건설작업 자동화를 위한 실시간위치추적시스템 분석 (A Technical Analysis of Real Time Location System for Automation in Construction)

  • Due to its high dependency of manpower, construction work has several difficulties in terms of quality control, imbalance of supply and demand of qualified manpower, safety management for them and improvement of production. Such problems related to the management can be at some degree solved by introducing an automation facility. Since the unique environment of a construction site in the past was not structured, it is very hard to introduce a facility to automate construction work from operation of the equipment to assignment of where to work. This is a preliminary research for automation of construction work. In this study, the trend of development of a cutting-edge technology, RTLS, was researched and analyzed in order to review the possibility of utilizing RTLS in construction work and present a control mechanism for construction equipment. Although the presented mechanism is at the concept stage, which still has lots of restrictions to be solved, the application of the RTLS will be very much feasible. That is, if linkage of the study between the RTLS and the automation of construction is built, it will be expected to contribute to many fields such as cost reduction through efficient and systemic management, the reduction of construction period and precise construction as well as raising the level of the automation of domestic construction work.

  • Increasing requirements for the high quality of industrial robot performance made the vibration control issue very important because the vibration makes it difficult to achieve quick response of robot motion and may bring mechanical damage to the robot. This paper presents the vibration mechanism of an industrial robot which has flexible joints. The joint flexibility of the robot is modeled as a two-mass system and its dynamic characteristics are analysed. And some characteristics of the two-mass system, especially for the joint of industrial robots, such as disturbance, non-linearity and time-varying characteristics are studied. And finally, some considerations on controller design for the flexible joint of industrial robots are discussed.

  • 본 논문에서는 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) 기반의 VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) 시스템에서 종단간 QoS(Quality of Service)를 보장하기 위한 시스템 구조와 제어 방법을 설계하고 구현하였다. VoIP 시스템의 하부망은 Intserv over Diffserv 구조를 적용하였고 망 차원의 QoS 보장을 위해 수락제어 기법을 이용하여 자원을 관리하도록 하였다. UA(User Agent)는 호 설정을 위하여 QoS 절차가 포함된 SIP를 사용하고 하부망 QoS 구조에 독립적으로 동작할 수 있도록 모듈화 하였다. 구현된 시스템은 실험을 통하여 QoS 제어된 VoIP 성능을 검증하였다.

Control Strategies for Multilevel APFs Based on the Windowed-FFT and Resonant Controllers

  • This paper presents control strategies for cascaded H-bridge multilevel active power filters (APFs). A current loop controller is implemented using a proportional-resonant (PR) regulator, which achieves zero steady-state error at target frequencies. The power balancing mechanism for the dc-link capacitor voltages is analyzed and a voltage balancing controller is presented. To mitigate the picket-fence effect of the conventional FFT algorithm under asynchronous sampling conditions, the Hanning Windowed-FFT algorithm is proposed for reference current generation (RCG). This calculates the frequency, amplitude and phase of individual harmonic components accurately and as a result, selective harmonic compensation (SHC) is achieved. Simulation and experimental results are presented, which verify the validity and effectiveness of the devised control algorithms.

  • ESR(ElectroSlag Remelting) Process is secondary fine process and melts steels by electric resistance heat and fines the melting steels by an appropriate solidification process parameters which affects the melting and solidification processes to get the high quality products. This paper describes a method to derive the mathematical model and analysis the dynamic characteristics for designing a controller of the ESR processes. The ESR process consists of a melting and solidificating processes and electrical system include the contact resistance mechanism. In this paper, we consider only the static relationship between inputs and outputs of the electric system because the dynamics of the electric system is so fast compared with the melting and solidificating processes which are analysed by using finite difference method. As the results, the fine processing in ESR is analysed and the process controller could be designed based on the process dynamic analysis.

