Wetlands are constantly affected by internal and external environments that make up the wetlands, and these effects make wetlands change. East Asia countries where about 15% of Ramsar's registered wetlands are located, is valuable conservation area due to various wetland types and biodiversity. However, due to climate change and other factors, the total area of wetlands has been reduced and biodiversity have been damaged. To mitigate these problems and to manage wetlands efficiently, it is important to identify the factors that change wetlands and to identify how each factor affects them. In this study, we conducted a wetland-related literature analysis in East Asia to derive factors that affect the changes in wetlands, and analyzed the relationships among the factors. Finally we presented research directions considering wetland change factors. In most of the East Asia countries, it was found that there is deficiency in research studies about extraction in direct factors and water-energy infrastructure, tourism & recreation in indirect factors. Also, we presented the necessity for future research using the result between connectivity & relationship analysis and indirect drivers of change and their influence on direct drivers of change. The results of this study could contribute to the establishment of an R&D cooperation system in East Asia region and strengthen wetland management.
Using the materials collected from nine farms in a three-way cross system to produce commercial pigs produced from F1 sows (Landrace $\times$ Large White) $\times$ Duroc, the power of individual discrimination and parentage of the 13 microsatellite (MS) marker set that has been suggested for individual/brand identification (traceability) was empirically tested. Initially, genotypes of the parental population ($F_1$ sows and Duroc), and commercial pigs were determined and the genotype frequency and polymorphic index were estimated using the Cervus 2.0 program. The probability of identity among genotypes of random individuals, that random half sibs and that of full sib individuals, based on the genotypes from 91 $F_1$ sows and Duroc were expected to be $4.94{\times}10^{-34}$, $8.16{\times}10^{-23}$ and $2.01{\times}10^{-08}$, respectively, using the API-CALC version 1.0 program. When commercial pigs were included, the estimates increased to $3.74{\times}10^{-35}$, $5.48{\times}10^{-25}$ and $2.96{\times}10^{-11}$, respectively. For the empirical verification of the estimated powers of individual discrimination and parentage, the parentage test was performed for 452 commercial pigs using PAPA version 2.0, and individuals with the same genotype were investigated using the Cervus version 2.0 program. Parents for all commercial pigs were successfully estimated and no identical individual was identified in the pedigree. Although the individual discriminating power was not fully verified because of the lack of individuals corresponding with the theoretical power, the 100% efficiency of parentage test was clearly confirmed. Therefore, we believe that the 13 MS marker set in conjunction with management record/information for the pig production kept in a farm/brand should be useful in the pork traceability in a brand unit.

A previous study has shown that the g.17924G>A polymorphism of fatty acid synthase (FASN) is associated with unsaturated fatty acid composition in the Hanwoo beef, hence this study was conducted to evaluate the effect of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within FASN gene on the selection phenotypes of Hanwoo breeding stock. A total of 925 progeny test steers were used to genotype g.11280G>A, g.13125T>C, and g.17924G>A polymorphisms and significant associations were found among g.11280G>A, g.17924G>A, and carcass traits, such as carcass weight, backfat thickness, and beef quantity index. No significant association was found between g.13125T>C and carcass traits. Although the degree of linkage disequilibrium (LD) was not strong among g.11280G>A, g.13125T>C, and g.17924G>A in the LD analysis, four major haplotype classes were formed with the genotypic information within the FASN gene; the frequencies of the halpotypeswere -GCG-[0.378], -ATG-[0.301], -GTA-[0.191], and -ACG-[0.063], respectively. Phenotypic association was performed among these haploptypes, and the haplotype 2 (-ATG-)was significantly associated with higher carcass weight when compared to the other haplotypes, i.e. haplotype 1 (-GCG-) and haplotype 3 (-GTA-). A copy number of the FASN haplotype 3 (-GTA-) had also a significant association with carcass weight of subjects. In conclusion, it was observed that two polymorphisms (g.11280G>A and g.17924G>A) and their haplotypes within the FASN gene are consistently associated with carcass traits. Therefore, it is desirable to use the FASN polymorphisms for pre-selection program as genetic marker with improved carcass yield and beef quality of the Hanwoo sire at the Hanwoo Improvement Center as well as for commercial Hanwoo producers, the FASN genotypic information can be used for a part of selecting Hanwoo dam for superior calf production.

