This study was done to develop an euthanasia attitude scale. Subjects who participated in the study were a convenience sample of 234 Korean nurses. Data were collected through a survey over a period of three months. The analysis of the data was done using SPSS PC for descriptive statistics, factor analysis and Cronbach's Coefficient Alpha. Initially 63 items were generated from interview data from eighteen nurses and from a literature review. This preliminary scale was analyzed for a reliability and validity. The results are as follow: 1, Crombach's Coefficient alpha for the 19 items was .8804. 2. Factor analysis was done in order to confirm construct validity and four factor were extracted from the results. These contributed 56.6% of the variance in the total score. 3. Each factor was labled 'qualify of life', 'respect of life, 'client's right', 'medical ethics'. The author suggests that this scale could be used in assessing the attitude of Korean nurses toward euthanasia.

The Film-making industry in Korea has significantly expanded during last decade. However, the development didn't necessarily mean there's improvement in terms of the quality of life for the film staffs. In post-production stages, especially, any workers involved in the production can get tremendous amount of mental pressure and stress due to the deadline. Thus, in this period, most labor issues are found and often ignored. In this research, compared to Hollywood, Korean domestic film industry will be analyzed with focus on labor organizations. Their role will be explored and examined in terms of improving the qualify of life as well as of the film itself.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to explore the health-related quality of life of caregivers for demented elders. Method: The subjects of this study were 170 pairs of demented elders and their caregivers. Socio-demographic characteristics of the demented elders and the caregivers, Barthel index and SF-36 were used in this study. Data analysis procedure included t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The score of overall health-related quality of life (HRQoL) was 288.62 in norm-based scoring. The major factors that affect HRQoL of the demented elders' caregivers were burden, the age of the caregiver, ADL and gender of the demented elder, and these factors explained 34.5% of HRQoL. Conclusion: The factors significantly affecting the caregivers' HRQoL were burden, the age of the caregiver and ADL. The effective social support system should be considered in respective nursing interventions to decrease the level of burden and to increase HRQoL in demented elders' caregivers. Further studies and efforts will be needed to investigate preceding factors of burden and HRQoL.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of pelvic floor muscle exercise on reducing the symptoms of stress urinary incontinence and improving attitude toward exercise and quality of life. Method: The research adopted was a nonequivalent control group pretest posttest design. The subjects were 55 persons who were surveyed using a structured questionnaire, and 23 persons in the experimental group among the total sample were measured for the peak pressure and the duration of PMC and trained correct pelvic floor muscle contraction using peritron in the first week. Then, pelvic floor muscle exercise was implemented for 6 weeks. The data was analyzed by $\chi^2$-test and t-test with the SPSS 10.0 program. Results: 1) The degree of stress urinary incontinence, frequency of urination, nocturia, urgency, noctural incontinence, the frequency and quantity of incontinence, outer clothing change and incomplete emptying decreased significantly more in the experimental group than in the control group. 2) Attitude toward pelvic floor muscle exercise and the qualify of life were improved significantly more in the experimental group than in the control group. 3) The peak pressure and duration of PMC increased significantly more in the posttest. Conclusion: Based on the results above, it is judged that pelvic floor muscle exercise is an effective nursing intervention in order to care for stress urinary incontinence.

Backgroun : Tinnitus is common disorder with many possible causes and a symptom of many different diseases but has no effective treatment. Approximately 20% of tinnitus patients experience the disorder to a degree that their quality of lift and productivity are impaired. Objective : This study was conducted to investigate the characteristic of the tinnitus patients and the impact of tinnitus on quality of life. Methods : 103 patients un recruited in this study who was ill with tinnitus. They wrote out the queslicumaire about tinnitus and the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory(THI). Result : THI score have relation to set the period of birth, the loudness of tinnitus and the items of attending symptoms. Conclusion In this study, tinnitus have influence on patients' quality of life. We expect this study to provide the base data for the effective treatment and the high qualify of patients' life.

Objective: The goal of this study was to investigate personality preferences of medical students and to examine the relationship between personality profiles and their satisfaction with major and student life. Methods : The MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), which measures personality preferences, was administered by medical students (n = 94) who began to qualify from the Yonsei University College of Medicine in 2007. The resulting personality profiles of the medical students were correlated with scores of the satisfaction with major and student life Results: First, there were more preference types of Introversion(61.71%), Sensing(67.66%), Thinking(73.41%) and Judging(61.71%) than Extraversion (38.29%), Intuition (22.34%), Feeling (26.59%) and Perception(38.29%), Most medical students are personality type ISTJ(24.21%), followed by ESTJ(17.02%), Second, students with the preference for Extraversion and Intuition were more satisfied with their major and student life. Third, the preference for Judging showed higher scores in the satisfaction with major. Conclusions: This study might give implications for the psychological wellbeing and successful studying of medical students.

