  • In the view point of the environmental conservation and the energy reduction, the recycling of metal scrap is coming as one of the global subjects in the world. In this study, the movement of intermetallics with electromagnetic force in a melt of a scrap of Al-Si-Cu alloy (JIS ADC12), which was widely used in diecasting process, was investigated in order to eliminate the Fe element, which was usually accumulated in a scrap. In this study, we applied electromagnetic method to eliminate Fe element in ADC12 aluminum alloy scrap which contains 1.64wt.% Fe and the effects of electromagnetic force on the particle movement was visualized and confirmed by water modeling and experiment. As a result, the Fe intermetallic compounds are moved to the direction opposite to that of the electromagnetic force as the force applies, thus eliminated from the bulk metal. Therefore, the content of Fe in matrix decreased from 1.64wt.% to 0.45wt.%.

가시오가피 추출물의 항당뇨 활성 및 GLUT4 유전자 발현에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Antidiabetic and GLUT4 gene Expression of Acanthopanax senticosus Extracts)

  • Antidiabetic effects of an aqueous and solvent extract prepared from the root, stem and fruit parts of Acanthopanax senticosus, were investigated in experimental Streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats model. The n-butanol and water extracts of A. senticosus were orally administrated once a day for 6 days. The n-butanol extracts of fruit (FB) showed highest efficiency than other groups (water extracts of stem, root and fruit; butanol extracts of stem, root) on serum glucose values in the STZ-induced diabetic rats. We have studied gene expression of glucose transporter genes in C2C12 skeletal muscle cell line during differentiation treated by the n-butanol and water extracts of A. senticosus, SW, RW, FW, SB, RB and FB. The GLUT4 gene was high expressed by FB treatment. These findings suggest that FB of A. senticosus have GLUT4 gene expression activity for glucose homeostasis and may have beneficial effects on blood glucose lowering in the diabetic patients.

애기땅빈대의 항산화 활성 성분 (Antioxidative Constituents from the Whole Plants of Euphorbia supina)

  • Eight compounds were isolated from the EtOAc soluble fraction of Euphorbia supina MeOH extract as the radical scavengers for antioxidant activity. Their structures were identified as kaempferol (1), quercetin (2), juglanin (3), avicularin (4), astragalin (5), isoquercitrin (6), hyperin (7), and nicotiflorin (8) by spectroscopic analysis. The antioxidant activity was evaluated by the ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) assay, which measures scavenging activity against peroxy radicals induced by 2,2'-azobis (2-methylpropionamidine) dihydrochloride, and the ORAC value is expressed as relative trolox equivalent. Compounds 4, 6, and 7 exhibited potent antioxidant activity, whereas the other compounds showed weaker activity than trolox.

한 도시 분진의 유해성 입도 분포에 대한 조사 연구 (Particle Size Distribution of Suspended Particulates in the Atmosphere of a Seoul Residential Area)

  • The particle size of suspended particulates was measured by a Anderson air sampler from Mar. 1982 to Feb. 1984 in a part of Seoul. It was concluded as follows : 1) The arithmetic concentration of suspended particulates was $147.8{\mu}g/m^3$ in Spring, 136.9 in Summer, 131.9 in Autumn and 158.1 in Winter respectively. 2) The cumulative distribution of suspended particulates size in logarithmic diagram showed similar to normal log distribution. 3) The atmospheric particulate matters showed a bimodal size distribution on the base of unit particle concentrations, which divided at approximately $2{\mu}m$ in the diameter. 4) While the fine particulates less than $2.1{\mu}m\;was\;35.4{\sim}45.0%$, the coarse particulates was $55.0{\sim}64.5%$. 5) The higher the concentration of suspended particulates, the more increased the ratio of fine particulates. The higher the concentration of suspended particulates, the lower median size of suspended particulate as well. 6) The respirable dust particulates less than $4.7{\mu}m\;was\;52.2{\sim}62.9%$ in seasonal average through the 2 year samples. With the above result, air pollution concerned with public health could be evaluated and the control measures also are suggested.

  • In this paper proposed method of maximum power point tracking using boost converter for a connected single phase inverter with photovoltaic system. The maximum power point tracking control is based on generated circuit control MOSFET switch of boost converter and single phase inverter uses predicted current control to control four IGBT's switch in full bridge. The predicted current control provide current with sinusoidal wave shape and inphase with voltage. The generation control circuit allows each photovoltaic module to operate independently at peak capacity, simply by detecting of the output power of the system. Furthermore, the generation control circuit attenuates low-frequency ripple voltage, which is caused by the full-bridge inverter, across the photovoltaic modules. Consequently, the output power of system is increased due to the increase in average power generated by the photovoltaic modules. The effectiveness of the proposed inverter system is confirmed experimentally and by means of simulation.

