Objective : The purpose of this study was to lay the groundwork for understanding the details and scope of the legal definition of medicinal products, following the changes in the relevant laws and regulations. This will let readers properly understand the origins of the ongoing conflicts on herbal drugs and new drugs from natural products that are present in the medical field and the medical industry. Possible solutions are proposed in the end. Method : I analyzed the changes in definition of medicinal products since 1945 that have been used in relevant laws and regulations(i.e. Pharmaceutical Affairs Act) and drug approval process(i.e. New Drug Application and Investigational New Drug Application). Results : Legal definition of medicinal products has changed in accordance with the changes in the pharmaceutical industry, such as the establishment of dualistic medical and pharmaceutical System and the introduction of the substance patent. Due to those changes, boundaries of Western medicinal products and health food expanded, while those of herbal medicine products relatively downscaled. Conclusion : Legal definition of medicinal products-i.e. Herbal Drugs, Crude Drugs, and New Drugs from Natural Products-should be reestablished according to academic legitimacy and dualistic medical and pharmaceutical System.
By the means of pervasiveness of ICT, ICT firms in the dynamic competition try to get the competitive advantage through the combination with the other industrial technologies and the firms in other industries also seek innovations in this way. To ICT suppliers, the application industries were completely different before but if ICT is applied to that industries once, the convergence phenomenon could occur as a part of an ICT industry. So, this research focuses the causality between ICT supplier's behavior and technological convergence according to the research question about what should ICT firms do for ICT convergence. We observed technological changes in the automotive industry through the Nasdaq listed firms' patent activities of 10-year period from the perspective of evolutionary theory. As a result, while the innovativeness of technological trials by ICT suppliers enhances the possibility of technological convergence, diversity of those can reduce the emergence of ICT convergence. This implies that ICT firms should focus specialized technologies for convergence rather than various technological options for the uncertain future.
Purpose: In this study, we apply environmental stress screening (ESS) to battle management system (BMS) of a tank and use the ESS profile based on production process data, guided by MIL-HDBK-781/344/2164. Methods: To optimize ESS Profile of the BMS of a tank, we estimate ESS model parameters (e.g., defect density, screening strength) using primary production failure reporting and corrective action system (FRACAS) data of military supply contract firm. Results: First, we collect the Primary production FRACAS data of military supply contract firm. Second, we compute curve fitting approach to find patent defect density and latent defect density using FRACAS data. Third, we solve the equation of Defect Density(patent defect density + latent defect density)($D_{IN}$) and Screening Strength(SS) Using second step data. As a result of analysis according to the order, we calculate $D_{IN}$(Temperature stress case : 74.02, Vibration stress : 10.252) and : SS(Temperature stress case : 0.4632, Vibration stress : 0.4142) and confirm the Condition II-D based on MIL-HDBK-344. According to Condition II-D, it is necessary to modify existing ESS profile through decreasing the $D_{IN}$ and increasing the SS. Conclusion: Identification of defect causes through ESS approach reduce defect densities for production. It provides feedback to a lessons-learned data base to avoid similar problems on next generation tank BMS.
Objectives : Trend of R&D of herbal medicine for dementia treatment was examined based on the quantitative information analysis for establishing the national strategy of research on dementia treatment with oriental medicine. Methods : Definition was made to clarify the technology for development of herbal medicine for dementia treatment. Based on the initial keyword provided by experts in the field, queries were compounded to conduct search in the search engines of WoS and DWPI. The raw data (papers or patents) extracted from the initial search were examined by expert-review before objects of analysis were determined. Then, the accumulated data was analyzed in terms of year, country and organization, which led to examination of the trend of R&D. And the research performance evaluation for dementia treatment technologies was also made in terms of country, organization and researcher based on the forward citation analysis. The international cooperation intensity was examined on the basis of analysis of network by researcher before analysis results were put together to select lead researchers. Results : According to the quantitative information analysis of 1,330 articles that were selected as analysis objects, the number of papers on natural products research for dementia treatment has increased by around 4.6 times in recent five years. This indicates that the intensive studies have been underway recently. It was found to be the US that had the highest level in research filed of herbal medicine for dementia treatment and the highest capacity of international cooperation for that purpose. On the contrary, Korea had the share of papers at 5.1%, the number of countries in cooperation research at 8, and the article quality index at 0.40, showing that the qualitative level was insufficient, compared to the quantitative outcome. In particular, Korea was found to have no intensity of international cooperation among researchers. In case of patent, the results of information analysis of 305 patents selected as analysis objects demonstrated that China had the highest share while Korea had the very low frequency of patent application quantitatively. Conclusions : In this study, the research to develop herbal medicine for dementia treatment has recently drawn much attention that has spread around the globe. Therefore, these results suggest establishing the strategy to develop technology for dementia treatment with oriental medicine in the future based on quantitative information analysis.

