카페테리아 식단을 제공하는 사업체 급식소의 식단운영 형태에 따른 대기행렬 분석 (Queueing Analysis by Menu Management Systems in Cafeteria of the Business Foodservices)

  • The purposes of this study were to : (a) anlayze wating time, service rate, arrival rate, and coustomer expectations/satisfaction in cafeteria business foodservices and (b) identify the differences in those factors between foodservices by menu managmenet systems. The samples were two business foodservices operated by contract management in Seoul. The queue, laptime , service rate, and arrival rate were measured at each foodservice by stopwatch observation. The menu type, delivery system, number of meals served , servide time, and turnover rate of each foodservic was investigated. Questionnaires were developed to survey customer expectations and satisfaction. Satistical data analysis was completed using the SAS package programs for descriptive analysis and t-test. The mean waiting time of island type dafeteria system with separte set -menu was shorter than that of the other. In both foodservices, arrival rates were not significantly different from one another , but sevice rates were significnatly high in dafeteria menu systems. The peak time of the queue was found out at combination set menu line. The separate set menu line had a higher servide rate than the combination set menu line. The mean waiting time of the island type cafeteria line was shorter than that of the straifth type . At the straight type dafeterial line, both arrival rate and service rate were higher than those of island-type. The results of this study suggested that a separate set-menu would be more desirable than a combination set-menu in case of providing set menu with cafeteria menu.

상수 공정 시간을 갖는 라인 생산 시스템에서 DBR과 CONWIP의 성능 비교 분석 (Comparison of DBR with CONWIP in a Production Line with Constant Processing Times)

  • 이 연구는 상수 공정 시간을 갖는 라인생산시스템에서 CONWIP과 DBR이 각각 max-plus 선형시스템의 특수형태임을 밝히고 max-plus 대수에 기반한 안정대기시간 연구결과를 이용하여 CONWIP와 DBR의 성능을 비교 분석하였다. CONWIP의 경우, 생산시스템 내의 체류시간은 DBR의 경우보다 항상 짧다는 사실이 수학적으로 규명되었고 예제를 통해 계산, 비교되었다. 한편 두 경우에서 모두, 애로공정이후 노드에서의 대기시간은 유한버퍼의 크기와 공정의 순서에 무관함을 확인하였다. CONWIP에서는 시스템 내 평균 대기시간 또는 체류시간이 공정의 순서에 무관하지만, DBR에서는 애로공정이 뒤로 갈수록 감소함을 확인하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to search for an efficient application method in solving delay-phenomenon problems which influence upon total production cost through case study. The method of this study is an experimental study based on cutting time data in lead cutting operations from "Lead Cutting Machine (Stripper)" and its service rate data from a large electronic products company which utilizes conveyor line system for the products "Car Stereo" The procedure of this experimental study is as follows; 1) Using loading(Man-Hour) analysis technique j,1 order to analyse and evaluate Production capacity, efficiency, operation and idle rate assembly charge, waiting and service cost -when its are controlled by stripper operator(server) 2) Establishing adequate waiting time model of finite population caused by the interference of 4 stripper machine which is drawn from mathematical statistics testing, that is, goodness of fit test in the waiting and service rate and to search for optimal solution by utilizing the above mentioned model The experimental result was that amount to 8,546,618won Per year was brought down, that is, by optimum point, it shows a decrease as compared with Present point. The major limitation of this experimental study is that the Queue in the Finite Population, so to speak. it comes from the interference of 4 stripper machine dealt with this case were limited only on the Car Stereo conveyor line. Further study of application of this application method to the areas such as material handling, personnel management marketing and transportation management is strong1y recommended.trong1y recommended.

