The Effect and Influencing Mechanism of TPM Factors to Performance

  • This study tries to analyze how TPM works in domestic manufacturing industry by estimating two-stage model. First stage tests the effects of five TPM-factor variables (TFV : (1) Small group activity & Autonomous maintenance, (2) Education & Training, (3) Planned maintenance, (4) improving effectiveness of each piece of facility (5) Safety & Environment) to two TPM-performance variables. Second stage tests how two TPVs affect the industry's productivity level. By combining these two stages, this study uses a model to explain how TPM, represented by TFVs, works to improve productivity via TPVs. Multivariate and univariate regression and correlation analyses were peformed. It is shown that five TFVs works in two different ways to improve the industry's productivity level. In the second stage, overall equipment effectiveness has relatively more significant effects to the productivity level.

  • The purpose of this research is to create an expert risk-based piping system inspection model. The proposed system includes a risk-based piping inspection system and a piping inspection guideline system. The research procedure consists of three parts: the risk-based inspection model, the risk-based piping inspection model, and the piping inspection guideline system model. In this research procedure, a field plant visit is conducted to collect the related domestic information (Taiwan) and foreign standards and regulations for creating a strategic risk-based piping inspection and analysis system in accordance with the piping damage characteristics in the petrochemical industry. In accordance with various piping damage models and damage positions, petrochemical plants provide the optimal piping inspection planning tool for efficient piping risk prediction for enhancing plant operation safety.

  • In general, a software fault detection phenonenon is described by a software reliability model based on a nonhomogeneous Poisson process(NHPP). In this paper, we propose a software reliability growth model considering the differences of the software environments in both the testing phase and the operational phase. Also, we consider the problem of determining the optimal release time and the optimal warranty period that minimize the total expected software cost which takes account of periodic software maintenance(e.g. patch, update, etc). Finally, we analyze the sensitivity of the optimal release time and warranty period based on the fault data observed in the actual testing process.

열차하중을 지지하는 지하철정거장 중간슬래브의 안정성 연구 (A Study on Stability of Middle Slabs supporting Train Loads in Subway Station)

  • This study present the stability of middle slabs directly supporting train loads in the subway station. According to results of Quality confirmation, mixing and curing conditions are good. But, when effects of hydration heat are analyzed, cracks seems to take place because tensile stress is higher than tensile strength in several points of middle slabs. It is found that vibration by train running don't have an effect on cracks in the structure. The structural analysis shows that there is no problem on the stability of structural body, but the design through 3-dimensional analysis is need to consider columns and opening specially in the subway station structures.

ASSESSMENT OF PUBLIC PERCEIVED ROADWAY SMOOTHNESS

  • International Roughness Index (IRI) has been widely used by state DOTs to quantify pavement smoothness. When pavement condition falls below certain IRI thresholds, corresponding pavement maintenance treatments should be considered for application. Selection of appropriate IRI thresholds is essential to tactical allocation of limited resources to improve the conditions of states' roadway systems. This selection process is often challenging, however, because IRI thresholds are largely determined by Perceived Ride Quality (PRQ), and PRQ differs in each state. In this paper, a framework is proposed to address this problem. Passenger raters will be randomly selected from predetermined geographic locations, and their PRQ ratings collected. Taking this perceived ride data, along with other data collected, a statistical analysis will be conducted to establish the relationship between measured IRI values and PRQ. Appropriate IRI thresholds will then be determined. Once this framework is implemented, state DOTs could make informative maintenance decisions, which are expected to greatly enhance the public perception of pavement conditions in today's challenging economy.

제품의 사용자 관점에서의 품질비용 모델 (Quality Cost Model for a Product in the User's Viewpoint)

  • The Q-cost has been used in the manufacturing company to decide the optimal level of company's product quality, and to evaluate the effect of company's quality control system since the advent of Q-cost theory. In spite of the following costs are generated in the user side, owing to an unsuitable level of product quality and inadequacy of company's quality control system, these costs are not usually included in the company's Q-cost : (1) the cost generated in relation to a claim proposal as traffic expeneses and transpotation of the product. (2) the cost of maintenance through the useful life of the product, especially accured after quality warranty period. (3) the cost related to the economical efficiency in using the product. (4) the cost ralated to a customer dissatisfaction for the product quality. In this point of view, the contents of user side Q-cost, and the relations between the user side Q-cost and the level of company's product quality are discussed. And then the importance of user side Q-cost in order to determine the optimal quality level is discussed.

  • 본 연구는 품질증진제 처리가 산취(Chamaecereus silvestrii) '희망'의 모구품질과 표피 변화에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 생체중은 D-sorbitol 처리구보다 D-mannitol 처리구에서 감소율이 낮아 효과적이었다. Diniconazole 200ppm처리는 산취의 자구생육을 어느 정도(수치화) 억제하여 장기수송(50일)에 더 적합하였으며 자구색의 발현 어느 정도(수치화)에도 효과적이었다. 산취 모구의 표피구조는 비모란에 비해 하피 발달이 저조하고 어느 정도(수치화) 단층이며 세포벽도 얇아 어느 정도(수치화) 수송조건에 불리하였는데 생육의 억제효과가 높은 diniconazole 200ppm + D-mannitol 10,000ppm과 발색효과가 좋은 diniconazole 200ppm + wax 살포가 저장 중의 품질 유지에 적합하다고 판단된다.

  • The purpose of this study is to search for the quality characteristics for evaluation of the information system. The quality characteristics are an important factor for selection, implementation and maintenance of the information system of the company. Of course in the end, the quality of the information system in a company is directly related with the business performance of the company. This paper is a study of a model with four independent variables, a parameter variable, and a total of 15 hypotheses, investigated by a questionnaire method. It conducted the model analysis of structural equation to use statistical package for questionnaire analysis.

군수지원 분야 서비스품질 평가 및 재방문의도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of the Service Quality and Revisit Intention in the Defense Logistics Support)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction of improving service quality in the defense logistics support. For this, this study compares and analyzes the perceived service quality between customer(using unit) and defense logistics support unit by using SERVPERF model. Supply, military meals, and maintenance are carrying out the mission as core function of defense logistics support and also encounter with customer. In this empirical analysis, the service quality is composed of four factors, and there are significant difference in perception level of service quality between them. Also, the relationship between factors of service quality and revisit intention shows significant difference statistically, and the customer orientation and responsiveness are key affecting factors on revisit intention.
