이 글의 목적은 캐나다 퀘벡(Quebec)의 영화감독 소피 데라스페의 작품 <안티고네>(2019)에 대한 서사구조, 영화미학, 주제의식에 대한 작품분석을 통해 퀘벡사회와 맺는 사회맥락적 의미를 규명하는데 있다. 본 연구를 위해 '작가구조주의'와 '문화연구'라는 두 가지 층위의 연구방법론을 도입하였다. 이를 통해, 첫째, 소피 데라스페 감독은 퀘벡의 문화적 정체성을 재현하는 '퀘벡성'을 가진 작가주의 감독이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 둘째, 서사구조에서는 소포클레스의 원작 '안티고네'를 알레고리 삼아 21세기 퀘벡의 이주민 집단과 차별문제를 현대적으로 각색한 특징을 갖고 있으며, 셋째, 영화미학적 측면에서는 인서트, SNS, 환타지와 같은 가상의 미장센을 통해 극적 효과를 부여하고 있으며, 넷째, 주제에서는 민족에 근거한 과거의 정체성을 '개방성과 혼종성'이라는 보편적 가치로 확장하고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. <안티고네>는 퀘벡영화의 '이주 글쓰기' 전통을 계승하면서, 글로벌 시대의 보편적 가치관인 '혼종적 정체성'을 추구하며 퀘벡영화를 재영토화해 나가는 '뉴 퀘벡 시네마(New Quebec Cinema)'의 새로운 흐름을 상징하는 작품이다.

Mechanical fibres are commonly characterized by measuring their length distribution and freeness. These parameters, however, do not adequately characterize the influence of refining on their mechanical properties. In this work we conducted multiple compression on fibre mats prepared from different length fractions (Bauer McNet fractions) to generate stress-strain curves from which several quality parameters can be derived such as modulus, stress and toughness. We found that these characteristics of fibre are strongly influenced by the refining energy used to produce pulp; fibres of similar length exhibit different mechanical properties depending on the refining energy6 consumption.

Soon after joining the Canadian Confederation in 1867, the province of Quebec adopted the phrase Je me souviens ("As I recall") as its 'national' motto, although many Qu?b?cois do not remember today what they were supposed to memorize, as collective subject, when their government voted this motion. My thesis is that contrary to other countries which have a strong sense of history based on a secular tradition, this process was more complicated in Quebec - as if a collective memory loss lied at the heart of it's history. Through a rereading of Hubert Aquin's cult novel, Trou de m?moire (in its English translation Blackout), first published in 1968, I try to illustrate this paradox and to emphasize the heuristic functions of memory blanks, gaps and lapses in certain postmodern narratives, after the historical breakdown of "the great narratives" (Lyotard). In this perspective, the example of Quebec, through the voice of one of its more gifted yet controversial novelist, can be seen as emblematic of what happens when the mnemonic impossibility of rewriting history opens up new possibilities for writing fiction.

Background: As of now, the impact of low back pain (LBP) and its chronic state, chronic low back pain (CLBP), on mental health-related quality of life (HRQOL) has never been investigated among police officers. The present investigation aims at studying this relationship using a biopsychosocial model. Methods: Between May and October 2014, a Web-based cross-sectional study was conducted among Quebec police officers (Quebec, Canada). Mental HRQOL was measured using the role emotional (RE) and the mental health (MH) domains of the SF-12v2 Health Survey. The impact of CLBP on mental HRQOL (as opposed to acute/subacute LBP or no LBP) was studied with a multivariate linear regression model. Results: Of the 3,589 police officers who participated in the study, 1,013 (28.4%) reported CLBP. The mean age of respondents was $38.5{\pm}8.7years$, and 32.0% were females. The RE (44.1/100) and MH (49.0/100) mean scores of the CLBP group were comparable with the scores found in populations suffering from cancer or heart diseases. Compared to officers without LBP, the presence of CLBP was significantly associated with lower RE (${\beta}$: -0.068; p = 0.003) and MH (${\beta}$: -0.062; p = 0.002) scores. These relationships were not found in the acute/subacute LBP group. Conclusion: Our results underscore how frequent CLBP is among police officers and how burdensome it is. Considering the importance of good physical and mental health for this occupational population, police organizations should be aware of this issue and contribute to the efforts toward CLBP prevention and management in the workplace.

The availability of a high quality open source CFD simulation platform like OpenFOAM offers new R&D opportunities by providing direct access to models and solver implementation details. Efforts have been made by Hydro-Qu$\'{e}$bec to adapt OpenFOAM to hydroturbines for the development of steady-state capabilities. This paper describes the developments that have been made to implement new turbomachinery related capabilities: multiple frames of reference solver, domain coupling interfaces (GGI, cyclicGGI and mixing plane) and specialized boundary conditions. Practical use of the new turbomachinery capabilities are demonstrated for the analysis of a 195-MW Francis turbine.

In this paper, we obtain some generalized symmetry identities involving a unified class of polynomials related to the generalized Bernoulli, Euler and Genocchi polynomials of higher-order attached to a Dirichlet character. In particular, we prove a relation between a generalized X version of the power sum polynomials and this unified class of polynomials.

Premixes treated with a binder, such as in the FLOMET process, exhibit better flow, reduced dusting and segregation and improved productivity and part consistency compared to conventional premixes. The binder treatment is highly suitable for high performance P/M applications which often require premixes containing very fine alloying additives and excellent die filling characteristics. With this process, various binders and lubricants can be utilized in order to make premixes with unique properties. In this paper, the characteristics and performances of bonded premixes are reported.