상수 공정시간을 갖는 라인 생산 시스템에서 CONWIP과 간반의 성능 비교 (Comparison of CONWIP with Kanban in a Production Line with Constant Processing Times)

  • We compared a CONWIP(constant work-in-process) system with a kanban system in a production line with constant processing times. Based on the observation that a WIP-controlled line production system such as CONWIP and kanban is equivalent to a m-node tandem queue with finite buffer, we applied a max-plus algebra based solution method for the tandem queue to evaluate the performance of two systems. Numerical examples with 6 workstations were used to demonstrate the proposed analysis. The numerical results support the previous studies that CONWIP outperforms kanban in terms of expected waiting time and WIP. Unlike the kanban case, sequencing workstations in a CONWIP does not affect the performance of the system.

An IoT-Aware System for Managing Patients' Waiting Time Using Bluetooth Low-Energy Technology

  • It is a common observation that whenever any patient arrives at the front desk of a hospital, outpatient clinic, or other health-associated centers, they have to first queue up in a line and wait to fill in their registration form to get admitted. The long waiting time without any status updates is the most common complaint, worrying health officials. In this paper, UrNext, a location-aware mobile-based solution using Bluetooth low-energy (BLE) technology, is presented to solve the problem. Recently, a technology-oriented method has been gaining popularity in solving the healthcare sector's problems, namely the Internet of Things (IoT). The implementation of this solution could be explained through a simple example that when a patient arrives at a clinic for her consultation. There, instead of having to wait in long lines, she will be greeted automatically, receive a push notification telling her that she has been admitted along with an estimated waiting time for her consultation session. This will not only provide the patients with a sense of freedom but would also reduce uncertainty levels that are generally observed, thus saving both time and money. This work aimed to improve clinics' quality of services and organize queues and minimize waiting times in clinics, leading to patient comfortability and reducing the burden on nurses and receptionists. The results demonstrated that the presented system was successful in its performance and helped achieve high usability.

이중명령 자동창고의 대기행렬에 관한 연구 (A study on the Waiting Line in the Automated Storage/Retrieval System with Dual Command Policy)

  • Due to the complexity and stochastic nature of automated warehousing system, items are usually queued up at I/O point. We introduce a storage/retrieval policy : dual-command. We present quick approximations to queueing phenomena under these policies. It is assumed that the storage and retrieval arrival pattern follow the same poisson process. We also assumed that storage queue and retrieval queue being operated separately. The approximation attempts are performed under the proposed storage/retrieval policies after we derive S/R machine travel time distributions.

시뮬레이션에 의한 부산항만 운송과정의 분석에 관하여 (On the Analysis of Transportation Process of Pusan Port)

  • Transportation provides an infrastructure vital to economic growth, and it is an integral part of production . As a port is the interface between the maritime transport and domestic transport sectors, it certainly plays a key role in any economic development. Therefore, it is doubtless that inadequacy of a nation's port will depress the level of throughput, to the level where it fails to meet the target set by the national economic planning schemes. Korea is surrounded by the seas and the economic structure of Korea consists of processing trades, so that it cannot be overstated that substantial economy in maritime transport coasts can be achieved through the improvement of the port transport system. This paper treats the transportation process in Pusan Port by Queueing Simulation method, and the reasonable size of Pusan Port is suggested from the point of view of efficiency maximization. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows; 1) the utility rate is 47.91 percents in general piers, 85-52 percents in container piers, and waiting time 5.2hrs, in general piers, 0.8 hrs, in container piers, and the probability of maximum queue length 12 ships in general piers, 2 ships in container piers, and the probability of waiting is 44 percents in general piers, 8 percents in container pier. 2) in general piers, the improvement of app. 30 percents in port capacity is desirable for operating effectively concerning the current arrival rate. By introducing the traffic control ion container piers, there is no apparent necessity of port investment, but I is expected to reduce invisible congestion occurred along the waiting line. 3) On Pusan Port, the optimal utility rate and the optimal arrival rate for reducing waiting time are 3.5 to 4.0(hrs./ship) in general piers, 5.1 to 6.0(hrs./ship) in container piers.

