The results of this study were as follows : 1. The highest importance percentage(I.P.) value at tree layer in Quercus. mongolica community was Q. mongolica, 37.8%. But the highest value of mean importance percentage(M.I.P.) was D. macropodum, 32.8%. 2. The highest I.P. value at tree layer in Carpinus laxiflora community was C. laxiflora, 47.4%. The highest M.I.P. value was C. laxiflora, 28.8% and M.I.P. value of D. macropodum was 24.0%. 3. The highest I.P. value at tree layer in D. macropodum community was D. macropodum, 55.6%. C. laxiflora and Q. mogolica I.P. value was 14.8% and 6.8%, respectively. The highest M.I.P. value was D. macropodum, 47.9%. Sapium japonicum and C. laxiflora M.I.P. value was 11.4% and 10.7%, respectively. 4. The highest I.P. value at tree layer in Quercus variabilis community was C. laxiflora, 20.8%. Q. variabilis and Acer pseudosieboldianum I.P. value was 15.3% and 12.5%, respectively. The highest M.I.P. value was D. macropodum, 21.5%. It needs to the continuous monitoring of vegetation and importance percentage change in tree layer and subtree layer of D. macropodum. The researching results of D. macropodum distribution, the distribution range of D. macropodum showed expanded more than range of Lim and Oh' result(1999). In other words, it was distributed low density level between Najangsa temple and Byeokryeonam, and distributed in upper Keumsun waterfall and Wonjeok upper valley. D. macropodum was appeared on hiking trails around from Wonjeokam to Bulchulbong. Especially, it was found in this study that D. macropodum was distributed on Seoraebong's north which placed outside area of Naejangsa region. In this study, it was considered that distribution range of D. macropodum was expanded. Also, it is expected to be used as a result of the field study of changing distribution study of broad leaved evergreen forest due to global warming.
The limestone area covers the narrow range of the Korean Peninsula, and it consists of a peculiar ecosystem and topography. Therefore, this study on limestone area was carried out classification of vegetation type, physicochemical properties of forest soils and correlation between environment factors and vegetation types in order to furnish fundamental data for the forest management of limestone area. Forest vegetation was classified into two community groups such as Quercus variabilis community group and Quercus mongolica community group, and it was classified into eight vegetation units. Soil texture of survey sites showed largely silt loam and soil pH indicated the value of mean 7.55 in the A layer of soil profile. Content of exchangeable cation such as calcium ion ($Ca^{2+}$) and magnesium ion ($Mg^{2+}$) showed $26.04cmol_{c}/kg$ and $2.93cmol_{c}/kg$, respectively, which was about ten times higher than average of other regions of Korea. According to corelation between environmental factors and vegetation units, Q. variabilis community group was positively correlated to soil pH, slope degree and the rate of bare rock, and content of calcium ion ($Ca^{2+}$), and then Q. mongolica community group was positively correlated to altitude, respectively.
This text was analyzed and investigated the vegetation and floristic composition by ordination and classification of phytosociological method, to evaluate the species composition and community structure of Cymbidium goeringii group in Korean islets. In habitat of 33 plots, the mean altitude was 65.9m, the direction was the southeast slope, the mean slope was 7.9%. The coverage of Cymbidium goeringii was 4.5%. The appearing plants with the Cymbidium goeringii was the total 102 taxa, and it was the kind of trees 68 taxa (66.7%), herbs 34 taxa (33.3%), evergreen plants 36 taxa (35.3%) and deciduous plants 66 taxa (64.7 %) respectively. The frequency of appearing plant was the highest in the Eurya japonica (48.5%), followed by Pinus thunbergii (45.5%), Smilax china (36.4%), Carex lanceolata (33.3%), Hedera rhombea (33.3%), Machilus thunbergii (30.0%), Styrax japonicus (30.3%) and Pinus densiflora (27.3%), respectively. The vegetation of tree layer in Cymbidium goeringii group was classified into Pinus thunbergii community, Pinus densiflora community, Castanopsis sieboldii community and Quercus variabilis community. Pinus densiflora community showed a strong combination with Cymbidium goeringii group in Korean islets. Pinus thunbergii community among communities was combined with Castanopsis sieboldii community, and Pinus densiflora community and Quercus variabilis community were combined.
