Data were collected from 567 2nd grade female middle and high school students in Seoul via self-administered questionnaires. and were analysed by frequency factor analysis ANOVA cluster analysis χ2 -test and Duncan's multiple range test. The results of this study were as follows: As a results of cluster analysis and ANOVA on seven factors of desion-making styles(1. brand-consiousness 2. novelty/fashion-consciousness 3. recreational/hedonis-tic orientation, 4. impulsive/carelessness, 5. price-consciousness/value-for-money, 6. perfectionism/high quality orientation 7. habitual/brand-royal consciousness) three consumer groups were identified and labeled as puality-oriented/non-utlitarian shoppers price-oriented shoppers and apathetic shoppers. • Purpose - Most of the amendments to the law on the improvement of the distribution structure of mobile communication terminal equipment, the fully self-sufficient system of terminals, and the separated disclosure system on the terminals are aimed at securing transparency of the distribution structure by eliminating or reducing handset subsidies. This study investigates what items are important for the purchase of mobile phones in various and rapidly changing mobile phone markets from the consumer's point of view and tries to make a strategic suggestion for future mobile distribution strategies. Research design, data, and methodology - The procedure of this study takes place in four steps. In step 1, only the SF type respondents selected for this study were extracted through MBTI analysis. In step 2, they were divided into three hierarchies for the AHP analysis and each element was arranged. In step 3, the AHP analysis was converted to a Fuzzy-AHP number using the trigonometric centroid method. This was to eliminate the ambiguity of the response by converting into a fuzzy number even if data consistency was maintained with CI value below 0.1. In step 4, the number of converted 2-layer and 3-layer was combined to derive the priority when the final handset is selected. Results - First, the highest importance among the four items in the second tier was the terminal function item, followed by brand, price, and design item. Second, in the third tier, the highest importance was level of after-sales service, followed by device price, processing speed, ease of use, usefulness, and rate system. Third, the arithmetic average of the determinant of the fuzzy function showed that processing speed, ease of use and usefulness in the function item, level of after-sales service in the brand item, and device price in the price item were the five most important factors among 16 choice factors. Conclusions - First, there will be a change in the consumption patterns of consumers who have compared distributors and dealers to purchase handsets with more subsidies. Second, it is highly likely that people will purchase new handsets only when they need to change their devices because they can not receive subsidies by switching phone brands any more.

  • For some consumer goods, consumers expect additional benefits or returns after purchasing or using them. This kind of consumer goods that consumers expect some additional benefits or returns after consumption (hereafter consumer goods of investment or CGOI) need not only an approach of simple purchasing perspective but also an approach from investment perspective. Current study tries to figure out if consumers react differently in their purchasing intentions toward CGOI between when they focus on the product's quality, functions, or other current state related information (i.e., simple purchase focus) and when they focus on the benefits that will be generated after using the product (i.e., investment focus). According to the results, while consumers' purchasing intentions toward CGOI in the investment mode are greater when the price is low than when the price is high, consumers' purchasing intentions toward CGOI in the simple purchasing mode are greater when the price is hgih than when the price is low.

In order to accomplish following subjects were established. First it is to find the effect of extrinsic cues -price brand store - on perceived quality perceived risk perceived value and purchase intention of clothing products. Second it is to formulate a model of clothing products evaluation and find the relation among the variables such as extrinsic cues perceived quality perceived risk perceived value and purchase intention. This research was mainly divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part previous theories and studies on clothing products cues clothing products evaluation perceived quality perceived risk and perceived value were examined to establish a research model and to present a theoretical frame for clothing products evaluation. In the empirical research a questionnaire was developed and statistical data were collected from during July 1997. The subjects were 862 women in the age of 20-35 living in Seoul and kyungki region. SAS and LISREL were used to analyze the collected data. frequency percentage factor analysis ANOVA duncan test correlation analysis regression analysis and LISREL were applied. The results of this research are as follows: First perceived quality consists of performance quality external quality and utility quality in a form of multi dimensional structural. Perceived risk is structured by social/resultant risk financial/fashionable risk and performance/management risk. • Consumer decisions and responses about the price to pay vary. Some consumers might decide the appropriate price range prior to shopping, while others compare and evaluate prices. Especially, consumers can have different reference points for price evaluation based on various price searching behavior that represent heterogeneous responses for prices in the clothing purchase decision-making process. This research identifies how consumers evaluate the price and helps explain their decision-making based on price searches. By analyzing qualitative research, we found that consumers recalled price information as a representative indicator and product level price information through the internal search. Their level of internal references can be an important factor affecting price evaluations. In addition, each consumer groups were subdivided into high and low external searching. The four types of responses to price were classified in the price search process and the identified differences in the price evaluation. Therefore, pricing strategy needs to be differentiated for these various consumer types.
