The aqueous two phase system has biocompatibility, because it is physically separated into an immiscible liquid multi-layer induced by incompatibility among hydrophilic components dissolved in the water phase. we have applied this principle to aqueous multi-layer liquid cosmetics and select two representative systems. What it was experimentally obtained was the phase diagrams including a binodal curve, a critical point, tie lines of concentration and tie curves of phase separating volume ratio and phase separating time. From the phase diagrams, we were able to observe existence of the optimum condition to prepare the aqueous multi-layer cosmetics for the systems.

Recently, [I-123]IPT SPECT has been used for early diagnosis of Parkinson's patients(PP) by imaging dopamine transporters. The dynamic time activity curves in basal ganglia(BG) and occipital cortex(OCC) without blood samples were obtained for 2 hours. These data were then used to measure dopamine transporters by operationally defined ratio methods of (BG-OCC)/OCC at 2 hrs, binding potential $R_v=k_3/k_4$ using graphic method or $R_A$= (ABBG-ABOCC)/ABOCC for 2 hrs, where ABBG represents accumulated binding activity in basal ganglia(${\int}^{120min}_0$ BG(t)dt) and ABOCC represents accumulated binding activity in occipital cortex(${\int}^{120min}_0$ OCC(t)dt). The purpose of this study was to examine the IPT pharmacokinetics and investigate the usefulness of simplified methods of (BG-OCC)/OCC, $R_A$, and $R_v$ which are often assumed that these values reflect the true values of $k_3/k_4$. The rate constants $K_1,\;k_2\;k_3$ and $k_4$ to be used for simulations were derived using [I-123]IPT SPECT and aterialized blood data with a standard three compartmental model. The sensitivities and time activity curves in BG and OCC were computed by changing $K_l$ and $k_3$(only BG) for every 5min over 2 hours. The values (BG-OCC)/OCC, $R_A$, and $R_v$ were then computed from the time activity curves and the linear regression analysis was used to measure the accuracies of these methods. The late constants $K_l,\;k_2\;k_3\;k_4$ at BG and OCC were $1.26{\pm}5.41%,\;0.044{\pm}19.58%,\;0.031{\pm}24.36%,\;0.008{\pm}22.78%$ and $1.36{\pm}4.76%,\;0.170{\pm}6.89%,\;0.007{\pm}23.89%,\;0.007{\pm}45.09%$, respectively. The Sensitivities for ((${\Delta}S/S$)/(${\Delta}k_3/k_3$)) and ((${\Delta}S/S$)/(${\Delta}K_l/K_l$)) at 30min and 120min were measured as (0.19, 0.50) and (0.61, 0,23), respectively. The correlation coefficients and slopes of ((BG-OCC)/OCC, $R_A$, and $R_v$) with $k_3/k_4$ were (0.98, 1.00, 0.99) and (1.76, 0.47, 1.25), respectively. These simulation results indicate that a late [I-123]IPT SPECT image may represent the distribution of the dopamine transporters. Good correlations were shown between (3G-OCC)/OCC, $R_A$ or $R_v$ and true $k_3/k_4$, although the slopes between them were not unity. Pharmacokinetic computer simulations may be a very useful technique in studying dopamine transporter systems.
The purposes of this study were to evaluate the validity of 2 kinds of digital radiography techniques in evaluating the radiopacity comparison of restorative materials and to determine the relative radiopacities of several kinds of compomer and flow able resin using these techniques. After taking radiographs of an aluminum step wedge, con-elation of optical density calibration curves were evaluated between conventional radiography with transmission densitometer and CD-Dent digital radiography (storage phosphor system) and between conventional one and RVG$^{(R)}$ digital radiography (CCD system). Compomers such as Dyract$^{(R)}$ AP, Compoglass$^{(R)}$, and Dyract flow$^{(R)}$, and flowable resins such as Ultraseal-XT$^{(R)}$ plus$^{TM}$, Revolution$^{TM}$, Aeliteflo$^{TM}$ and Tetric-flow$^{(R)}$ were used. Five specimens of 5mm in diameter and 2 mm thick were fabricated with each material. Radiopacities of the materials were measured using the above radiographic techniques and compared. The results were as follows: 1. When the optical density calibration curves were compared, conventional radiography and both CD-Dent and RVG$^{(R)}$ digital radiographies showed very high inverse correlations (${\gamma}$=-0.95, ${\gamma}$=-0.98 ; p<0.05). 2. All the tested restorative materials showed levels of radiopacity the same as or greater than that of dentin (p<0.05), Radiopacities of Dyract$^{(R)}$ AP, Compoglass$^{(R)}$, and Tetric flow$^{(R)}$ were greater than those of Revolution$^{TM}$, Aeliteflo$^{TM}$, or dentin (p<0.05). 3. Radiopacities of Dyract$^{(R)}$ AP, Compoglass$^{(R)}$, and Tetric flow$^{(R)}$ were shown to be greater than that of enamel when conventional radiography and CD-Dent digital radiography were used (p<0.05). Radiopacity of Dyract flow$^{(R)}$ was shown to be greater than that of Enamel when conventional radiography was used (p<0.05).
