Microwave Dielectric Properties of 0.7Ba(Mg,Ta)O$_3$-0.3Ba(Co,Nb)O$_3$Ceramics with Sintering Temperature (소결온도에 따른 0.7Ba(Mg,Ta)O$_3$-0.3Ba(Co,Nb)O$_3$세라믹스 마이크로파 유전특성에 관한연구)

  • $0.7Ba(Mg{\frac}_{1}{3}Ta{\frac}_{1}{3})O_3-0.3Ba({\frac}_{1}{3}Nb{\frac}_{1}{3})O_3ceramics$ were prepared by the conventional mixed oxide method. The ceramics were sintered at the temperature of $1500{\sim}1575[^{\circ}C]$ for 5 hours in air. The microwave dielectric properties of the specimens were investigated with sintering temperature. The 0.7BMT-0.3BCN ceramics showed typical XRD patterns of the complex perovskite structure. Dielectric constant and quality factor were increased with increasing the sintering temperature. In the case of the specimens sintered at $1575[^{\circ}C]$ for 5 hours, dielectric constant, quality factor and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency were good values of 28,23545 at 10[㎓] and -1.2 $[ppm/^{\circ}C]$, respectively.

  • The $0.98MgTiO_3-0.02BaTiO_3$ ceramics were prepared by the conventional mixed oxide method. The structural properties were investigated with sintering temperature and composition ratio by XRD, SEM and EDS. According to the X-ray diffraction patterns of the $0.98MgTiO_3-0.02BaTiO_3$ ceramics, the hexagonal $BaMg_6Ti_6O_{19}$ and ilmenite $MgTiO_3$ structures were coexisted. The dielectric constant$({\varepsilin}_r)$ and quality factor$(Q{\times}f_r)$ were decreased with increasing the sintering temperature in the range of $1275^{\circ}C{\sim}1350^{\circ}C$. In the case of the $0.98MgTiO_3-0.02BaTiO_3$ ceramics sintered at $1275^{\circ}C$, dielectric constant, quality factor and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency were 20.27, 76,845, $-46.6ppm/^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • In this study, in order to develop excellent lead-free composition ceramics for piezoelectric transformer, $(K_{5.4}Cu_{1.3}Ta_{10}O_{29})$ added $(K_{0.5}Na_{0.5}](Nb_{0.97}Sb_{0.03})O_3$ were fabricated using conventional mixed oxide method. At the 0.9mol% KCT added specimen, electromechanical coupling factor(kp) and mechanical quality factor ($Q_m$) showed the optimal values of 0.437 and 727.07, respectively, for piezoelectric transformer application.

  • This paper was to measure the structure, electric characteristics of 0.05Pb($(Al_{0.5}Nb_{0.5})$) - 0.95Pb$(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ ceramics dopped with Cr+Fe. The results of this paper were gotten such as follows; The dielectric constants were decreased with Cr+Fe. The dielectric loss was minimum value of 1.008[%], dopped with Cr+Fe O.9[wt%] at 1200[$^{\circ}C$], In case of sintering at 1150[$^{\circ}C$], electromechanical factodkp) was maximum value of kp 42.73[%], at Cr+Fe 0.9[wt%]. The mechanical quality factor(Qm) was maximum value at Cr+Fe 1.2 [wt%], Also, in case of dopped with Cr+Fe, it make a improvement in temperature coefficient of resonant frequency at 0.3[wt%], 1150[$^{\circ}C$].

  • [ $0.91(PSN-PZT)-0.05BF-0.04PNW+0.3wt%MnO_2+0.6wt%CuO+xwt%CeO_2$ ] ceramics were fabricated with the variations of $CeO_2$ addition at the sintering temperature of $950^{\circ}C$ and their microstructure and dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. As the amount of $CeO_2$ addition increased, the grain size, density and electromechanical coupling factor(kp) were increased and the mechanical quality factor(Qm) was decreased. At the $0.3wt%CeO_2$, density, grain size and electromechanical factor(kp) showed the maximum value of $7.87g/cm^3$, $3.22{\mu}m$ and 0.5, respectively. However, mechanical quality factor(Qm) showed the minimum value of 807 at the $0.5wt%CeO_2$.

