  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify factors that affect decision-making for e-commerce users and to present ecommerce companies with the company's strategic directions for consumer purchases. Research design, data, and methodology: In this study, a structured research model was derived to confirm the relationship between brand image, product liking, heuristic and purchase intention and the difference according to psychological power. For analysis a total of 212 valid questionnaires from e-commerce users were used. confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equations were conducted to verify. Results: Both brand image and product liking had a significant effect on purchase intention as well as heuristics. However, heuristics did not affect the purchase intention. It was found that the relationship between brand image, product liking, heuristic, and purchase intention differed depending on the psychological power. Conclusions: Companies should seek ways to increase the positive brand image and likability of products so that consumers can quickly purchase products. In the relationship between brand image and heuristic, the low-psychological group has more influence on heuristic, and in case of product liking, the high-psychological group has more influence on heuristic. In the relationship between brand image and product liking for purchase intention, both in the high psychological power group affect more influence on purchase intention. Since the process of purchasing products varies depending on the consumer psychological power tendency, it is necessary to identify the characteristics of consumers and establish strategies for purchasing promotion measures.

  • This study aims to investigate the factors influencing donation intention when the option to donate is presented during a purchase decision. Through an experimental design, we examined how price differences and reference group effects impact donation intention. We created stimuli with three price difference conditions (high, low, and control) and two levels of referent power (high and low), and involved 480 Korean consumer panels in the experiments. After controlling for psychological reactance levels, a two-way MANCOVA confirmed the main effects of price difference and referent power but found no interaction effect between these variables. Notably, consumers were less likely to feel guilty for not selecting the donation option when its price was slightly higher than that of the non-donation option, compared to the scenario where the prices were the same. Additionally, consumers exposed to high referent power experienced greater irritation, guilt, and shame if they did not choose the donation option compared to the low referent power group. Multiple regression results showed that guilt significantly influenced the intention to purchase a donation option, whereas irritation and shame did not. These findings suggest that understanding situational factors such as price differences and referent power can help develop effective marketing strategies and encourage voluntary participation in donations.

  • This study analyzes consumer fashion purchase patterns from a big data perspective. Transaction data from 1 million transactions at two Korean fashion brands were collected. To analyze the data, R, Python, the SPADE algorithm, and network analysis were used. Various consumer purchase patterns, including overall purchase patterns, seasonal purchase patterns, and age-specific purchase patterns, were analyzed. Overall pattern analysis found that a continuous purchase pattern was formed around the brands' popular items such as t-shirts and blouses. Network analysis also showed that t-shirts and blouses were highly centralized items. This suggests that there are items that make consumers loyal to a brand rather than the cachet of the brand name itself. These results help us better understand the process of brand equity construction. Additionally, buying patterns varied by season, and more items were purchased in a single shopping trip during the spring season compared to other seasons. Consumer age also affected purchase patterns; findings showed an increase in purchasing the same item repeatedly as age increased. This likely reflects the difference in purchasing power according to age, and it suggests that the decision-making process for pur- chasing products simplifies as age increases. These findings offer insight for fashion companies' establishment of item-specific marketing strategies.

  • The purposes of this study were to determine the consumer dissatisfaction factors in the process of purchase and use of clothing, and to investigate the relationships between the dissatisfaction factors and selected variables-clothing importance, evaluative attributes, price, shopping stores. The research questionnaires selected from the pilot study were administered to 547 female subjects in the age of twenties. The dissatisfaction factors identified as a result of the factor analysis were as follows: (1) 'price' factor ($21.6\%$ of the total explained variance), (2) 'product assortment' factor ($21.5\%$), (3) 'purchase decision-making' factor ($19.9\%$), (4) 'quality' factor ($18.6\%$), (5) 'information and service' factor ($18.4\%$). By these five factors, the $34.7\%$ of the total variance were explained. The factors were validated by the multiple regression analysis. The purchase decisionmaking factor has the greatest explanatory power suggests that psychological aspects are more important to clothing dissatisfaction than any other objective aspects. The relationships between the dissatisfaction factors and the selected variables were found to be as follows: 1) The higher clothing importance scores, the higher product assortment related dissatisfaction score. 2) The higher the purchase price, the lower the price related dissatisfaction, but the higher the product assortment related dissatisfaction scores. 3) The department store and the national brand chain store shoppers had higher product assortment related dissatisfaction compared to the small retail store and discount store shoppers.
