The purpose of this research is to identify the critical factors influencing on the continuous use of video telephony service for mobile devices. An empirical analysis has been performed by using service quality, brand image, price, fun as influencing factors, and satisfaction and commitment as mediating factors. The partial least squares(PLS) methodology with 228 questionnaires has been conducted. The results indicated that brand image, price, and fun were mediated by satisfaction and commitment to have a statistically significant influence on continuous use of video telephony service. Service quality showed a significant effect on continuous use mediated by satisfaction while it did not show any influence through commitment. Based on the results, companies in the communication service industry should consider and focus on the improved brand image, appropriate fees, and individual preferences for fun for the successful marketing activities, and should also maintain amicable relations with their customers.

The purpose of the present study was to compare and analyze differences in job satisfaction and quality of life in relation to the use of movement assisters among workers with severe and slight external physical disabilities and to analyze the effect of job satisfaction on the quality of life of disabled persons who use movement assisters. First, severely disabled persons who used movement assisters showed higher degrees of satisfaction with their work content, working environments, working hours, possibilities for development, communication, and human relations. On the other hand, slightly disabled persons who used movement assisters showed higher degrees of satisfaction only with their working environments. Second, severely disabled persons who used movement assisters perceived a higher quality of life in the areas of family, residence, and work. Slightly disabled persons who used movement assisters perceived a higher quality of life only in the area of family. Third, workers with external physical disabilities who used movement assisters had positive effects on their quality of life arising from job satisfaction in relation to income, job stability, working environments, working hours, possibilities for job development, communication, and human relations that is, a higher job satisfaction was correlated with a higher perceived quality of life.

Airlines have been introducing self check-in kiosks to reduce check-in time and improve operational efficacy to increase business revenue. The domestic airlines have actively provided kiosks at airports which are expected to reduce their operating costs and enrich their passengers' travel convenience. Based on the above background, the study investigates the factors influencing intention to use the self check-in kiosks by employing the Extended Technology Acceptance Model (ETAM). The study, therefore, designed a research model by reviewing theories and studies on the relationship among information quality, innovativeness, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and intention to use the kiosks. The structural equation model revealed the following. Information quality and innovativeness had a significantly positive influence on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness; furthermore, perceived ease of use had a significantly positive influence on perceived usefulness. In addition, both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness had a significantly positive influence on intention to use. The results indicate that the airlines should constantly develop user-friendly contents and design of the self check-in kiosks.

This paper proposes a quality control method of assembly parts based on parts inspection information. We use the parts inspection information for reduction of defective fraction in assembly and prediction of assembly quality. At first, we build the functional relationship between parts and assembled unit by regression analysis. Secondly, if we use the inspection informations of parts which are estimators of means and variances, we can predict the nonconforming probability of assembled unit and propose the best assembly method. In a case study, we showed the efficency of the proposed method in two part assembly.

This study investigates predictors of continuance intention and purchase intention in mobile application(App) stores. This study identifies the structural relationships among app store quality, user habit, switching costs, user loyalty, continuance intention, and purchase intention in mobile application stores. The results indicate that user loyalty increases continuance intention and purchase intention and that user habit positively affects perceived switching costs and user loyalty. App store quality is a formative construct including quality of content, ease of use, and security. App store quality affects user habit positively. This study theoretically and practically contributes to the integration of influential factors for continuance intention as well as purchase intention.

When the linear correlation of the quality variables are considerably high, multivariate control charts may be a more effective way than univariate charts which operate quality variables and process parameters individually. Performances and efficiencies of the multivariate control charts under multivariate normal process has been considered. Some numerical results are presented under small scale of the shifts in the process to see the improvement of the efficiency of EWMA chart and CUSUM chart, which use past quality information, comparing to Shewart chart, which do not use quality information. We can know that the decision of the optimum value of the smoothing constant in EWMA structure or the reference value in CUSUM structure are very important whether we adopt combine-accumulate technique or accumulate-combine technique under the given condition of process.

Fast pyrolysis is one of the most promising technologies for converting biomass to liquid fuels. Pyrolysis bio-oil can replace petroleum-based fuels used in various thermal conversion devices. However, pyrolysis bio-oil is completely different from petroleum fuels. Therefore, in order to successfully use pyrolysis bio-oil, it is necessary to understand the fuel characteristics of pyrolysis bio-oil. This paper focuses on fuel characteristics and upgrading methods of pyrolysis bio-oil and discusses how these fuel characteristics can be applied to the use of pyrolysis bio-oils. In addition, the fuel quality standards of fast pyrolysis bio-oil were examined.

The IoT environment has led to explosive growth of existing enterprise data, and how to utilize such big data is becoming an important issue in the management field. In this paper, major factors affecting the decisions of companies to utilize big data have been studied. And also, the effect of big data utilization on the management quality is studied empirically. During this process, we have studied the difference according to the award of Korean national quality award. As a result of the study, we confirmed that the five factors such as cost from technology, organization and environment perspective, compatibility, company size, chief officer support, and competitor pressure are key factors influencing big data utilization. Also, it was confirmed that the use of big data for management activities has an important influence on the six management quality factors based on MBNQA, and that the management quality level of Korean national quality award companies is relatively high. This paper provides practical implications for companies' use of big data because it demonstrates for the first time that big data utilization has an impact on management quality improvement.

Purpose: Recently, many quality issues are aroused in military forces, such as failures in K-series weapons, combat boots defects and 40mm ammunition explosion accident. To address these problems, this paper suggests to use so called, Defense Quality Score, which is based on Taguchi loss function and developed in this research. Methods: Current defense specification states only the minimum requirement to produce the military supplies. Therefore, it is not easy to indue the continuous quality improvement of the supplies. This research suggests to use the defense quality score which measures the current status of defense supplies'quality characteristics. Results: We applied the defense quality score concept into the hot pepper sauce and long time stockpiled ammunition. We first categorize the quality characteristics into three categories, then assign the certain amount of score based on the importance of the characteristics. Lastly, we applied the modified Taguchi loss function to calculate the achieved score of the characteristics. The perfect score is 100 and the closer to the score, the better product it indicates. Conclusions: In this research, we developed the modified Taguchi loss function to apply into the korean defense supplies. The loss function is utilized to calculate the achieved level of satisfaction of the supplies based on the defense specifications. The application of defense quality score may help to stimulate the continuous quality improvement and encourage the good will quality competition among the military providers.

In the wake of COVID-19, more consumers prefer non-face-to-face services and the explosion in the use of delivery apps is shaping a new delivery culture. Meanwhile, in order to solve social problems such as platform monopoly of private delivery apps and increased brokerage fees, many municipalities are launching public delivery apps from 2020 onwards. However, consumers who are used for the existing private delivery apps are not aware of the public delivery apps and the utilization rate is low. In this study, we will look at the impact of sense of community and service quality (information quality, delivery quality) on the intend to use public delivery apps. Studies have shown that SOC and information quality have a significant impact on the attitude of using public delivery apps, but not delivery quality. In addition, the attitude of using public delivery apps has been shown to have a mediating effect on the relationship between SOC, information quality and public delivery app use intentions respectively. Therefore, to activate the public delivery apps, it was found that it is necessary not only to promote, but also to improve user convenience, such as product search and user review inquiry to improve information quality, along with efforts to strengthen the sense of local community.
