Performance analysis of cellular CDMA networks with power control error in nakagami fading channel (Nakagami 페이딩 채널에서 전력 제어 오차를 고려한 셀룰라 CDMA 네트워크의 성능 분석)

  • We examine the DS/SSMA system which is employing coherent BPSK with RAKE receiver. We adop Nakagami m-distribution as a multipath fading model. First, we analyze the performances of the system in the single cell environment and obtain the other-cell interference according to power control error. And considering the other-cell interference into the analysis of single cell system, we examine the cellular CDMA network. The average BER and outage probability are the figures of merit that characterize the system performance. The required BER, 1E-3, and required outage probability are the figures of merit that characterize the system performance. The requeired BER, 1E-3, and required outage probability, 1% for the voice transmission is considered to acquire the capacity of system.

  • In this paper, we consider the quasi maximum likelihood(quasi-ML) detector which uses antenna arrays in asynchronous time-varing channels. It is shown that the proposed quasi-ml detector can be regarded as a beamformer followed by a decorrelator: a method based on the eigendecomposition of the correlation matrix of the inverse-filtered signal is proposed to estimate the channel vectors. We also show that the proposed algorithm estimates the channel vector within small mismatch loss in severe propagation environment through computer simulations.

  • This paper presents implementation of Air protocol analyzer and physical layer design algorithm. The analyzer is a measurement system providing real-time analysis of wireless signals between User Equipment (UE) and Node-B. The implemented system proposed in this paper consists of Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). The waveform of Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) has been selected for verification of the proposed system. We designed the analyzer using equalizer algorithm and rake-receiver algorithm. Among various algorithms of designing the equalizer, we have chosen Linear Minimum Mean Square Error (LMMSE) equalizer that uses the inverse of channel matrix. Since the LMMSE equalizer uses the inverse channel matrix, it suffers from a large amount of computational load, while it outperforms most conventional equalizers. In this paper, we introduce an efficient procedure of reducing the computational load required by LMMSE equalizer-based receiver.

Collision Analysis of Full Rake TGV-K for crashworthy design (고속전철 TGV-K 전체 차량에 대한 충돌안전도 해석 연구)

  • Described in this paper is the result of a study on collision analysis of TGV-K using 1-dimensional model for crashworthy design. Crashworthy design of the front end is very important because majority of the impact energy (more than 70%) is absorbed by the crush of the front end when the train is collided with an obstacle like a tank lorry. Guideline for the crashworthy design can be described from the collision analysis of the whole train using a 1-dimensional model. Since the headstock of TGV-K is not designed in a crashworthy point of view, a conceptual design of the headstock to improve crashworthiness is suggested and evaluated using 1-dimensional collision analysis. The suggested design, which adopts an energy absorber and a crashworthy headstock, shows a good behaviour on the accident scenario of SNCF (collision at 110 km/hr against a movable rigid mass of 15 ton).

  • In this paper, numerically evaluated is the crashworthiness of the new design of the standard Korea Electric Multiple Unit Train(K-EMU)[developed by the Korea Railway Research Institute]. The 4-car consist of K-EMU is analyzed under collision conditions such as normal coupling, heavy shunting, light collision and heavy collision to collide against another stationary one at 5 kph, 10 kph, 25 kph and 32 kph, respectively. Energy absorbing capacity of its draftgear commercially available in the market and to be equipped in K-EMU is evaluated under each collision condition. Analytical results show that draftgear only is not enough to provide necessary energy absorbing capacity. It is therefore concluded that additional energy absorbers like mechanical fuses should be adopted to improve the crashworthiness of K-EMU.

  • In this paper, the crush characteristics of a tilting train express (TTX) M-car design are evaluated with a head-on collision scenario. Its body shell is divided into three parts - front end, middle section, and rear end. For each part, crush-force relation is evaluated numerically through 3-dimensional shell element analysis with LS-DYNA. TTX's embody structure is a hybrid type structure made of steel and composite materials. Composite sandwich panels are modeled as layered shells whose layers have different material properties. And a damage material model is used to consider the effect of stiffness degradation during deformation. The crush characteristics obtained from these calculations will be used as material modeling data of full-rake collision analyses.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the performance of SDR-based dual-band CDMA system in wideband multipath channel employing RAKE receiver with MRC diversity. For the simulation of SDR-based dual-band CDMA system, we used digital If techniques, polyphase analysis filter bank as channelizer, where Remez exchange algorithm is employed in the realization of the digital filter.

  • In this paper, the performance of DS-CDMA system with smart antenna is analyzed for different bandwidths (1.25MHz, 5MHz) and different channel environments (rural, urban). For the analysis of smart antenna system, the vector channel having the spatio-temporal correlation is modeled as a time- variant linear filter in time, and each multipath is assumed as a reflective wave from only one direction (only one cluster) in space. Several multipaths within one chip are distinguished into each one and the strongest signal is selected. DS-CDMA system with smart antenna using wider bandwidth present better performance than that using narrow bandwidth. It is shown that the smart antenna is more effective in urban area when using 2D-RAKE receiver.

  • 본 논문은 레이크 수신기의 성능 개선에 관한 것으로 다중 경로 페이딩에 의한 시간 지연으로 나타나는 자기 간섭이 제거된 DS-CDMA/QPSK 신호의 성능을 분석하였다. 자기 간섭 제거를 위해 새로운 레이크 수신기를 제안하고 제안된 수신기의 시스템 성능은 차량 이동통신 환경, 실내 이동통신 환경과 실외에서 실내로 이동중인 환경으로 구분하여 라이시안과 레일리 페이딩 환경에서 분석하였다. 제안된 레이크 수신기는 적용한 DS-CDMA 시스템의 합성 수신 SNR 증가로 오율 성능이 개선되었으며 오율 $10^{-3}$에서 K=6[dB]일 경우에 1[dB]의 성능 개선 효과가 나타났으며, K=3.7[dB]일 경우에는 1.5[dB], K=0[dB]일 경우에는 2[dB]의 성능 개선 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.