돌발적인 도착이 있는 우선순위 이산 큐잉 모델 (A discrete Time Priority Queueing Model with Bursty Arrivals)

  • 이 논문에서는 서비스 우선순위가 다른 2개의 독자적인 입력 스트림을 가지는 큐잉 모델을 연구하였다. 구체적으로 head-of-line 우선 순위가 적용되는 IBP+BP/D/I시스템을 분석하였는데, 여기에는 IBP는 Interrupted Bernoulli Process를 BP는 Bernoulli Process를 표시한다. BP 스트립은 IBP 스트립에 대하여 서비스 우선권을 가진다. 본 논문은 이 우선 순위 큐에 대하여 시스템 상태의 안정상태분포와 각 클래스 별 고객의 대기 시간분포 및 출발시간 간격분포를 구할 수 잇는 정확한 분석방법을 제공하고 있다. 우선 순위가 다른 두 입력스트림의 다양한 파라미터들이 시스템의 성능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 보여줄 수 있는 수치적 예들도 제시하였다.

사례분석을 활용한 시공단계 BIM 인력 투입 성과 분석 (Performance Analysis of BIM Labor using Case Analysis)

  • BIM is effective to improve the labor productivity of construction participants. From this point of view, it is important to analyze the outcome related with BIM Labor which covers most of the BIM investment costs. This research focuses on BIM RFI which is one of the major task of the BIM labor and analyze the outcomes. In addition, this research was quantitatively analyzed by the standby time and related cost caused by BIM labor, which affect the results of the project participants. To this end, analytical standby queue model was utilized to analyze the labor focusing on micros TASK. 11 projects were selected to analyze the results of BIM labor and RFI that the project participants requested to the BIM labor was collected. Through this, it collected variables for analyzing results, and Finally, we pulled out 4 projects for analysis. In this study, the basic results analysis of RFI processing of the BIM labor, the probabilistic analysis of BIM labor service status, and the economic analysis of BIM labor optimal inputs were performed by using the research model presented. The results of this study can be utilized to formulate the optimal strategy for BIM labor inputs(e.g. number of employees, level, time point, etc.) of the construction phase. Moreover, it can contribute to ensuring the credibility of the BIM ROI results by presenting the cost of BIM services in BIM ROI analysis and the standby cost of project participants.

국내 교통여건을 고려한 자전거전용신호 도입방안 연구 (A Study on Introduction of Bike Exclusive Signal Focused on Traffic Condition)

  • 자전거도로가 설치된 교차로 빛 횡단도로에서 자전거, 차량 및 보행자 간에 상충이 발생하게 된다. 이와 같이 자전거 도로와 여타 교통류가 교차되는 구간에서 자전거와 자동차, 자전거와 보행자와의 상충을 분리해주어야 하는데, 이런 방법 중 하나가 자전거전용신호라고 할 수 있다 자전거도로 시설 및 이용자 특성조사에 따르면 자전거도로가 횡단보도와 연 계하여 설치되어 있고, 자전거이용자 대부분이 횡단보도신호를 이용하고 있으며, 횡단보도시간 내에 횡단을 종료하는 것으로 조사되었다. 따라서 횡단보도와 자전거도로가 인접된 자전거횡단도로에서는 보행신호등과 연계한 운영방안 즉, 영국의 TOUCAN Crossing 형태의 적용이 제안된다. 이와 같은 자전거전용신호 운영체계는 현재 자전거횡단도로의 위치가 횡단보도와 인접하여 설치되어 있고, 대부분의 자전거이용자들이 보행신호에 따라 도로를 횡단하고 있으며, 보행선호시간동안 횡단할 수 있기 때문이다. 반면에 자전거횡단도로가 보행도로와 이격되어 설치된 경우 및 자전거의 통행속도 등을 고려하여 전용도로 형태로 자전거도로가 설치된 경우에는 차량신호와 연계한 자전거신호등 형태 (3색 등화체계)가 제안된다. 이와 같은 자전거신호등의 운영형태는 기존 자전거도로 시설과 자전거이용자의 도로횡단특성을 수용하고, 교통 신호제어기의 기능변경 없이 신호시간의 조정만으로 적용이 가능한 이점이 있다.
