WiMAX 응용을 위한 결합 공진기 기반의 PCB 내장형 평형신호 듀플렉서의 설계 (Design of PCB Embedded Balanced-to-unbalanced WiMax Duplexer Using Coupled LC Resonators)

  • In this paper, PCB embedded balanced-to-unbalamced duplexer using coupled LC resonator was introduced for low cost dualband WiMax front-end-module application. In order to obtain the function of bandpass filter and balun transformer, proposed duplexer was configured by using magnetically coupled LC resonator. Out-of-band suppression was enhanced by applying two m-Derived transform circuits to obtain transmission zeros at 2GHz and 4.8GHz. In order to reduce the size of embedded duplexer, BaSrTiO3 (BST) composite high Dk RCC film was applied to improve the capacitance density. This high Dk film provided the capacitance density of 12.2 pF/mm2. The simulation results shows that fabricated duplexer had an insertion loss of 2.9dB and 5.5dB and return loss of 15dB and 16dB for 2.5GHz~2.6GHz and 3.5GHz~3.6GHz, respectively. The maximum magnitude and phase imbalance were 0.01dB and 0.17dB, and 1degree and 2degree in its passband, respectively. The out-of-band suppression was observed approximately 29dB and 40dB below 1.9GHz and over 4.5GHz, respectively. It has a volume of 6 mm $\times$ 7 mm $\times$ 0.7 mm (height).

화학산업 온실가스($CO_2$) 인벤토리 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Inventories for Greenhouse Gas ($CO_2$) Chemical Industry ; A case of Ulsan City, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 기후변화협약 대응을 위한 울산광역시 사례로 화학 산업의 온실가스 인벤토리 구축 및 공정진단을 통해 온실가스 배출 저감 결과를 나타내었다. 또한 기업체의 기후변화 대응에 대한 방향을 제시하였다. 울산지역은 산업단지 중심으로 석유화학, 자동차, 조선 등 에너지 다소비업체가 많으며, 이산화탄소 배출 저감을 체계적으로 실시 할 경우 국가적 차원에서 이산화탄소 배출량을 상당히 줄일 수 있을 것으로 판단되어 10개 기업체 대상으로 본 연구를 실시하였다. 온실가스 배출량은 최종에너지를 기준으로 산정한 경우 2004년 58,533천 톤 $CO_2$이며, 동일 년도 전국 온실가스 배출량인 592,600천톤 $CO_2$의 약 10%를 차지한다. 향후 2013년부터 한국이 2차 의무감축대상국이 될 경우 1990년도 온실 가스 배출 대비 5.2%의 감축률을 부여 받는다는 가정으로 경제적 손실액을 추정한 결과, 울산시의 경제적 손실은 1조에 가까운 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 울산지역은 최종 에너지소비가 2004년도에 전국 대비 12.5%로 매년 상승하고, 특히 2004년 1인당 최종에너지 소비의 경우 전국 평균은 3.38TOE이며, 울산시는 19.05TOE로 약 6배로 상당히 높게 나타났다. 또한 에너지 소비는 전국적인 규모로 비교하여 볼 때 점진적으로 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다. 2003년의 경우 전국에너지 소비의 12.3%를 점유 하였던 것이 2010년에는 239.18백만 TOE로써 전국에너지 사용량의 14%를 점유 할 것이며, 점차 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 산업부문에서 에너지 사용비율이 80%이상으로 전국대비 에너지사용량이 상대적으로 높은 울산지역에서는 산업부문에서 온실가스발생량이 상당히 높은 것으로 예상 된다. 10개 기업체 중 5개 기업체의 온실가스 배출량 산정 및 인벤토리 구축 결과 온실가스 배출량의 공정에 따른 직접배출이 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 에너지 및 온실가스 저감을 위해 올 해 약 온실가스저감 227,554만원 경제적 효과가 나타났다. 또한 온실가스 이산화탄소 50,740 Ton/yr 절감효과를 발생하였다.