In a rapidly changing environment, such as globalization, technology-based startups are attracting attention as a new growth engine that creates jobs and added value and promotes national competitiveness. At present, countries around the world recognize the development of technology-based start-up companies as a major policy task and strive to make policy efforts to revitalize start-ups and strengthen innovation capabilities of companies. Especially, in order to secure superiority in the fierce market competition, it is becoming more and more important for the growth and development of technological start-up companies that pioneer new markets and energize the economy based on original and innovative technologies. Therefore, it is necessary to study systematically and plan for survival and growth of technology start-up companies. The purpose of this study is to investigate the entrepreneurial spirit of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Risk Sensibility and Technology Innovation Capacity, R&D ability, Technology Accumulation Capacity, Technology Innovation System, The results of this study are as follows. the effects of marketing ability on technical performance and financial performance are examined. First, the CEO 's entrepreneurial spirit has an effect on the technical performance and financial performance of the management performance. Second, the technology accumulation ability and the R & D capability have a positive effect on the technical performance. Finally, it was found that the ability to commercialize the technology commercialization capacity affects both technical performance and financial performance. The policy implications that can be gained through this are as follows. First, by strengthening cooperation between universities and research institutes, related technology entrepreneurship education programs should be upgraded so that technology entrepreneurs or preliminary entrepreneurs can capture business opportunities and secure market price competitiveness. Secondly, R & D for the purpose of start-up should be developed and marketable technology should be developed and linked to direct start-up. Third, it is necessary to activate the program to match the company with the honorary retirement manpower of large enterprises and SMEs, which have more experience in field experience than the founders.
This study was conducted to select the optimal machinery systems for the Mechanized Farming Groups (MFG) by their sizes. In order to achieve the objective, a survey and systems analysis were taken for 50 MFG of Chungnam province. Then a mathematical model was developed. Based on it, a computer program (MFSDINGP) was developed by the Iterative Nonlinear Goal Programming (INGP) and Hooke & Jeeves pattern search algorithm. Using MFSDINGP, optimal machinery systems were selected and presented with annual costs of machinery for the sizes of 5-40 ha of MFG.

Nowadays, three-dimensional computer added design(3D CAD) tool are widely and actively used for design of mechanical machine. Because using the tool is more effective to understand design concept and to collaborate with other operation than using two-dimensional design tool. In this study, the 3D CAD tool which is called I-DEAS was applied for three-dimensional modeling of main parts and assembling of modeled parts for identification the entire shape of a injection molding machine. In addition, a study was also performed regarding reduction for the weight of main plates for saving production cost and energy in the machine. A finite element method(FEM) program in I-DEAS tool was used for the improvement study. First, the current main plates were structural analysed and then the plate deformations, weak regions and stress distributions were graped. By the FEM results, the 2nd improved designing of the plates was conducted such as reinforcement or slimming of the plate wall thickness. The 2nd structural FEM was performed for verification of the redesigned plates and then the FEM results were compared with the 1st FEM's result. The weight of the main plates were averagely reduced approximately 3 - 7%. By these results, it was seemed that the improved plates have a useful availability.

