To build an efficient Question-Answering (QA) system, a question type classifier is needed. It can classify user's queries into predefined categories regardless of the surface form of a question. In this paper, we propose a question type classifier using a Support Vector Machine (SVM). The question type classifier first extracts features like lexical forms, part of speech and semantic markers from a user's question. The system uses $X^2$ statistic to select important features. Selected features are represented as a vector. Finally, a SVM categorizes questions into predefined categories according to the extracted features. In the experiment, the proposed system accomplished 86.4% accuracy The system precisely classifies question type without using any rules like lexico-syntactic patterns. Therefore, the system is robust and easily portable to other domains.
WBI (Web-Based Instruction), a web-based tool for teaching the students at a long distance, makes possible to Interact between learners and instructors, provides a wide variety of learning materials, has an advantage of overcoming spatial constraints. In this paper, as a model of using the web for education, a web-based education-evaluation system has been designed and implemented. Web-based education-evaluation system has to be equipped with both of the online setting question mode and the upload setting question mode, the former makes questions on web and the latter uploads the setted questions on offline with settling a defeat of the existing systems on setting questions. And the system has to be equipped with the function of analyzing the questions that gives teacher several kinds of analysis information and makes possible to feedback to questions by adjusting the difficulty and revising the questions. In this paper, a system that reflects the above requirements has been designed and implemented with PHP script language and MySQL database system.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the influential factors to home management ability of mothers and their unmarried daughters through researching the relationship of their home management ability. It would provide the basic data for the direction of Home Economics Education. The subjects were 653, from 20 to 30 years of unmarried women and their mothers in Chonbuk province. The questionaire was used to measure their Home Management ability. The measured areas were planing, creativity, consumption management, housework, evaluation, and human relation. The question items were respectively 6 and totally 36. Spss was used for the statistic. Frequency, Percentage, Means, Standard Deviation were used for general understanding. For data analysis, F-test, Pearson Product-moment Correlation, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Stepwise Multi-regression Analysis were used. Lastly, the research pattern was examined by Path Analysis. The results were as follows. 1. The importnat influential factors to mother's home management ability were their schooling level and their perceived socio-economic status among the general factors(age, shooling level, perceived socio-economic status) and the family atmosphere factors(monthly income, family type). 2. The important influential factors of unmarried daughter's home management ability were the monthly income of their family and the socio-economic status perceived by them, among their mother's general factors, family atmohphere factors, their own general factors(age, schooling level, perceived socio-economics status, occupation, growing place). 3. The influence of mother's home management ability on unmarried daughter's home management ability was much more remarkable than mother's general factors, family atmosphere factors and unmarried daughter's general factors.
The purpose of this study is to explore directions for improvement of teaching at college of engineering based on analysis of differences from course evaluation of students and instructors. Data was collected from 86 instructors' ratings on courses and their 3004 students' ratings on courses at college of engineering in a two-year, a three-year college and a University from 2010 to 2013. The results of the survey indicate significant differences in the statistics from the several questions between the instructors and the students as well as between the course in a two-year, a three-year college and in a University. First, instructors' self evaluation of the course is higher than students' satisfaction ratings of the course on the average. Instructors' self evaluation are high on the questions 'The subject was proper for the course', 'The course provided the latest theory and trend of the field', and 'Fairness and objectivity about the exams and the assignments'. Also, the difference between Instructors and students on the questions is significant in the statistics. The professor must make sure that students know well how to organize the course content and the method for feedback to test result and homework. Second, instructors have higher satisfaction ratings on the six questions and students have higher satisfaction ratings on the one question('Make students participate in the class effectively') at a two-year and a three-year college. However, students have higher satisfaction ratings on the three questions('Make students participate in the class effectively', 'Concern about students' learning process', and 'Use of E-learning and media equipments') and instructors have higher satisfaction ratings on the one question. It means instructors at a University feel pressure on a teaching and they are unsatisfied with their teaching skills. Third, the result of comparing six parts of the questions shows that students' satisfaction ratings are higher on 'Students participation' and 'Application of media equipments' parts whereas instructors' self evaluation are higher on 'Exams and assignments' part. Fourth, the question 'Make students participate in the class effectively' is significant in statistic based on comparison of instructors and students, and comparison of in a college and a University. Students' satisfaction ratings are higher than instructors' self evaluation.
Objective : Doctors who treat women in childbed have to pay attention to postpartum blues and depression which women in childbed can suffer from, as well as recovery of physical function. Methods : Subjects were 107 females who admitted in Woosuk Hospital of Oriental Medicine from September, 2000 to October, 2001 and made out the question paper within 10 days after delivery. The paper included EPDS(Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale) and many items known to be the factors related to postpartum blues and depression. Results : The rate of postpartum depression assessed by EPDS was 16.8%. As the result of analysis, there were significant statistic corelations between each group assessed by EPDS and age parity relation with husband yes or no living with parents-in-law. But there were no significant corelations between each group assessed by EPDS and education religion yes or no occupation delivery method sex of infant marriage type yes or no rearing the infant. Conclusions : We recognized that insufficiency- of delivery experience and stress due to bad adaptation after delivery are possible to be risk factors of postpartum blues and depression. More research should be taken on the corelation between postpartum depression and yes or no living with parents-in-law, because this result is opposite to the trouble between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. In addition, more research is needed on corelation between physical condition, oriental-diagnosis of women in childbed and postpartum depression.