In this study, the structure of forest vegetation in Mt. Seondalsan, Bongwha-gun, was analyzed. Vegetation data were collected in 137 quadrat plots using the Z-M phytosociological method from June to October 2018. These data were analyzed using vegetation classification, importance value, and species diversity. Consequently, vegetation was classified as a Quercus mongolica community group that was divided into four communities: Cornus controversa, Phlomis umbrosa, Pinus densiflora, and Q. mongolica communities. The C. controversa community was subdivided into Magnolia sieboldii and Parthenocissus tricuspidata groups; the P. densiflora community was divided into Vaccinium hirtum var. koreanum, Quercus variabilis, and P. densiflora groups. In the C. controversa community, the M. sieboldii group was divided into the Acer mandshuricum and M. sieboldii subgroups, whereas the P. tricuspidata group was divided into the Larix kaempferi, Pinus koraiensis, and P. tricuspidata subgroups. In the P. densiflora community, the V. hirtum var. koreanum group was divided into the Rhododendron micranthum and V. hirtum var. koreanum subgroups. According to importance value analysis, C. controversa, L. kaempferi, P. koraiensis, Q. mongolica, Acer pictum subsp. mono, P. densiflora, and Q. variabilis were mainly indicated to have high value in the tree layer. The species diversity of Mt. Seondalsan was 1.969, which was greater than that of another Forest Genetic Resource Reserve.
This study was carried out to provide fundamental data for forest land and the environment by investigating the vegetation structure and soil properties of forest land where Sarcodon impricatus are present. The study area was divided into the Quercus mongolica community, dominated by Q. mongolica and the Quercus variabilis community, a mixed forest with Q. variabilis, Q. mongolica and Pinus densiflora. Also, Calamagrostis arundinacea in the former community and Disporum smilacinum and Carex siderosticta in the latter community showed significant levels as indicator species. Both communities showed a strong correlation between available phosphate and pH, sand, and clay, and the high organic matter content and slightly acidic pH of the soil are believed to be related to the development of S. impricatus. The species appearing at the lower layer continue to dominate because the species appearing at the upper layer have secured realized niches. The site was distributed in a relatively humid place in a north-east direction, and soil was developed with a thin litter layer and low rock exposure. In the selected S. impricatus growing areas, vegetation centered on highly adaptable species to disturbance or external interference was developed. Therefore, it is expected to be used as fundamental data to promote the occurrence of S. impricatus during artificial cultivation, as it is possible to identify the stand where S. impricatus occurs indirectly.

The study aims to establish a direction for forest ecological restoration by classifying forest types and understanding the ecological characteristics of the Uljin forest area damaged by a large fire in 2022. Hierarchical cluster analysis and indicator species analysis were conducted on 78 survey plots located in the forest fire-affected area, and four forest cover types were derived: P. densiflora pure forests, P. densiflora dominant forests, mixed broad-leaved forests, and Q. variabilis dominant forests. As a result of visually comparing changes in forest types before and after forest fire damage, by classifying data according to whether or not upper dead trees are included, it was confirmed that pine forests, which have a high proportion of pine trees, spread widely due to forest fire damage. However, broad-leaved mixed forests and oyster oak dominant forests showed characteristics of maintaining concentration, indicating that pine forests were severely damaged. As a result of the important value analysis, during the process of natural recovery after a forest fire, the species that appear early in the lower layer are the sprouts of existing species such as Quercus mongolica Fisch. ex Ledeb., Quercus variabilis Blume, Fraxinus sieboldiana Blume, Rhododendron mucronulatum Turcz. The distribution of diameter at breast height by forest cover type showed that among areas with extreme forest fire damage, the proportion of dead trees was relatively high and structural changes were large in P. densiflora pure forests and P. densiflora dominant forests where pine trees had a high distribution ratio. However, if continuous monitoring is carried out in the future with reference to the results of this study and plant data is collected and analyzed from a mid- to long-term perspective, it is believed that it will be used as useful data to promote forest ecological restoration projects in forest fire-affected areas.