The wheel radiation noise characteristic of Korean tilting train(Hanvit 200) on curved rail under the field test conditions is analyzed in this paper. The test railroad track was selected from Seodaejon to Songjeongri in Honam line. $5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ car are decided to measure radiation noise level among a train of six cars. The test subject curve radius executed from R400, R500, R600, R700 and R800 segments. The speed of test trains when from R600 and R800 curves existing operation speed and speed up 20% of existing speed. On curved rail at the time of operation speed of Hanvit 200 trains from below 95km/h wheel radiation noise level at $94dBA{\sim}99dBA$, the operation speed from between $100km/h{\sim}144km/h$ wheel radiation noise level at $100dBA{\sim}106dBA$.

Purpose: As increasing complexity of modern radiotherapy technique, more developing dosimetry is required. Polymer gel dosimeters offer a wide range of potential applications with high resolution and assured quality in the thee-dimensional verification of complex dose distribution such as intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT). The purpose of this study is to find the most sensitive and suitable gel as a dosimeter by varying its composition ratio and its condition such as temperature during manufacturing. Materials and Methods: Each polymer gel with various ratio of composition was irradiated with the same amount of photon beam accordingly. Various polymer gels were analyzed and compared using a dedicated software written in visual C++ which converts TE images to R2 map images. Their sensitivities to the photon beam depending on their composition ratio were investigated. Results: There is no dependence on beam energy nor dose rate, and calibration curve is linear. Conclusion: The polymer gel dosimeter developed by using anti-oxidant in this study proved to be suitable for dosimetry.
A method of estimating the fluid drag of a fishing gear and otter board spread in a midwater trawl on full scale was described by implementing a three-dimensional semi-analytic treatment of the towing cable (warp) of a trawl system with the field experiments obtained with the SCANMAR system. The shape of hand rope, bridle and float(or ground) rope attached behind otter boards in a horizontal plane was assumed to be of form $y_r=Ax_r^B$. The distance between otter boards (otter board spread) obtained by the three dimensional analysis of a towing cable must be equal to that obtained by the functional equation of the shape of ropes behind otter boards, The angle of attack of ropes which can be obtained from the functional equation enables one to estimate the fluid drag of trawl net (net drag) by subtracting the fluid drag of the hand rope and bridles from the drag component of the tension of hand rope attached just behind the otter boards.
Purpose Using a regression formula of the trendline near the coefficient of determination (R2) "1" by substituting the dependent variable of the standard curve to calculate the values of the independent variable. To determine the suitability of a regression equation by comparing the difference between the independent variables of the standard curve and the predicted independent variables. Materials and Methods Perkin Elmer Gamma-Counter machine was used for Standard curve of regression methods. TSH. TG-Ag (Thyroglobulin Antigen), Insulin that used materials and method test to compare the result from the Excel trendline of the regression formula. Results Each of the value of coefficient of determination ($R^2$) and Trendline $R^2=1$, Polynomial Trendline for TSH, $R^2=1$, Polynomial Trendline for TG-Ag, $R^2=0.9994$, Polynomial Trendline for Insulin. Conclusion We confirmed that IRMA immune method is found to the nearest trends elected a standard curve using polynomial trendline. The independent variables to predict the trend by using a polynomial trendline formula containing the error was a limitation.
The sorption characteristics of red pepper powder were analyzed in respect to its storing humidities and the types of powder product. The sorption rate of the powder was affected by the humidity values under which it was stored. At low relative humidity values below 70% RH the sorption equilibrium was easily attained, but at the higher humidity over 75% RH the equilibrium state was not reached even after a long period of storage. From the estimation of the sorption rate at arbitrary humidity an empirical equation was obtained; In ${\frac{dw}{dt}}=n\;ln(t)+ln\;c$, where w is moisture content(%) absorbed, t is time (hour) and n and c are empirical constants which were determined from empirical data. Particle sizes and drying methods of red pepper showed little effect on the sorption behavior.
This research is to evaluate of the J-R curve characteristic in 5083 aluminum alloy weldment by utilizing the load ratio analysis. This analysis method can be evaluated the J-R curve only with load-displacement curve without any particular precision instrument equipment in CT specimen. For validity, the results of the load ratio analysis are compared with the those of the J-R curve, which are obtained by the ASTM standard unloading compliance method. The calculated crack length of the load ratio analysis is well appropriate that the measured final crack length. And the J-R curve slope estimated by the load ratio analysis is slightly smaller than that by the ASTM unloading compliance method.
