and muscle tissue, and reached finally into brain by the muscle and nerve tissue. The infection of internal organs was clarified into two routes. The first route was started from the infection at ventral and anal fin rays by the worms, and reached at the anus and rectum through the epithelium and muscle tissue. The second route was initiated from the infection at urinary organ and reached into the rectum epithelium cells, inner wall of intestine, abdominal cavity, pancreas, kidney, and pancreas. At seed production farms where fish larvae fed on scuticocilate-free rotifer, the worms were not detected not only at the food organisms culture tanks and juvenile rearing tanks but also larval flounder less than 7cm in total length.