Because the USV(Unmanned Surface Vehicle) is capable of remote control or autonomous navigation at sea, it can secure the superiority of combat power while minimizing human losses in a future combat environment. To plan the technology for the development of USV, the trend analysis of related technology and the selection of promising technology should be preceded, but there has been little research in this area. The purpose of this paper was to measure and evaluate the technology trends quantitatively. For this purpose, this study analyzed the technology trends and selected promising/declining technologies using topic modeling of papers and patent data. As a result of topic modeling, promising technologies include control and navigation, verification/validation, autonomous level, mission module, and application technology, and declining technologies include underwater communication and image processing technology. This study also identified new technology areas that were not included in the existing technology classification, e.g., technology related to research and development of USV, artificial intelligence, launch/recovery, and operation, such as cooperation with manned and unmanned systems. The technology trends and new technology areas identified through this study may be used to derive key technologies related to the development of the USV and establish appropriate R&D policies.
Recently, social enterprises in the korean are gaining more interest but, it seems that many social enterprises are not successful in their sustainability. Therefore government implements various supporting policies for social enterprise. The purpose of this paper is to find new criteria of business development expense through the analysis of submitted application of business development expense. For this study, business development expense data of 126 social enterprises(applied to the Busan in 2013 year) for supporting money are analyzed. The result shows that (1) need to apply 1 or 2 business that is the most important in their business (2) concerns about the patent, engineering development, prototype model development, program development taken IT business are very desirable (3) need to feedback about last year result (4) need to make more elaborate guideline for application (5) none of social enterprise applied co-marketing (brand), therefore a strong inducement plan is need In conclusion, effective and strategic policy of business development expense will be a helpful for the sustainability of social enterprises. In this sense, the results of this study is meaningful to the social enterprise policy, especially business development expense, maker.
In order to achieve carbon neutrality, it is necessary to commercialize and popularize carbon dioxide capture technology, so the purpose of this study is to put forward the design of public facilities suitable for public environment. In the design direction of public facilities for carbon capture and environmental purification, the application of carbon capture technology in air, the application of carbon capture and adsorption materials, and carbon reduction recycling are selected for development. In order to achieve carbon neutrality, this study develops a new concept of public facility design which is different from the existing public facilities in public space. From this point of view, it has great enlightenment significance. Public facilities adopting carbon-neutral technology are environmentally friendly public facilities that conform to the times, and can be installed in parks, roads and other spaces. With the rest of citizens and the role of communities, it is expected to contribute to popularization and activation.
The purpose of this study is to analyze subjective and objective factors for the successful operation of One-Person Creative Firms and find significant variables in accordance with the sales and net profit that are representing business performances. Additionally, we were trying to find that what One-Person Creative Firms have had a government assistance need the supports in order to achieving a good performance in sales and net profit. In the result of this study, the sales volume is related that two(2) subjective(Judgment, Planning) and four(4) objective factors(Patent Application, Patent Registration, Business Duration, Initial Capital). The net profit is related that Challenging Spirits in subjective factors and Run-up to the Business, Business Duration, Initial Capital in objective factors. Ultimately, these factors are important variables for the sales and net profit in relationship both the positive(+) and negative(-). With the decline in the college student population and the increase in the youth unemployment rate, the university began to be interested in starting a business. Under the initiative of the government, the start-up support project was reflected in the university's educational programs, which led to the university students receiving various start-up support benefits. In response to the expansion of entrepreneurship education, various entrepreneurship education programs and support programs were applied in line with the government's efforts to start college students. As a result, students' entrepreneurial competence and willingness to start up increased. College student entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs are increasing. The increase of university student start-up companies is taking place in the entrepreneurial education environment within the university, and the support of university, community, and start-up support institutions for university student start-up, the starting point of the start-up ecosystem, is paying off. It can be seen that the youth entrepreneurship ecosystem based on university entrepreneurship education is in place. The university supports the entire business process from idea development, such as start-up classes, start-up club support, patent application support, prototype development support, and investment linkage. However, there is a university that develops and operates a unique program for each school and a university that does not. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an education program that can produce efficient results. The purpose of this study is to support the start-up program of the university to be the consumer-centered start-up support.
