When purchasing apples and pears, dietitians considered taste as the first criteria and price as the second. Respondents perceived that elementary school students preferred apples and pears in a neutral level. Respondents also had higher preference for an-sim apples which can be eaten without peeling for school lunch menu and higher intentions to provide in school lunch menu. The survey results also found that respondents' intention to offer apples in school lunch menu was higher than intentions to offer pears. • The present study was conducted to analyze high school students' attitudes toward jean brand counterfeits relative to their self-esteem and self-consciousness. The study was implemented through a normative-descriptive survey using questionnaire. The sample consisted of 605 high school students from 6 high schools located in Seoul. Data were analyzed by mean, cluster analysis, regression, ANOVA and Duncan's test. The results were as follows: (1) As a whole, the mean values of preference and purchasing intentions toward counterfeit jeans were 2.99 and 2.83, respectively, indicating a slightly low average on the 5-point Likert scale. The results indicated that 45.5% of respondents have more than one item of counterfeit jeans. (2) Differences were found in the level of self-esteem and public self-consciousness among the three groups, who were classified by the level of purchasing intention and preference toward counterfeit jeans. Among the three groups (high/middle/low), the group having low purchasing intention and preference toward counterfeit jeans showed higher self-esteem and public self-consciousness than the other two groups. (3)Regression analysis showed that the self-esteem and public self-consciousness of high school students have an impact on the amount of purchasing of counterfeit jeans. (4)In the process of developing effective policies against the jean brand counterfeits market, it should be fully considered that high school students' purchasing intentions regarding jean brand counterfeits are related to their self-consciousness. It could be said that the policies followed to eliminate counterfeits and to enhance the consumer ethics of high school students will be more effective when those policies are accompanied by efforts to form their sound self-consciousness, especially in the areas of self-esteem and public self-consciousness.

  • In the 21st century, the demand for eco-friendly leather, such as eco-leather and vegan leather, is steadily increasing. This study examines the influence of eco-friendliness on consumers' purchasing intentions and the possibility of eco-friendly changes in the fashion accessory market, which is dominated by leather material and leather substitutes. This study administered a questionnaire survey to 227 males and females between 20 and 60 years of age in Korea. With a 5-point Likert scale, data were collected on evaluation criteria when purchasing shoes and bags and purchasing intention of various leather substitute materials according to the democratic variables. The eco-friendliness attitude was divided into eco-consciousness and green behavior. As the eco-friendly attitude increased, most purchasing standards increased, but the purchasing criteria, such as trends, brands, and prices, did not correlate with the eco-friendly attitude. The eco-consciousness of a consumer had a high correlation with the design evaluation criteria, while the green behavior of the consumer aligned with durability and comfort criteria when purchasing a bag. There was a preference for recycled leather, vegetable leather, synthetic leather, and chemical leather, and the fabric type was ranked as natural fiber, biodegradable fiber, and synthetic fiber. Consumers with both green behavior and eco-consciousness are more likely to purchase biodegradable textiles and vegetable leather for the material of shoes and bags.

  • The purpose of this study was to know about the influence of consumers' knowledge level(expert vs novice) on their behavioral intentions by the storytelling about local foods. Reviewing previous storytelling studies related to local foods containing each region's traditional food culture in Korea, it can identify that most studies focused on the necessity of storytelling, the discovery of story materials, the importance of storytelling for food tour. Therefore, this study tried to know about how the storytelling about local foods influenced on the consumers' behavioral intentions, and set the attributes of storytelling and the consumers' local food-purchasing region as adjustable variances. Finally, in case that the consumers' knowledge level was low and their food-purchasing regions were not same, this study suggested the attributes of most preferred storytelling by consumers. By doing so, this study tried to discover the storytelling skills of local foods representing each region or to suggest a method to increase the cultural values of each local food in case of creating a story about the local food.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop and test a conceptual model of purchase intentions, positive emotion, and e-servicescape that is defined as the online environment factors that exist during service delivery. Survey research method was used to gather data regarding consumers' perceptions of e-servicescape. Surveys were administered to 681 college students who experienced purchasing fashion products on the Internet. The results showed that e-servicescapes perceived by fashion consumers were composed of three dimensions: (1) Aesthetic appeal, (2) Ambient conditions, and (3) Layout & functionality. These dimensions of e-servicescape influenced consumers to lead positive emotions and purchase intentions. Additionally, positive emotions constituted a key variable for the purchase intention of fashion products during online exchange. The study revealed that consumers' interpretations of online environments exerted a powerful influence over positive emotion and purchase intentions. Also, it strongly endorsed the view that the purchase intentions of customers were linked to the extent to which they feel positive emotions by the e-service provider. This study provides insights into how consumers' interpretations of e-servicescape affect their subsequent positive emotions and ultimately their intentions to purchase. The findings of this study also have numerous implications for both services managers and internet developers related to fashion products.

  • The environment friendly lifestyle and the green product trend have motivated corporates to develop and adopt sustainable business practices. However, an increasing number of corporations have engaged in greenwashing practices to create the appearance of environmental responsibility. By employing the theory of reasoned action, the paper investigated a model linking corporate greenwashing and consumers' green purchase intentions with the mediating role of green trust and green word-of-mouth about green electronic devices in Vietnam. Using an online survey via Email, Zalo, and Wechat, data was obtained from 308 Vietnamese consumers who have been purchasing green electronic devices. Based on the responses of the participants from the questionnaires conducted, data analysis was conducted by using SEM in AMOS version 23. This investigation shows that corporate greenwashing negatively affects consumers' green trust, green word-of-mouth, and their green buying intentions. Additionally, the paper verifies that green trust and green word-of-mouth mediate the relationships between greenwashing and consumers' green purchase intentions. These results reinforce the extant understanding of greenwashing and its consequences. Finally, the study not only stimulates future research but serves as a reference for business managers, scholars, and students who are interested on the topic of environmental sustainability, new product development, and green brands.

  • Mobile shopping, through the use of the smart phone, has become a very popular shopping method for consumers due to it not being limited by time or place. This research aims do the following:1)find the causes for consumers shifting to mobile shopping with the focus on fashion and beauty items; and in order to so, this research will use the TAM that was found by David et al (1989), and 2) distinguish any behavioral differences between consumer groups divided into purchasing intention of fashion and beauty items through smart phone. Path analysis was performed to verify the cause-and-effect relationship between the variables. Personal characteristics(i.e. market maven, time orientation), perceived usability, ease of use, attitude towards mobile shopping, and purchase intentions were all treated as dependant variables. The results showed that attitude towards mobile shopping was the most important variable on mobile shopping intentions. Time-oriented and Market Maven were thought to affect mobile shopping attitude and the dependent variables of purchase intention. Also, when purchasing smart phones, consumers highly valued smart phone's popularity; people with higher purchasing intention mainly used entertainment and utility apps. The following are the main reasons for not purchasing through mobile shopping: they are slower than computers, inconveniences in viewing due to small size of the screen, and security issues. The consumers used the internet as their main source of acquiring daily information. In this research, factors that affect the purchase intention were studied. However, it is difficult to firmly insist that this research correctly predicts the actual purchase intention-further studies need to be done to investigate the relationship between mobile purchase intention and actual purchase intention.