Serum Amyloid A as an Independent Prognostic Factor for Renal Cell Carcinoma - A Hospital Based Study from the Western Region of Nepal

  • Objective: The objective of our present study was to assess the role of serum amyloid A (SAA) in stages and prognosis of renal cell carcinoma. Material and Methods: It was a hospital based retrospective study carried out in the Department of Medicine and Biochemistry of Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara, Nepal between $1^{st}$ January 2008 and $31^{st}$ December 2011. The variables collected were SAA, CRP. Approval for the study was obtained from the institutional research ethical committee. Quantitative analysis of human SAA and C-reactive protein (CRP) was performed by radial immune diffusion (RID) assay for all cases. Results: Of the 422 total cases of renal cell carcinoma, 218 patients had normal and 204 abnormal SAA. SAA levels were grossly elevated in T3 stage ($122.3{\pm}SD35.7$) when compared to the mean for the T2 stage ($84.2{\pm}SD24.4$) (p value: 0.0001). Similarly, SAA levels were grossly elevated in M1 stage ($190.0{\pm}SD12.7$) when compared to the M0 stage ($160.9{\pm}SD24.8$) (p: 0.0001). There was no significant association with elevated CRP levels ($209.1{\pm}SD22.7$, normal $199.0{\pm}SD19.5$). Conclusion: The validity of SAA in serum as being of independent prognostic significance in RCC was demonstrated with higher levels in advanced stage disease.

VHL Gene Mutation Analysis of a Chinese Family with Non-Syndromic Pheochromocytomas and Patients with Apparently Sporadic Pheochromocytoma

  • Objective: The Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome (VHLD), an inherited neoplastic syndrome predisposing to central nervous system hemangioblastoma (CNS), pheochromocytoma (PCC), renal cell carcinoma(RCC), retinal hemangioma (RA) and renal cysts, is caused by mutations or deletions of the VHL tumor-suppressor gene. To assess VHL genotype-phenotype correlations with function of pVHL a gene mutation analysis of members in a Chinese family with non-syndromic PCCs and individuals with apparently sporadic pheochromocytoma (ASP) was performed. Materials and Methods: DNA samples of 20 members from the Chinese family with non-syndromic PCCs and 41 patients with ASP were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction and direct sequencing, confirmed by Taqman probe. Results: Three novel mutations (H125P, 623(^TTTGTtG) and R120T) were identified in the Chinese family and in 3 among 41 ASP patients. The mutations were all located in exon 2 of VHL gene encoding ${\beta}$-domain of pVHL. The tumor type in H125P carriers and R120T carriers was VHL type 2C. And 623(^TTTGTtG) carriers presented VHL type 2B or type 2C. Conclusions: VHL gene abnormalities were identified in the Chinese family with non-syndromic PCCs and patients with APS, resulting in dysfunction of pVHL. H125P and R120T could be associated with VHL type 2C, while 623(^TTTGTtG) might be linked with VHL type 2B or type 2C. Not only is the genetic analysis helpful for early diagnosis and treatment of patients with VHLD, it is also benefitial for research intoVHLD pathogenesis.

치밀형 유방에서 유방특이감마영상검사의 유용성 평가 (A Study on Comparative Analysis of Mammography and Tc-99m MIBI Scintimammography for Dense Breast)

  • Purpose: This study was to evaluate usefulness of $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI scintimammography for dense breast by comparing concordance in test results between Tc-99m MIBI scintimammography and mammography whose effect was proved the most as an imaging tool depending on breast density and at the same time by examining limitation on evaluation depending on density of breast tissue. [Materials and Methods] In the period from December 2010 to July 2011, this study targeted 150 patients who took both of $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI scintimammography and mammography conducted by using breast gamma camera in this hospital. Breast density was classified to the four levels of pattern 1~4 based on the results of mammography. $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI scintimammography was conducted with the LCC, the RCC, the LMLO, and the RML one minute after intravenous injection of 99mTc-MIBI 7400 MBq (20 mCi) while analysis was made for concordance in test results of $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI scintimammography and mammography. [Results] Among the 150 patients, pattern 1 was found in 3 patients, pattern 2 in 44 patients, pattern 3 in 61 patients, and pattern 4 in 37 patients. There were 5 patients who showed the case where it was impossible to determine density of breast tissue due to foreign body inserted to breast. The concordance ratio of the results between $^{99m}Tc$-MIBI scintimammography and mammography was 95.5% for pattern 2, 95.1% for pattern 3 and 94.6% for pattern 4. This demonstrated that the concordance rate decreased according to the increase in breast density. [Conclusion] When there was limitation on evaluation of breast specific gamma imaging test results due to increased intake in breast tissue or surgical site, the concordance rate was 6.8% for pattern 2, 16.3% for pattern 3 and 18.9% for pattern 4. This demonstrated that the degree of limitation on evaluation of breast specific gamma imaging test results increased according to the increase in breast density.

