Although improper integrals constitute a concept of great utility for Mathematics students, it appears that students are unable to assimilate this concept within the wider system of concepts they learn in their first year of Mathematics studies. In this paper we describe a competence model used in a study about the kind of understanding students possess about improper integral calculus when two registers of representation come into play. Competence will be considered as the coherent articulation of different semiotic registers. After analysing the results of a questionnaire, six students were selected to be interviewed on the basis of their overall results and the significance of their answers. For the interview, five original questions from the questionnaire were used together with a new question. In this article we will analyse, from our theoretical point of view, the work carried out by one student who was interviewed to show how our competence model works and we will discuss this formal competence model used.

While the appearance of new textiles and processing materials results in the improvement in quality of clothes and its luxury, a question about the irritation of clothes on the human body must be raised. In Japan and many countries in Europe, they are searching for a countermeasure against the bad influence of clothes on the human body for the purpose of protecting consumers. In our country, a little bit of study about the skin irritatio has been carried out. In this thesis, the literature on the kinds of the irritation of clothes on the human body was studied and analysed. And then I arranged it from the view-point of clothing hygienics. For example, we should observe the legal regulations and the administrative control in the process of production and distributive management of clothes for our safety. Therefore the authorities concerned must have preparations for the safety and this monograph is going to give information for it.

In the literature the problem of the topology optimization of the structure is usually solved for one, clearly described from the mechanical point of view material. Generally the topology optimization answers the question of the distribution of this mentioned above material within the design domain. Finally, material-voids distribution it is obtained. In this paper, for the structure mainly strengthened or sometimes weakened by the inclusions, the variation approach of the topology optimization problem is formulated. This multi material approach may be useful for the design process of various mechanical or civil engineering structures which need to be more "refined" and more "optimal" than they can be using previous topology optimization procedures of optimization one material structures.

Deep comprehension of basic mathematical notions and concepts is a basic condition of a successful teaching. Some elements of algebraic thinking belong to the elementary school mathematics. The question "What stays the same and what changes?" link arithmetic problems with algebraic conception of variable. We have studied beliefs and comprehensions of future elementary school mathematics teachers on early algebra. Pre-service teachers from three academic pedagogical colleges deal with mathematical problems from the pre-algebra point of view, with the emphasis on changes and invariants. The idea is that the intensive use of non-formal algebra may help learners to construct a better understanding of fundamental ideas of arithmetic on the strong basis of algebraic thinking. In this article the study concerning arithmetic series is described. Considerable number of pre-service teachers moved from formulas to deep comprehension of the subject. Additionally, there are indications of ability to apply the conception of change and invariance in other mathematical and didactical contexts.

The task evaluating science and technology is becoming more important in every country trying to develop and improve overall national R&D capability in an effort to sustain national prosperity and public welfare. However, the way in which evaluation organisation is approached in each country may differ from nation to nation reflecting national R&D systems and S&T policies as well as the specific roles of scientists and policy- makers at various levels. Over the past two decades or so, Korean evaluation system has been transplanted form the West and they modified, In addition, Korea borrowed elements from the Japanese. Whether such systems have been well rooted in our specific circumstances is a critical question. In this context, it would be meaningful to diagnoses the current Korean evaluation system and also makes some suggestions for improving this system. For this purpose, this paper also attempts to approach to the theoretical aspects of evaluation as a starting-point.

The purpose of this study is to research on the actual condition for remodelling of front balcony In Apartment residence. It is analysed the theorical study, Question research and the point at issue of balcony space. The results were as follows : First, it has lowered the practical use of balcony space. The resolution at issue need the plan with demand of dwellers. Second, it is classified three categories about demand of dwellers : the space of nature ＆ ecology, utility and finally rest like living function. This study starts from the question about the possibility of landscape, especially the possibility to give a new vision in the aspect of publicity. Such a concept of landscape architecture made its appearance in the last decade of the 20th century, as the flexible network to include the changes and the specificity of the surroundings, which simultaneously focuses on the temporality-the uncertainty. Moreover landscape architecture can be defined as the architecture in which the interest on human activities lie in the center of the concept. By analyzing concrete examples, the landscape architecture can be defined in 3 aspects : unity of building and nature, void and public space, space of expansion. As a result of the analysis of landscape architects' statements, it can be said that the issues of publicity are always put at the starting point of landscape architecture with its attention to the way to associate an individual with the others.

The prime objective set for paper is to identify what are the women seafarers' problems and concerns regarding employment on cargo ships. From the cargo ship point of view, the question then is how to provide sufficient solutions for women seafarers in the male-dominated workplace of the ship through Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) activities. The methodologies of study combine qualitative and quantitative research methods. The progress of research is to conduct a survey by asking a consistent set of key opinion leaders from the Republic of Korea. Moreover, to evaluate the elements of the result, the research explores the way in which we should consider giving priority to aspects of the problem. Finally, based on the terms of CSR, the author recommends measures to support the needs of women when they are employed onboard the world's merchant vessels.

In many circumstances, it is desired to move a mass from one position to another without inducing any vibration in the mass being moved. Two such problems are considered here: the motion of a pendulum initiated by the specified motion of its support. In each case, it is desired that the system start at rest and come to rest in the second position. A simple strategy for the specified motion is given here. The method is motivated by engine cam-follower design. The force required to move the system in question is determined as well as the maximum value of the force required (and the times at which these forces take place) is determined.
