Characteristics of noise generated during treatment in dental clinic

  • In this paper, we proposed of the results of the noise level and appropriate conversation distance by applying the noise characteristics generated during treatment at a dental clinic to the NR-curve and PSIL. As a result of analyzing the noise characteristics during treatment at a dental clinic, it was analyzed that the noise level exceeded 60dB(A), which is the health preservation limit value caused by noise, and the noise level increased as the frequency increased. the result of evaluation applying it to the NR curve, some treatment exceeded the workplace noise standard, and as a result of analyzing the level of conversational disturbance between the worker and the patient, it is desirable to have the conversation at a distance of less than 1M for accurate communication. In order to improve the quality of medical service in dental clinic and to reduce dental fear, it is judged that soundproofing protective equipment is provided to workers, and soundproofing measures are needed for noise sources (treatment devices used in treatment) and sound sources (patients and workers).

  • Life log started with the simple purpose of recording or sharing mainly data regarding one's personal life, but with the introduction of advanced specialized analytic methods by many corporations, a new type of business based on the life log recently emerged, with an aim of improving the quality of people's personal lives. In spite of the indispensable advantages, however, personal health lifelog service brings critical challenges that cannot be avoided from user side if the security of the data is concerned. The problem of user's privacy infringement and leaking user's sensitive medical information is increasing with the revitalization of personal health lifelog services. In this paper, we propose an information security reference model for the personal health lifelog services. Our proposal can contribute to increase the related industry to cultivate new market by suggesting the clear announcement of the guidelines using privacy protection reference model for user-specific healthcare services which uses personal lifelog.

Analysis of th Factors related to the Happiness Index of Dental Hygienists on Convergence Study (치과위생사의 행복지수에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 융합연구)

  • This study was conducted to provide basic data on the dental hygienists Happiness Index and identify factors influencing dental hygienists A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted dental hygienists in Jeollabuk-do(Jeonju, Iksan, Gunsan) from October to November 2017. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression. As the result of study, Happiness Index of socioeconomic level has increased when the more work career, and more monthly wage, and better interpersonal relationship. Happiness Index of psychological well-being has increased when younger group and more monthly wage, and better interpersonal relationship. Therefore, in order to increase the happiness index of dental hygienists, economic compensation such as incentives and if the education of the communication method of the cases where the most difficulty case of the communication situation in the human relationship is confirmed is preceded, the quality of the medical service provided to the patient due to the happy working life will be improved.

A Comparative Study on the Forest Therapy Policies of Japan and Korea (일본과 한국의 산림치유사업과 육성정책의 비교·연구)

  • Japan and Korea have developed forest therapy policies, but their policies differ in several respects. First, Forest therapy projects are managed by local governments and residents in Japan, while they are operated by Korea Forest Service. Second, Japan adopts the certification system of forest therapy areas, emphasizes medical and scientific evidences, maintains the quality of forest therapy by inducing competitive participation of local governments and residents, and cultivates forest therapists through Forest Therapy Society. In contrast, Korea has adopted the licence system, improved institutional framework, and cultivated therapists, but it is at early stage. Third, Japanese forest therapy policy aims at regional development of the mountain villages, overlapping with other local policies. However, in Korea, the primary policy goal is to expand forest services and thereby having its own policy framework and being promoted strongly.

A Comparative Study on Hospital Choice Factors between First-visit and Revisit patients in General Hospitals (초진과 재진환자의 종합병원 선택요인 비교분석)

  • The purposes of this study is to analysis the differences of the hospital choice factors between first-visit and revisit patients in general hospitals. The samples used for data analysis are 499 outpatients of G, H, S, U hospitals using a standardized questionnaires in 4 provinces. In case of first-visit patients, human, effectiveness and accessibility factors were found to have a significant positive(+) effect on hospital choice factors. In case of revisit patients, human, physical, accessibility, image of hospital and salary factors were found to have a significant positive(+) effect on hospital choice factors. Based on these results, this study suggests implications to improve customer satisfaction, profitability and provide a high-quality medical service by making effectively use of planning strategies of hospital management with a variety of factors.

