  • A tag collision arbitration algorithm for RFID passive tags is one of the important issues for fast tag identification, since reader and tag have a shared wireless channel in RFID system. This paper suggests Hyper-Hybrid Query Tree algorithm to prevent the tag-collisions. The suggested algorithms determine the specified point in time for tag to transfer ID to reader by using value 1 of the upper 3 bit based on Query Tree. Also, because the transferred upper 3 bits of tag is different depending on the time of transfer, it is possible to predict in the suggested Algorithm. In the performance evaluation through simulation, it shows the suggested algorithm has higher performance in the number of queries compared to other Tree-based protocols.

  • RFID Anti-Collision technique is needed to avoid collision problem caused by Radio interference between tags in the same RFID Reader area. It affects the performance and reliability of the RFID System. This paper propose the QT-CBP(Query Tree with Collision-Bit Positioning) Algorithm based on the QT(Query Tree) algorithm. QT-CBP Algorithm use precise collision bit position to improve the performance. We demonstrated the proposed algorithm by simulation. Our algorithm outperformed when each tag bit streams are the more duplicate and the number of tags is increased, compared with QT.

  • A range $Top-\kappa$ query returns top k records in order of a measure attribute within a specified region on multi-dimensional data, and it is a powerful tool for analysis in spatial databases and data warehouse environments. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for answering the query via selective traverse of a Hierarchical Max R-Tree(HMR-tree). It is possible to execute the query by accessing only a small part of the leaf nodes in the query region, and the query performance is nearly constant regardless of the size of the query region. The algorithm manages the priority queue efficiently to reduce cost of handling the queue and the proposed HMR-tree can guarantee the same fan-out as the original R-tree.

  • Performance of an algorithm can be mesaurde from serval aspects.Suppose thre is a query formulation al-gorithm.Even though this algorithm shows high retrival performance, ie, high recall and percision, retriveing items can rake a long time.In this study, we time complexity of automatic query reformulation algorithms, named the query Tree, DNF method, and Dillon's method, and comparethem in theoretical and practical aspects using a tral-time performance)the absolute times for each algorithm to fromulate a query)in a Sun SparcStation 2. In experiments using three test sets, CSCM, CISI, and Medlars, the query Tree algorithm was the fastest among the three algorithms tested.

  • This paper proposes a revised query tree algorithm in RFID systems. The proposed QT_ecfi algorithm revises the QT algorithm, which has a memory-less property. In the QT_ecfi algorithm, the tag will send the remaining bits of their identification codes when the query string matches the first bits of their identification codes. When the reader receives all the responses of the tags, it knows which bit is collided. If the collision occurs in the last bit, the reader can identify two tags simultaneously without further query. While the tags are sending their identification codes, if the reader detects a collision bit, it will send a signal to the tags to stop sending. According to the simulation results, the QT_ecfi algorithm outperforms the QT algorithm in terms of the number of queries and the number of response bits.

  • In RFID systems, the anti-collision algorithm is being improved to recognize Tag's ID within recognition area of the reader quickly and efficiently. This paper focuses on Tag collision. Many studies have been carried out to resolve Tag collision. This paper proposes a new N-ary Query Tree Algorithm to resolve more than Tag collision simultaneously, according to the value of m(2 ~ 6). This algorithm can identify more tags than existing methods by treating a maximum 6 bit collision, regardless of the continuation/non-continuation Tag's ID patterns. So, it extracts maximumly different $2^6$ bit patterns per single prefix in recognition process. The performance of N-ary Query Tree Algorithm is evaluated by theoretical analysis and simulation program.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) is a technology that automatically identifies objects containing the electronic tags by using radio wave. When there are some tags in the domain of the RFID reader, the mechanism that can solve a collision between the tags occurs is necessary. The multi tag identification problem is the core issue in the RFID and could be resolved by the anti-collision algorithm. However, RFID system has another problem. The problem id user information security. Tag response easily by query of reader, so the system happened user privacy violent problem by tag information exposure. In the case, RFID system id weak from sniffing by outside. In this paper, We study of security robustness for tree-walking algorithm, query tree algorithm and advanced query tree algorithm of tree based memoryless algorithm.

  • An anti-collision protocol which tries to minimize the collision probability and identification time is the most important factor in all identification technologies. This paper focuses on methods to improve the efficiency of tag's process in identification systems. Our scheme, Binary Slotted Query Tree (BSQT) algorithm, is a memoryless protocol that identifies an object's ID more efficiently by removing the unnecessary prefixes of the traditional Query Tree (QT) algorithm. With enhanced QT algorithm, the reader will broadcast 1 bit and wait the response from the tags but the difference in this scheme is the reader will listen in 2 slots (slot 1 is for 0 bit Tags and slot 2 is for 1 bit Tags). Base on the responses the reader will decide next broadcasted bit. This will help for the reader to remove some unnecessary broadcasted bits which no tags will response. Numerical and simulation results show that the proposed scheme decreases the tag identification time by reducing the overall number of request.

  • A range mosaic query returns distribution of data within the query region as a pattern of mosaic, whereas a range aggregate query returns a single aggregate value of data within the query region. The range mosaic query divides a query region by a multi-dimensional grid, and calculates aggregate values of grid cells. In this paper, we propose a new type of query, range mosaic query and a new operator, mosaic-by, with which the range mosaic queries can be represented. In addition, we suggest efficient algorithms for processing range mosaic queries using an aggregate R-tree. The algorithm that we present computes aggregate results of every mosaic grid cell by one time traversal of the aggregate R-tree, and efficiently executes the queries with only a small number of node accesses by using the aggregate values of the aggregate R-tree. Our experimental study shows that the range mosaic query algorithm is reliable in terms of performance for several synthetic datasets and a real-world dataset.

  • This paper proposes a QT_rev algorithm for identifying multiple tags. The proposed QT_rev algorithm is based on the query tree algorithm. In the algorithm, the tag will send all the bits of their identification codes when the query string matches the first bits of their identification codes. On the other hand, in the QT_rev algorithm, the tag will send the remaining bits of their identification codes. After the leader receives all the responses of the tags, it knows which bit is collided. Therefore, if the collision occurs in the last bit, the reader can identify two tags simultaneously without further query. According to the simulation results, the QT_rev algorithm outperforms the QT algorithm in terms of the number of queries and the number of response bits.