To improve the $NO_X$ conversion over a SCR (selective catalytic reduction) catalyst, the DOC (diesel oxidation catalyst) is usually placed upstream of the SCR catalyst to enhance the fast SCR reaction ($4NH_3+2NO+2NO_2{\rightarrow}4N_2+6H_2O$) using equimolar amounts of NO and $NO_2$. Here, a ratio of $NO_2/NO_X$ above 50% should be avoided, because the reaction with $NO_2$ only ($4NH_3+4NO+O_2{\rightarrow}4N_2+6H_2O$) is slower than the standard SCR reaction ($4NH_3+4NO+O_2{\rightarrow}4N_2+6H_2O$). In order to accurately predict the performance characteristics of SCR catalysts, it is therefore desired to develop a more simple and reliable mathematical and kinetic models on the oxidation kinetics of nitric oxide over a DOC. In the present work, the prediction accuracy and limit of three different chemical reaction kinetics models are presented to describe the chemicophysical characteristics and conversion performance of DOCs. Steady-state experiments with DOCs mounted on a light-duty four-cylinder 2.0-L turbocharged diesel engine then are performed, using an engine-dynamometer system to calibrate the kinetic parameters such as activation energies and preexponential factors of heterogeneous reactions. The reaction kinetics for NO oxidation over Pt-based catalysts is determined in conjunction with a transient one-dimensional (1D) heterogeneous plug flow reactor (PFR) model with diesel exhaust gas temperatures in the range of 115~$525^{\circ}C$ and space velocities in the range of $(0.4{\sim}6.5){\times}10^5\;h^{-1}$.
The purpose of this study is to survey the conditions of women's wears manufacturing industries and finds out their qualitative problems and suggests the solutions to help women's wears manufacturing industries adapting themselves well to the fashion industries which is being individualized, high profiled and differentiated and thus helpes them to produce the competitive commodities through high-qualities and technological improvements. For this purpose, I had sampled the factories which located in Seoul and Kyunggido areas and produced women's apparels for domestic consumers. The questionnaires for this survey were designed by interviewing the representatives of 31 women's wears manufacturing industries, while the collected data were processed using the SAS statistical program for frequency, percentage, chi-square test, t-test. The results of the survey can be summarized as follows; 1. It was found that women's wears manufacturing industries were getting smaller scale or pettier in terms of capital, number of employees or scale of factory. 2. The number of the employees is getting decrease every year, which is posed as most serious problems of the surveyed manufacturer. Such a decrease of employees may be attributable to the fact that women's wears manufacturing industries are regarded as one of 3D businesses and therefore the employees leave their workspaces for more rewarding service industries. 3. It was found that women's wears manufacturing industries relied on more recontracts than self-productions. In 1995, 83.7% of their productions were out of recontracts, and this rate is getting increase. 4. 51.6% of the surveyed manufacturer operate by straight line system or other types of line system, while 48.4% of the remaining managed a pair system. 5. As a result of surveying the perspective of women's wears manufacturing industries into the 21 st century is as followed. 41.9% of them were optimistic, and 25.8% were pessimistic about their futures.
The objectives of this study were to: (a) examine the overall operating conditions of both government-dominant and non-governmental food bank programs, (b) understand the operational management attributes on the target based on IPA (importance performance analysis) (c) analyze the present status of donating management, and (d) suggest a direction based on the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of food banks in each part. The random samples of 120 food bank operators were selected by a proportionate stratified random sampling method. A total of 60 government-dominant food banks and 25 non-governmental food banks were analyzed. The main results of this study were as follows: Accord-ing to the Importance-Performance Analysis of operational management, 'assistance for operating funds' and 'deployment of experience staff' were placed at 'Focus Here'. There was a great shortage of experienced staff with food bank-specific knowledge. The average number of the government-dominant and non-governmental food bank program employees was 0.29 and 0.30 respectively, while the ratios of employees with other jobs were 0.96 and 0.83 respectively. Shortages of refrigeration facilities were an area that needs to be addressed. While 51.6% of donated food required cold storage, only 45% of government-dominant and 60% of non-governmental food bank programs had refrigeration facilities. Most of food bank operators (96.3%) were required to visit the donators' locations to pick up the donated foods. And the foods were distributed to the people in need, especially to the livelihood protectee.

This paper presents a simple and fast approach to plan the arrangement of supports and to do a ship docking analysis. The unpredicted structural damages often happen from a docking works as the size of ships are getting larger and larger. In docking a ship, excessive reaction forces from supports are primary causes of the structural damage. The grillage analysis method is employed to simply calculate only the reaction forces at supports. The grillage modeling strategies are proposed to improve the accuracy. In this paper, the results obtained by the proposed approach are compared with those of the current whole-ship FEA for typical types of ships. Comparison shows that the results from the present grillage approaches are reasonably in a good agreement with the 3-D full F.E one. Finally, an integrated program developed for the ship docking analysis is described.