The Effects of Hospital Choice Factors on Customer Satisfaction and Revisiting Intention in General Hospitals (병원선택 요인이 고객만족과 재이용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study verified empirically and analyzed systematically how the hospital choice factors of visitors in general hospitals influence customer satisfaction and revisiting intention. As a survey way for hypothesis verification of this study, we took a direct survey for 4 weeks(June 1 to June 28, 2014) to the outpatients and their guardians visiting the three general hospitals in Busan, Ulsan, Gyeong-nam. For the survey we distributed a total of 550 questionnaire and used the final 519 of them in verifying this research model except unreliable 31 data. The result showed that human element, accessibility element and public image of hospital choice factors effected on the customer satisfaction, but physical and effectiveness factors did not effect on it. And, the only public image factor of hospital choice factors have a good effect on the revisiting intention. Also, it influenced between customer satisfaction and revisiting intention, so it is proved that the customer satisfaction is a important factor to revisiting intention. The hospitals should promote a hospital policy to connect with customer satisfaction and income growth and provide a high-quality medical service by making effectively use of planning priority strategies of hospital management with a variety of factors.

  • Nowadays medical treatment service increase due to ageing population and improving the quality of life. Accordingly it is predicted that drug discovery market will expansion continuously. Therefore it is necessary that profit creation by drug discovery on the global market is important. HCS(High Contents Screening) has been emerging as a potential method to solve problems of the present drug discovery. This research is about liquid dispenser for HCS. The purpose of this research is to manufacture high performance liquid dispenser for HCS. The dispenser is designed to control 5 liquids separately. The liquid contact parts are designed disposably, biocompatibly and chemically inertly. Air curtain is equipped at the side of tip to dispense very small liquid volume and to prevent hanging drop on tip. Valving is performed by just controlling the pressure of the pressure driven pump without valve.

  • In order to acquire new information and biological meaning of the signal data by defining the relationships between them, new modeling technique, ontology, has been proposed. The data of bio-signal can be represented as a systematic and logical to manage continuously bio-signal data using ontology. Furthermore, knowledge of which resources are utilized to provide improved service quality in medical information, health services in various fields. However, relevant studies have not been performed actively to compare importance of relationships between bio-signals. Therefore semantic representation of biometric information should be by defining the relationship between bio-signals. In this paper, we have developed bio-signal ontology to use as a model for using domain knowledge. We verified the usefulness of the ontology by using scenarios.

Effect of Gratitude Training Program on Dental Hygiene Students' Gratitude Disposition, Self-Esteem, and Happiness

  • The purpose of this study was to examine whether a gratitude training program for preservice dental hygienists affects their gratitude disposition, self-esteem, and happiness. Dental hygiene students were recruited from a college in D and administered a pretest. The 76 selected participants were primarily those who had never written a gratitude journal. Participants were then randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group. Three participants failed to complete the program, leaving 73 subjects in the final analysis. Data were analyzed using the ${\chi}^2$ test, independent sample t-test, and analysis of covariance. The mean gratitude disposition score improved from $31.11{\pm}5.55$ in the pretest to $34.41{\pm}4.38$ in the posttest in the experimental group and from $31.44{\pm}4.41$ to $32.06{\pm}4.63$ in the control group. The mean self-esteem score improved from $31.22{\pm}4.03$ to $33.16{\pm}3.44$ in the experimental group and from $30.53{\pm}4.42$ to $30.97{\pm}3.80$ in the control group. The mean happiness score improved from $19.54{\pm}2.64$ to $21.78{\pm}2.43$ in the experimental group and from $19.64{\pm}3.32$ to $20.08{\pm}2.91$ in the control group. All of the participants improved their gratitude disposition, self-esteem, and happiness scores while participating in the gratitude training program, and it is expected that if such positive emotions can be sustained, they will naturally acquire the basic requirements of dental hygienists and build a better vocational consciousness and a higher sense of duty, as well as have a further positive effect on the quality of dental medical service. Further studies should be conducted to propose a concrete plan to expand and operate this gratitude training program more effectively.

A Study On the Healthcare Technology Trends through Patent Data Analysis (특허 데이터 분석을 통한 헬스케어 기술 트렌드 연구)

  • In a social environment where population aging is rapidly progressing, the healthcare service market is growing fast with the increasing interest in health and quality of life based on rising income levels and the evolution of technology. In this study, after keywords were extracted from Korean and US patent data published on KIPRIS from 2000 to October 2019, frequency analysis, time series analysis, and keyword network analysis were performed. Through this, the change of technology trends were identified, which keywords related to healthcare was shifted from traditional medical words to ICT words. In addition, although the keywords in Korean patents are 55% similar to those in the US, they show an absolute gap in patent production volume. In the next study, we will analyze various data such as domestic and international research and can obtain meaningful implications in the global market on the identified keywords.
