The purpose of this study is to address marketing strategies for the brand extension of university-licensed merchandise by investigating influences on intent to purchase a new university-licensed merchandise line, tartan. A survey questionnaire was developed and administered online to the major target market for university-licensed merchandise. Four hundred and fifty students and alumni from a US Midwestern university completed the survey. Respondents were asked to answer questions on university identification, perceived university prestige, perceived value of the university-licensed merchandise, intent to purchase a brand extension in university-licensed merchandise, and demographics. It was hypothesized that university identification (H1) and perceived university prestige (H2) are positively related to the perceived value of the university-licensed merchandise and that perceived value of the university-licensed merchandise is positively related to intent to purchase a brand extension in university-licensed merchandise (H3). The difference between students and alumni was also tested. Consumers with high university identification and high perceived university prestige highly valued the university-licensed merchandise. Consumers who perceived a high value of the current university-licensed merchandise displayed a strong intent to purchase a brand extension in university-licensed merchandise. There was no structural difference between the two groups. The study builds on existing research on the influences of attitudes toward the university and university-licensed merchandise on purchasing university-licensed merchandise, specifically investigating intent to purchase a brand extension in university-licensed merchandise. This study also extends previous brand-extension research into university-licensed merchandise.
Purpose: This study examined the influence of the consumption values on the attitudes and purchase intentions of consumers towards gluten-free products and compared consumption values, attitudes and purchase intentions according to the degree of health consciousness of the consumer. Methods: The data was collected from July 20, 2016 to August 2, 2016 through a questionnaire survey from three hundred and six consumers who had knowledge of gluten-free products. The data was analyzed by factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, and an independent sample t-test using the SPSS program. Results: The regression results showed that the exploratory value (p<0.01) had a negative influence on the attitudes, and the functional value (p<0.001) and emotional value (p<0.001) had a positive influence on the consumers' attitudes. In addition, the attitudes (p<0.001) toward gluten-free products had a positive influence on the purchase intentions. Finally, the high health consciousness group answered with a significantly higher score on the consumption values, attitudes and purchase intentions than the lower group. Conclusion: These results highlight the causal relationship among consumption values, attitudes, and purchase intentions of consumers towards gluten-free products, and can provide a basic understanding of gluten free products regarding both marketing strategy and consumers' needs. The potential implications for gluten-free products manufacturers, limitations and future research directions are also discussed.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of digital cultural contents characteristics, perceived values and perceived risks on customer satisfaction and purchase intentions for Chinese consumers, and contribute to the development of digital cultural contents. In addition, a total of 328 valid samples were obtained through an online survey and empirical analysis was conducted. The analysis results of the study are as follows. First, except for creativity, which are characteristics of digital cultural contexts, entertainment and interactivity also have a significantly positive effect on both customer satisfaction and purchase intention. Second, perceived value has a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction and purchase intention, whereas perceived risk does not have this significant effect. Third, customer satisfaction has a partial mediating effect between the three factors(entertainment, interactivity, perceived value) and purchase intention. Therefore, to promote the development of digital cultural contents, we could promote consumers' purchase behavior by improving satisfaction through content entertainment, communication between content producers and service providers, and unity and value that customers actually feel during the consumption process.

By using SPSS, frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, t-test and ANOVA were conducted. The results of the study were as follow; first, consumer's purchase behavior appeared to be influenced by the order of pleasure of shopping, economic value and item variety. Repurchase intention appeared to be affected by the order of economic value, item variety, and pleasure of shopping. Purpose - This research aims to investigate the effects that the selection of oriental medicine cosmetics and brand asset attributes have on consumers' economic, emotional and social values in order to shed light on the forms and characteristics of consumption within the globally developing oriental medicine cosmetics market, and in the end positively verify how such perceived values affect purchase intention. In addition, it proposes research outcomes by comparing the differences between national and cultural consumer purchase behavior based on the comparisons of consumer groups in South Korea and China, the major markets for oriental medicine cosmetics. Research design, data, and methodology - Based on advanced research a total of 9 hypotheses were designed and questionnaires consisting of 16 questions to identify six major variables were conducted. Research was carried out centered on Seoul, South Korea, and its surrounding metropolitan area as well as Beijing and Shanghai, China, and a total of 577 sets of significant data were collected. A comparison analysis was then conducted on the data from 285 Koreans and 292 Chinese. A regression analysis and path analysis were also carried out based on a structural equation model to suggest results. Results - Research results show brand value assets had a more crucial impact on consumers' perceived value than consumer selection of oriental medicine cosmetics, while emotional value had a bigger effect on purchase intension than social or economic values. For Chinese consumers in particular, social, economic and emotional values affected purchase intention, while emotional value was the most crucial factor for Korean consumers. Conclusions - With oriental medicine cosmetics, brand characteristics and images that helped express emotional desire proved to be more effective in marketing than the performance aspect of cosmetics, including their functions and ingredients. In the end, products that highlight individual desire and emotion should be introduced instead of those that emphasize price, functions and social characteristics in order to expand the global market of oriental medicine cosmetics.

With the advent of Metaverse, a promising new era for business on virtual reality (VR) platforms has dawned. In this rapidly expanding Metaverse platform, the potential for virtual fashion marketing through avatars is vast, with leading fashion brands already making strides by creating virtual fashion stores or hosting virtual fashion shows. However, the research on fashion-related industries in this newly emerging virtual world platform is still in its infancy. This study sought to identify the relationship between the characteristics of the Metaverse and the factors that influence how the perceived value of virtual fashion products affects purchase intention. A survey was conducted with three hundred Korean respondents, and the hypothesis was verified through analysis using the SPSS statistical program. Our analysis revealed that the sense of presence significantly influences the value of fashion products on the Metaverse platform. As a result, the sense of presence significantly influenced the emotional, visual authority, and economic value of the avatar virtual fashion perceived by users. Second, enjoyment, visual authority, and economic value influence users' intention to purchase virtual fashion items. In addition, all of these perceived value factors were confirmed to have a significant partial mediating effect on the impact of the presence of the Metaverse platform on the purchase intention. Through this study, we empirically analyzed the causal relationship between the characteristics of the Metaverse platform and the virtual fashion experience using avatars - a topic that has yet to be covered. We formed new insights into virtual fashion consumption, providing primary data for related research streams. Our survey respondents consisted only of those with recent Metaverse experience, so the research results were highly effective.