  • In this paper, we investigated the dielectric and piezoelectric properties of Pb(Sb, Nb)O$_3$-Pb(Zr, Ti)O$_3$ ceramic(PSN) for piezoelectric transformer and actuator etc. Effect of MnO$_2$ addition on the PSN ceramic was investigated. Anisotropic properties of electromechanical coupling factor and piezoelectric properties proved to be varied with amount of MnO$_2$ impurity and sintering temperature. The electromechanical coupling factor k$_{p}$ of 0.38 and the mechanical quality factor Q$_{m}$ of 1944 were obtained from the specimen with 0.4 wt% MnO$_2$ sintered at 115$0^{\circ}C$ addition. Experimental results indicated that the PSN ceramic with MnO$_2$ impurity can be effectively used for piezoelectric transformer and actuator.tor.

  • Effect of cobalt substitution on the sintering behavior and magnetic properties of a NiZnCu ferrite was studied. $Ni_{0.36-x}Co_xZn_{0.44}Cu_{0.22}Fe_{1.98}O_4(0{\leq}x{\leq}0.04)$ ferrite was fabricated by a solid stat reaction method. It was proposed and experimentally verified that $Co^{2+}$ substituted NiZnCu ferrite was effective on improving the quality factor and magnetic properties of NiZnCu ferrites for multilayer chip inductors. The ferrite was sintered without sintering aids, at $880{\sim}920^{\circ}C$, for 2 h and the initial permeability, quality factor, density, shrinkage, saturation magnetization, and coercivity were also measured. The quality factor (Q) was increased linearly up to x = 0.01 and decreased rapidly over x = 0.01. As the cobalt content increased, the initial permeability and density of the ferrites decreases. The initial permeability of toroidal sample for $Ni_{0.35}Co_{0.01}Zn_{0.44}Cu_{0.22}Fe_{1.98}O_4$ ferrites sintered at $900^{\circ}C$ was 130 at 1 MHz and quality factor was 230.

  • In this study, in order to improve the electrical properties of low temperature sintering piezoelectric ceramics, $[0.05Pb(Zn_{1/2}W_{1/2})-0.07Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})-0.088Pb(Zr_{0.48}Ti_{0.52})]O_3$(abbreviated as PZW-PMN-PZT) ceramic systems were fabricated using $Bi_2O_3$, CuO and $Li_2CO_3$ as sintering aids and then their piezoelectric and dielectric properties were investigated according to the amount of $Li_2CO_3$ and post-annealing process. Post-annealing process enhanced all physical properties except for mechanical quality factor (Qm). 0.2 wt% $Li_2CO_3$ added and post-annealed specimen showed the excellent values suitable for low loss piezoelectric actuator application as follow: the density = 7.86 $g/cm^3$ electromechanical coupling factor (kp) = 0.575, piezoelectric constant $d_{33}$ = 370 pC/N, dielectric constant ($\varepsilon_r$) = 1546, and mechanical quality factor (Qm) = 1161, respectively.

  • In this study, we propose the structures of octagonal spiral planar inductors without underpass and via, and confirm the frequency characteristics. The structures of inductors have Si thickness of $300{\mu}m$, $SiO_2$ thickness of $7{\mu}m$. The width of Cu coils and the space between segments have $20{\mu}m$, respectively. The number of turns of coils have 3. The performance of spiral planar inductors was simulated to frequency characteristics for inductance, quality-factor, SRF(Self- Resonance Frequency) using HFSS. The octagonal spiral planar inductors have inductance of 2.5nH over the frequency range of 0.8 to 1.8 GHz, quality-factor of maximum 18.9 at 5 GHz, SRF of 11.1 GHz. Otherwise, square spiral planar inductors have inductance of 2.8nH over the frequency range of 0.8 to 1.8 GHz, quality-factor of maximum 18.9 at 4.9 GHz, SRF of 10.3 GHz.

Otherwise, 1-layer spiral planar inductors have inductance of 1.5nH over the frequency range of 0.8 to 1.8 GHz, quality-factor of maximum 18 at 8 GHz, SRF of 19.2 GHz.
