  • Four new nemourid species, Amphinemura rai n. sp., Amphinemura baei n. sp., Protonemura villosa n. sp., and Nemoura espera n. sp. are described and illustrated. Amphinemura rai n. sp. closely resembles Amphinemura tragula (Kimmins) externally, but differs from Amphinemura tragula by the projections on male terminalia and the shape of the female subgenital plate. Amphinemura baei n. sp. is similar to A. bulla Shimizu in body color, size, and structure of male and female terminalia, but distinguished by the ventral sclerites of epiproct, the knobs on the sides of the epiproct, and the shape of paraprocts. Protonemura villosa n. sp. is similar to p. hotakana Ueno in body color, size, and the structure of terminalia, but distinguished by the epiproctal flagellum and ventral sclerite, the shape of the tenth tergum. Finally, Nemoura espera n.sp. is close to Nemoura alabeli Zhilt-zova In appearance, but differs by the shape and location of the ventral and dorsal sclerites of the epiproct.

  • Eye gaze positions evaluation on computer screen uses the human eye as an input device for computer systems is that it gives low resolution. We proposes a method to determine the eye gaze positions on the screen by using two-eye displacements as the information for mapping, and the perspective projection is applied to map the displacements to a position on a computer screen. The experiments were performed on 20 persons and a 17-inch monitor is used with the screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels. Gaze detection error was 3.18 cm (RMS error), with screen is divided into 5x8 and 7x10 positions on a 17-inch monitor. The results showed 100% and 96% correction, respectively.

  • We made a human-sensitive motion interpretation to the interactive emotional robot, "Rai" of which the mechanism design was carried out and completed. Kinematic system of this emotional robot mainly consists of a body and a head. The body contains the total control units , the communicat ion modules and also two wheels and motors for main driving which make kinds of motions 1 ike the inverted pendulum. This robot system is designed under the concept on the human-friendly mot ion and react ion wi th humans around living room and office environments. Therefore, various scenarios are constructed in order to enable the emotional expressions at those places. Especially, we interpreted technically-possible motions while accommodating to the scenarios constructed. And we performed some experiments to make sere of the possibility of the motion interpretation.
