This paper studies power and rate control for data users on the forward link of CDMA system with two cells. The QoS for data users is specified by delay and error rate constraints as well as a family of utility functions representing system throughput and fairness among data users. Optimal power and rate allocation problem is mathematically formulated as a nonlinear programming problem, which is to maximize total utility under delay and error rate constraints, and optimal power and rate allocation scheme (OPRAS) is proposed to obtain a good solution in a fast time. Computational experiments show that the proposed scheme OPRAS works very well and increases total utility compared to the separate power and rate allocation scheme (SPARS) which considers each cell individually.

Every bridge node participating in multiple piconets and forming a scatternet should schedule the inter-piconet traffics in an efficient manner. Frequent piconet switching due to short polling intervals for the links of a bridge node leads to considerable time slots loss caused by the guard time and power consumption for transceiving and processing. On the other hand, restrained piconet switching may result in failures of fulfilling QoS (Quality of Service) requirements for some links. Tn this paper, we present a QoS aware inter-piconet scheduling scheme minimizing the piconet switching events within guaranteed QoS requirements. According to simulation results, the proposed scheme is confirmed to have great improvement in throughput and number of switching events over the credit scheme as current inter-piconet scheduling scheme for the scatter mode.

In this paper we propose a novel QoE control scheme based on Service Level Agreement (SLA) which enables to guarantee the user perceived service quality of various high-quality mobile multimedia services such as mobile video streaming and real-time network games to a certain level. For this purpose, a SLA control structure is adopted to provision QoE, and a novel resource management scheme gets coupled with this control structure. Simulation results show that our proposed scheme can decrease the average delay and increase the total throughput by adjusting SLA.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and quality of service (QoS) on pay satisfaction for employees at small-and medium-sized hospital that adopted an annual salary system. Methods : The subjects were 136 employees working at 2 Small-and Medium-sized Hospitals in Seoul and Daejeon. The data were collected from May 11 to May 22, 2015 using a structured questionnaire. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe test were used with the SPSS 21 package. Results : The mean score for pay satisfaction perceived by the employees at small-and medium-sized Hospitals that adopted an annual salary system was 1.74. The mean score for OCB and QoS was 4.02 and 4.43, respectively. The pay satisfaction perceived by the employees at small-and medium-sized Hospitals that adopted an annual salary system were positively related to the OCB. Pay satisfaction was positively related to the QoS; however, it was not statistically significant. The OCB and QoS showed a significant difference in age, marital status, and education level. Conclusions : Small and Medium sized Hospitals have to develop an efficient pay management system which evaluates the CSFs and KPI of every department or staff member.

우리나라 NGN 이행은 Access Gateway 도입단계를 거쳐 NGN 통합망으로의 진화가 계속 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 NGN 도입단계에서의 QoS 확보와 NGN 운용과정의 품질 보증을 위해 어떤 체계하에서 품질이 관리 되어야 하는지를 도출하기 위해서 VOIP와 멀티미디어 트래픽을 중심으로 NGN QoS 측정 프레임워크를 제시한다. 프레임워크는 NGN운용과정에서 QoS 측정메트릭스, 측정구간과 측정계위, 측정도구와 측정장비, 측정방법 및 측정결과분석에 대한 일련의 프로세스와 방법론을 모델화하여 향후 NGN QoS 보증활동에 대비토록 한다. 통신서비스 품질은 스스로 보장되지 않으며 끊임없이 측정되고 관리될 때에만 목표수준 확보가 가능하다. NGN 으로의 네트워크기술 패러다임 대 전환이 전개되고 있는 이시기적인 중요성을 볼때 NGN 운용상의 QoS 관리에 대한 연구는 앞으로 활발하게 추진되어야할 핵심 소재이다.

Since an ATM network consists of a number of VPC/VCC requiring various QoS requirements, the end-to-end QoS for each VPC/VCC should be guaranteed. Although many research works on the traffic control are under study to guarantee the QoS, there have been research efforts to reflect the results of network management functions into the traffic control mechanism. To effectively make use of the performance management functions into the VPC/VCC management, threre is a need for the network manager to rapidly retrieve the relevant information. In this research, the mechanism to effectively retrieve the management information using SNMP is suggested. First of all, we construct the MIBs in the agent for the corresponding VPC/VCC. Also, we suggest the way to retrieve MIB with minimum cost. Mathematical analysis shows that the proposed technique has better performance than that using the existing SNMP.

In this letter, we propose a new online buffer management algorithm to simultaneously provide diverse multimedia traffic services and enhance network performance. Our online approach exhibits dynamic adaptability and responsiveness to the current traffic conditions in multimedia networks. This approach can provide high buffer utilization and thereby improve packet loss performance at the time of congestion.

차량용 인포테인먼트 시스템에 대한 수요와 멀티미디어의 처리용량이 증가하면서 MOST25 보다 높은 대역폭이 요구되면서 MOST 150 기술의 적용이 요구하고 있다. 기존 차량에 적용되고 있는 CAN 통신방식과 MOST150간의 데이터 처리 및 차량과 외부통신 및 진단 그리고 차량 내 멀티미디어의 효율적인 전송을 위한 Ethernet기술을 적용한 Gateway를 구현해 보았다. 이에 따른 이기종간의 효율적인 통신을 위해 알고리즘의 제안 및 적용을 통해 상호간의 데이터 처리를 효율적으로 처리하고자 한다. 기존의 MOST150 frame은 Control channel, Legacy Packet Channel(async), Synchronous/Isochronous channels로 되어 데이터를 처리하도록 되어 있으며, 효율적인 QoS를 위해 IETF의 QoS Management의 Mapping 방법을 MOST150 기술에 적용한 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다.

IETF에서 제안된 네트워크 기반의 이동성 지원 방식인 Proxy Mobile IP는 이동 단말이 아닌 LMA(Local Mobility Anchor)와 MAG(Mobile Access Gateway)등의 네트워크 요소가 이동성 지원 기능을 수행하기 때문에 단말 기반의 이동성 지원 방식인 MIP의 문제점을 해결하고 MIP보다 향상된 핸드오버 성능을 보인다. 그러나 여전히 PMIP은 MIP와 마찬가지로 IP의 Best Effort Service를 기반으로 하기 때문에 다양한 실시간 멀티미디어 서비스에 대한 QoS를 보장하지 못한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 MPLS 네트워크에서 PMIP기반의 이동성 지원 기술을 적용하여 이동성과 QoS의 보장을 모두 제공하는 네트워크 구조 및 핸드오버 절차를 제안한다.