This study raised a question about 'how user's psychological value consciousness influences design evaluation and evaluated 14 product samples. Three main categories were chosen to be analyzed; product evaluation by step, value consciousness toward products, and creation of shape image and design evaluation. In order to obtain results, four research hypotheses were established a and case study was conducted as part of 'conclusive research' for verification. 120 university students in their 20s majoring in product design were chosen as testees in a bid to increase the accuracy of data. With data collected, the whole flow was analyzed by simple tabulation and further analysis was carried out in three evaluation items. An analysis method was mainly quantitative, focusing on multivariate analysis like factor analysis, cluster analysis, etc. The empirical analysis of this study was verified at P<.05 significance level and SPSSWIN 12.0 program was used for statistic process. As a result, four conclusions were gained regarding 'user's value consciousness toward products and pattern of design evaluation'.
The purposes of this study is to supply information on the most common and generalized purchasing conditions of suits in China by surveying male customers from Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian, Tianjin, Harbin and Guangzhou with ages from 20's to 40's. Statistic data from the questionnaire was analyzed by SPSS 10.0 for windows and the analyzing method was processed by descriptive statistics, cross analysis and dispersed analysis and for verifying similarities, t-test and $\chi^2$-test were used. The results could be summarized as follows; First, Purchasing places for suits were stores specializing in men's wear, department stores and reasons for purchasing suits were 'For business' and 'Change of season'. Two, for purchasing information provider, television worked as the key source of providing purchasing information and outdoor advertisement, for main influence of purchasing, the consumers answered that they are the key decision makers and replied their wife or girlfriend's opinion as the answer. Three, for number of suits in possession, answered three suits followed by more than five suits and for the purchasing period, the consumers chose one suit per year or every 6month. Four, according to the questionnaire on prices, colors, fabrics and styles of suits they buy, the consumers pay between 1,000 and 1,999RMB per suit and for the colors, black, dark gray and deep blue. For the choice of fabrics, said pure wool. For the styles of the suits, answered single three buttons. Five, the result from a question on the level of satisfaction shows 'satisfied', 'average' and 'very satisfied' with the purchase.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to supply basic data to establish new image for dental technicians by reflecting onto the education of dental technicians by grasping the image of dental technicians with the subjects of students in department of dental technology. Methods: It was studied with self-filling-in method through structured questionnaire from September 26, to October 21, 2011, with 421 subjects of the students in the department of dental technology in two colleges in Daegu. SPSS 18.0 for Windows was used to analyze the data, and frequency and percentage were used for statistic analysis, and correlation analysis and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis were used with mean and SD per each question. Results: It showed the highest recognition that the dental technicians is a 'specialist' as 4.66; the dental technicians has strong responsibility in his work as 4.42; the dental technicians takes an important role in improvement of public oral health as 4.39; and the dental technicians has professional intelligence and high technique as 4.33. So, it was found that they had image of professional and important role for oral health, and had their pride and selfconfidence as future dental technicians. Meanwhile, it showed that they had negative related-image as well as a job, that the dental technicians is too busy as 4.48; it requires improvement on image in the future as 4.27; it is a hard job with too much stress as 4.13. Conclusion: It is required for us and school to have continuous change and effort to make the students in the department of dental technology have positive mind for the dental technology to make them have pride for their job.
Purpose: Firefighters were subjected to be exposed to 24-hour shiftwork and high level of job stress, but there is little study of fire fighters about between Job Stress and Psychological stress in Korea. This study was performed to evaluate job stress of fire fighters grouped by different job types and analyze the health effect of job stress by using a PWI-SF(Psycho-social Well-being Index, Short Form). Methods : This study was to measure the degree of job stress and socio-psychological stress of firefighters working at 119 safety center and analyze the relationship between job stress and mental health, through self-administered questionnaire survey on 918 fire fighters working at fire department located in Korea, during October in 2008. Question items of the questionnaire consist of general characteristics, job stress, and socio-psychological stress. Job Stress Measurement Scale for Koreans was used to measure job stress, while PWI-SF used for socio-psychological stress. Collected data was analyzed through frequency analysis, ${\chi}^2$ test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, multi-regression analysis using a statistic program, SPSS/10.0 Ver for Windows, and statistical significance level was 0.05. Result : Accordingly, this paper is written for the purpose of scrutinizing the reason of 119 rescuers' job stress and Socio-Psychological stress. This thesis tries to analyze a problem and provide contents through many variables concerned and theoretical investigation with the actual research of questionnaire. The results of the study are summarized as follows : Fire fighters feel relatively high stressful in their performance. Job stress, organizational commitment and burnout did not have been influence upon by individual cases such as economic condition, regular exercise etc. Finally, as a result of step by step regression analysis, the variable that can explain Socio-Psychological stress the best was negative emotion scale(NE). Conclusions : It is necessary to conduct repeated studies in the future, since the study implied that there was a contrary relationship between job stress and socio-psychological stress. In order to reduce job stress and maintain better mental health, it is more important than anything else to help firefighters have willingness and efforts to sustain a healthy life, so the development of various programs and education to raise their awareness should be implemented.
This study is to improve fire-fighter's mental health by examining the relationship between fire-fighter's resilience and PTSD. The research question of the present study are follows. First, is there any relationship between fire-fighter's demographics and PTSD. Second, is there any relationship between fire-fighter's demographics and resilience. Third, is there any relationship between fire-fighter's resilience and PTSD. The instruments for collecting data of the study were KRO-53 and IES-R-K. These tests were administrated to all of the subjects of the study. The results of the study are as follows. First, fire-fighter's demographics except for department have an influence on PTSD. Second, fire-fighter's counselling experience has an influence on resilience. Third, fire-fighter's resilience has an influence on PTSD. Specially, self-regulation of resilience subtypes has an influence on PTSD. From the above results, The study proposed the following; to prevent PTSD, It is necessary to have specific working system, have specific counseling system, consider individual resilience in selecting fire-fighter and placing department.