To investigate the plant community structure in Gunpo Experimental Forest of Mt. Suri, Kyonggi-do, sixty-four plots were set up and surveyed. By DCA ordination technique, sixty-four plots were divided into seven groups. The dividing groups were * Pinus rigitaeda community, P. densiflora community, P. densiflora-Quercus mongolica community, Q. variabilis community, Q. aliena comunity, Q. serrata community, Carpinus laxiflora community. Though the successional trend of seven communities by DCA ordination technique and DBH class distribution analysis was not clearly inferred, * Pinus rigitaeda community and P. densiflora-Q: mongolica community seems to be trended from present state to Q. spp. community. P. densiflora community, Q. variabilis community, Q. aliena community and Q. serrata community seems to be maintained preaent state and C. laxiflora community will be maintainde stable state. Shannon's diversity was 0.7430~1.3025(unit area: 300m$^{2}$) and soil acidity was pH 4.16~5.13 in surveyed areas.
Leaf diffusive resistance (LDR), stomatal density, length of guard cell and hair density of leaves of 6 oak species were determined under withdrawal of water, and their strategies of drought stress were analyzed by principal component analysis. LDR of Quercus acutissima, Q. aliena and Q. serrata increased earlier than those of the other species at high leaf water potential $({\Psi}_{leaf})$ or low water saturation deficit (WSD), which was an avoidance mechanism reducing damage by water stress. Q. variabilis with low stomatal density, small stomatal size and high hair density had avoidance mechanisms increasing LDR at high $({\Psi}_{leaf})$ However, Q. mongolica and Q. dentata increased LDR at low $({\Psi}_{leaf})$ as xeric species do. Results from principal component analysis on the 15 variables related to strategies of drought stress indicated that the 6 oak species were divided into 2 groups: (1) Q. acutissima, Q. aliena and Q. serrata as mesic habitat species and (2) Q. variabilis, Q. mongolica and Q. dentata as xeric habitat species. Among three xeric species Q. acutissima differed from the other two species in the drought strategies such as high hair density, low stornatal density, high leaf area ratio, stomatal closing at low $({\Psi}_{leaf})$ and small cell wall elasticity. The results could reasonably explain their drought strategies in natural habitat.

This study was performed to evaluate the efficiency of using softwood as the sawdust medium for Lentinula edodes cultivation, effect of nutrient on the mycelial growth, spawning, the mushroom yield, and quality. The nitrogen nutrition significantly enhanced the mycelial growth of L. edodes. The glutamic acid in the L. leptolepis and P. koraiensis, and asparagine in the P. densiflora were appeared to slight increase in the mycelial growth. The vegetable oil showed very effective on the mycelial growth in the P. koraiensis sawdust medium. Carbon/nitrogen ratio of all the test was reduced after mycelial growth. The mycelial growth was exclusively dependent on reduction of carbon. The mushroom yield (32.7%) of the P. densiflora sawdust medium (carbon source: 3% active carbon, nitrogen source: 0.4% asparagines) was the best in mushroom production of L. edodes, followed by the Q. variabilis sawdust (35.4%) of the control medium. The diameter of mushroom cap was obtained from the P. densiflora sawdust (carbon source: 3% sucrose, nitrogen source: 0.4% potassium nitrate) and P. koraiensis sawdust (carbon source: 3% sucrose, nitrogen source: 0.4% potassium nitrate), and the P. koraiensis sawdust (carbon source: 3% xylose, nitrogen source: 0.4% glutamic acid, supplement: 0.05% amino acid), with values 71.5 mm, 71.5 mm and 72.1 mm, respectively. In the polypropylene bag cultivation, the weight losses of the block medium gradually increased for 80 days in the dark (13.8~16.8%) and then became stable in the range of 20.7~25.8%.