  • The National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education plays a crucial role in education in Ukraine, as an independent entity creates and ensures quality standards of higher education, which allow to properly implement the educational policy of the state, develop the economy and society as a whole. The purpose of the article: to reveal the crucial role of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education to create quality management of higher education institutions, to show its mechanism as an independent entity that creates and ensures quality standards of higher education. and society as a whole. The mission of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education is to become a catalyst for positive changes in higher education and the formation of a culture of its quality. The strategic goals of the National Agency are implemented in three main areas: the quality of educational services, recognition of the quality of scientific results, ensuring the systemic impact of the National Agency. The National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education exercises various powers, which can be divided into: regulatory, analytical, accreditation, control, communication. The effectiveness of the work of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education for 2020 has been proved. The results of a survey conducted by 183 higher education institutions of Ukraine conducted by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education are shown. Emphasis was placed on the development of "Recommendations of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education regarding the introduction of an internal quality assurance system." The international activity and international recognition of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education are shown.

LNG 탱크의 주름진 내벽박판용 자동용접시스템의 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on development of automatic welding system for corrugated membranes of the LNG tank)

  • Development of an automatic TIG welding system incorporating a vision sensor and torch control mechanism leads to an improved welding quality and greater production efficiency. The automatic welding system should be greatly restricted in its size and weight for the LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) storage tank and also provide a unique torch rotating mechanism which keeps the torch tip in the constant position while the angle is changed continuously to maintain the welding torch substantially perpendicular to the weld line. The developed system is driven by two translation axes X, Z and one rotational axis. A moving line window method is adopted to the image recognition of the corrugated membranes with specular reflection. This method decides original laser stripe patterns in image which is affected by multi-reflection. A self-teaching algorithm, which guides the automatic welding machine with the information provided by the CCD camera without any previous learning of a reference trajectory, was developed for tracking the corrugated membrane of the LNG tank along the weld line.

롤의 웹 표면 수직방향 기울임을 이용한 새로운 웹 가이더 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of a New Web Guiding Mechanism Using a Tilting Roller)

  • The alignment of the rollers carrying the web is found to be one of important factors to the lateral behavior of the moving web and to the quality of the final web products. But, the perfect alignment of the rollers is not always possible and the web itself can be cambered. Thus the control of lateral behavior of the moving web is critical in the most of web handling systems. The web guiding system that adjusts the angle of the alignment between two adjacent rollers is commonly used in industry. But, in this paper a new web guiding system is proposed by using the lateral dynamics of the moving web induced by a tilted roller in normal direction of a web. The computer simulation study was carried out to verify the steering performance of the suggested guiding system. Computer simulation study shows that the performance of the new guiding mechanism is better than that of an existing guiding mechanism.

The Study of the Cycle Time Improvement by Work-In-Process Statistical Process Control Method for IC Foundry Manufacturing

  • The definition of cycle time is the time from the wafer start to the wafer output. It usually takes one or two months to get the product since customer decides to produce it. The cycle time is a critical factor for customer satisfaction because it represents the response time to the market. Long cycle time reflects the ineffective investment for the capital. The cycle time is very important for foundry because long cycle time will cause customer unsatisfied and the order loss. Consequently, all of the foundries put lots of human source in the cycle time improvement. Usually, we make decisions based on the experience in the cycle time management. We have no mechanism or theory for cycle time management. We do work-in-process (WIP) management based on turn rate and standard WIP (STD WIP) set by experiences. But the experience didn't mean the optimal solution, when the situation changed, the cycle time or the standard WIP will also be changed. The experience will not always be applicable. If we only have the experience and no mechanism, management will not be work out. After interview several foundry fab managers, all of the fab can't reflect the situation. That is, all of them will have an impact period after product mix or utilization varied. In this study, we want to develop a formula for standard WIP and use statistical process control (SPC) concept to set WIP upper/lower limit level. When WIP exceed the limit level, it will trigger action plans to compensate WIP Profile. If WIP Profile balances, we don't need too much WIP. So WIP level could be reduced and cycle time also could be reduced.