The Purpose of this study was to determine the degree and contents composing the qualify of life and to analyze the relationships among the demographic characteristics, the degree of pain and the quality of life of the cancer patients experiencing a radiation therapy. The subjects for this study were 110 out-patients experiencing a radation therapy at C University Hospital in K-city, from April to October, 1992. The data were obtained using a convenience sampling technique. The tool of this study was the quality of life scale developed by Ro, You-Ja and the data were analyzed using a SAS program for percentages, mean & standard deviation. ANOVA and Scheffe test. The results were as follows : 1. the average total score of the quality of life of the subjects was 139.65(minimum score 121-maximum score 164), item mean score grange 1-5) was 2.97. For each factor in the quality of life scale, the mean scores (range 1-5) were 3.29 in emotional state, 3.14 in relationship with neighbors. 3.04 in physical state and function. 2.92 in self-esteem, 2.81 in economic life and 2.65 in relationship with family. 2. The incidence of physical symptoms was seen fatigue ($84.5\%$). anorexia ($65.5\%$) and weight loss ($47.3\%$) in order. The 50.9 percentage of the subjects complained of moderate or severe pain. 3. The results of the analysis of the relationships between the demographic variables and the quality of life were as follows : Gender (F=8.45, P=0.0044), age (F=6.29, P=0.0001). educational level (F=5.67, P=0.0046), marital status (F=6.82. P=0.0016), occupation (F=2.86, P=0.009), monthly income (F=6.90, P=0.0003), family living together (F=3.95, P=0.0494) and person paying a medical fee (F=5.14, P=0.0023). 4. The relationship between the degree of pain and the quality of life was significant difference (F=3.12, P=0.0482).

The development of digital technology makes our life more convenient in our lives and its calmness promotes the qualify of our life. Digital-home-automation system lets indoor-living more free, safe and clear so that it really has come true our life style that considers our mind and healthy to be important. Moreover, LED light source that combines the semiconductor with the digital technology has been tried as a current indoor illumination. Also the introduction of the light which has a high technology, like LED light, has been required in living space. It shows that it is very important to have an illuminated- plan which is accepted as well-developed technology. This study deals with the investigation into the user satisfaction of the existing residential area illumination and the investigation into the user satisfaction of the LED illumination being supplied for commercial area now. In the result, the fact is investigated that the user wants the introduction of the digital technology In the illumination because of a backward the residental area illumination in the circumstances being digital gradually. The inconvenience of the illumination used now should be minimized and the development of the LED illumination is a way satisfying the desire. The intended illumination project of the residential area should be accomplished according to the lifestyle of a changing residence.

건조 식품의 적절한 포장 기법을 확립하고 포장된 제품의 품질 변화를 신속하게 예측할 수 있는 방법을 개발하고자 건조 김을 모델 식품으로 하여 저장 온 습도 조건 및 포장재별로 수분활성도 및 품질 지표 물질로서 chlorophyll a의 변화를 simulation하고 shelf-life를 예측하였다. 수분활성도와 chlorophyll a의 반응 상수 사이의 수학적인 변화 모델을 $10^{\circ}C,\;25^{\circ}C$ 및 $40^{\circ}C$에서 설정하였다. 수분 함량. 저장 온 습도 및 포장재와 같은 저장 조건의 영향을 동시에 고려하여 제품의 수분활성도 및 품질 지표 물질인 chlorophyll a의 변화를 예측할 수 있는 컴퓨터 simulation 방법이 개발되었다. simulation에 의해 예측된 품질 변화는 실측치와 잘 일치하였다. 수분활성도가 증가함에 따라 기호도 및 chlorophyll a는 감소하였으며, 기호도와 chlorophyll a와의 상관관계도 매우 높아 상관계수는 0.991이었다. 관능검사에 의해 측정된 저장 임계 수분활성도는 약 0.55이었다. 여러 저장 조건에서 플라스틱 필름 포장된 건조 김의 shelf-life를 예측할 수 있었다.