  • A systematic study of Cu CMP in terms of the effect of slurry chemicals(oxidizer, corrosion inhibitor, complexing agent) on the process characteristics has been performed. In acidic media, a corrosion inhibitor, benzotriazole(BTA) and tolytriazol(TTA) was used to control the removal rate and avoid isotropic etching. When complexing agent is added with $H_2O_2$ 2wt% in the slurry, a corrosion rate was presented very good. Most of in, it was appeared that BTA is possible to be replaced by TTA. The tartaric acid was distinguished for the effect among complexing agents. n we apply this results to copper CMP process, it is thought that we will be able to obtain better yield.

  • 공동주택 수익모델의 가치를 형성하는 요소 중 영향도가 큰 물리적 요소는 주택의 평형변화로서 이를 중심으로 리모델링의 대안을 제안한다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 공동주택의 가치형성요인과 공간구성기법을 이용한 큰 평형의 세대를 작은 평형의 세대로 분할하는 모델과 작은 평형의 세대를 통합하여 큰 평형의 세대로 변환하는 모델의 수익모델을 설정하여 경제성은 '보통'이상 '양호'한 것으로 나타났으며, 경제성 평가값은 할인율이 증가함에 따라 감소하며 리모델링의 경제성이 우수해지는 것으로 나타남을 알 수 있다.

테마제팜 연질캅셀제의 제조와 가토에 있어서 생체이용율 (Preparation of Temazepam Soft Elastic Gelatin Capsule (Softgel) and Bioavailability in Rabbits)

  • This study was carried out for the purpose of developing an effective temazepam soft elastic gelatin capsule (softgel) which exhibits an excellent bioavailability and of comparing the rate and extent of absorption of temazepam from the marked elixir and prepared softgel using hydrophilic liquid such as polyethylene glycol 400 as a suspending agent by rotary die method. Both softgel and elixir containing 3 mg of temazepam were given to 7 healthy male New Zealand White rabbits in a single oral dose cross-over study. Plasma temazepam concentrations were measured by HPLC. The mean peak concentrations of temazepam following a single oral dosing as softgel and elixir dosage form were 13.84 and 13.25 ng/ml, respectively. And the mean time to peak concentration was 1.29 hr for the softgel and 1.07 hr for the elixir. There was no significant difference in the extent of drug absorption (AUC) for the two different dosage froms (p>0.05). While the softgel exhibited mean lag time of 0.63 hr, the elixir did not show any lag time. Statistical moment parameters such as the mean residence time and variance of the mean residence time did not differ significantly for the two formulations.

FIR을 이용한 CV-CUSUM 관리도의 통계적 설계 (Statistical Design of CV-CUSUM Control Chart Using Fast Initial Response)

  • The coefficient of variation represents the ratio of the standard deviation to the mean, and it is a useful statistic for comparing the degree of variation from one data series to another, even if the means are drastically different from each other. Recently, the CV control chart is developed for monitoring processes in such situations. However, the CV control chart has low performance in detecting small shift. Due to the development of equipment and technique, currently, small shift of process occurs more frequently than large shift. In this paper, we proposes the CV-CUSUM control chart using CUSUM scheme which is cumulative sum of the deviations between each data point and a target value to detect a small shift in the process. We also found that the FIR(fast initial response) CUSUM control chart is especially valuable at start-up or after a CV-CUSUM control chart has signaled out-of-control.

요인 실험계획법 회귀분석을 이용한 소경 엔드밀의 공구수명에 대한 연구 (A Study on tool life in the high speed machining of small-size end mill by factorial design of experiments and regression model)

  • High speed machining(HSM) technique is widely used in the appliance, automobile part and mold industries, because it has many advantages such as good quality, low cost and rapid machining time. But it also has problems such as tool breakage, smooth tool path, and so on. In particular, small size end mill is easy to break, so it must be changed before interrupting operation. Generally, the tool life of small size end mill is affected by the milling conditions whose selected parameters are spindle speed, feedrate, and width of cut. The experiments were carried out by full factorial design of experiments using an orthogonal array. This paper shows optimal combination and mathematical model for tool life, Therefore, the analysis of variance(ANOVA) is employed to analyze the main effects and the interactions of these milling parameters and the second-order polynomial regression model with three independent variables is estimated to predict tool life by multiple regression analysis.