유연하고 감지성있는 조립전용 로봇 손목 의 개발 에 대한 연구 (The Development of a Flexible and Sensible Robot Wrist for Aseembly Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 Fig.1과 같은 조립용 손목을 개발하였는데, 유연성의 구조는 RCC의 원리를 이용하고, 감지성은 Hi-Thand에서 채택한 스트레인 게이지 방식을 적용 하였다. 이 조립용 손목의 성능실험은 조립될 부품간의 틈새율, 부품의 길이 그리고 오차의 크기에 따라 수행하였으며, 조립시 스트레인 게이지로부터 측정되는 반력들은 D.E.Whitney의 조립이론식을 적용하여 구한 이론치와 비교하여 보았다. 반력을 측정 하는 궁극적인 목적은 이 측정치를 이용하여 귀환제어함으로써 초기오차를 수정하는 것이기 때문에 귀환제어를 어떻게 하느냐에 따라 조립시 생기는 반력이나 조립시간이 달라진다. 따라서 귀환제어를 위한 제어 알고리즘을 개발하였고 조립시 발생하는 반 력을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 구해서 귀환제어 시키지 않을시 즉 수정적 방법에 의해서 조립할때에 발생하는 힘과를 비교 분석하였다.

Factors Prognostic for Survival in Japanese Patients Treated with Sunitinib as First-line Therapy for Metastatic Clear Cell Renal Cell Cancer

  • Background: Factors predictive of survival have been identified in Western patients with metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma (mCCRCC) treated with sunitinib. Less is known, however, about factors predictive of survival in Japanese patients. This study evaluated factors prognostic of survival in Japanese patients with mCCRCC treated with first-line sunitinib. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study evaluated 46 consecutive Japanese mCCRCC patients treated with sunitinib as first line therapy. Clinical and biochemical markers associated with progression-free survival (PFS) were analyzed, with prognostic factors selected by uniand multivariate Cox regression analyses. Results: Univariate analysis showed that factors significantly associated with poor PFS included Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center poor risk scores, International Metastatic RCC Database Consortium poor risk and high (>0.5 mg/dl) serum C-reactive protein (CRP) concentrations (p<0.001 each). Multivariate analysis showed that high serum CRP was independently associated with poorer PFS (p=0.040). Six month disease control rate (complete response, partial response and stable disease) in response to sunitinib was significantly higher in patients with normal (${\leq}0.5mg/dl$) than elevated baseline CRP (p<0.001). Conclusions: CRP is a significant independent predictor of PFS for Japanese patients with mCCRCC treated with first-line sunitinib. Pretreatment CRP concentration may be a useful biomarker predicting response to sunitinib treatment.

  • 벼 세포 현탁배양여액으로부터 chitooligosaccharides에 의해 유도된 염기성 단백질 ICG를 순수분리하였다. 본 단백질은 chitin과 laminarin을 가수분해하므로 chitinase와 ${\beta}-1,3-glucanase$ 활성을 함께 보유하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 벼잎 단백질 RCG-2와는 달리 lysozyme 활성을 가지고 있지 않았다. 분자량이 52.53 kd인 본 효소의 chitinase 활성은 pH 5.0, $60^{\circ}C$, ${\beta}-1,3-glucanase$ 활성을 pH 4.0, $40^{\circ}C$의 조건에서 최대로 나타났다.$NAG_5$에 대한 $K_M$$V_{max}$ 수치는 각각 0.474 mM, 2.997 nM/min., laminarin에 대한 것은 각각 1.004 mM, 0.739 nM/min.로 나타나, ICG는 RCC-2보다 높은 기질친화성을 가지고 있으며 chitin을 chitooligosaccharide로 분해하는 endo형 chitinase로 판명되었다.
