딥러닝 기반의 모바일 얼굴 영상을 이용한 실시간 심박수 측정 시스템 (Deep Learning-based Real-time Heart Rate Measurement System Using Mobile Facial Videos)

  • Since most biosignals rely on contact-based measurement, there is still a problem in that it is hard to provide convenience to users by applying them to daily life. In this paper, we present a mobile application for estimating heart rate based on a deep learning model. The proposed application measures heart rate by capturing real-time face images in a non-contact manner. We trained a three-dimensional convolutional neural network to predict photoplethysmography (PPG) from face images. The face images used for training were taken in various movements and situations. To evaluate the performance of the proposed system, we used a pulse oximeter to measure a ground truth PPG. As a result, the deviation of the calculated root means square error between the heart rate from remote PPG measured by the proposed system and the heart rate from the ground truth was about 1.14, showing no significant difference. Our findings suggest that heart rate measurement by mobile applications is accurate enough to help manage health during daily life.

고혈압 환자에서 격팔상생역침범(隔八相生易鐵法)의 혈압강하 효과 (The Antihypertensive Effect of Gyeok pal sang saeng yeok chim Acupuncture Treatment in Hypertension Patients)

  • Objectives : The aim of the study was to investigate the antihypertensive effect of Gyeok pal sang saeng Yeok chim Acupuncture in hypertensive patients. Methods : We measured the blood pressure of the patients who were admitted in the Oriental Medical Clinic of Brother from 13th February 2006 to 13th May 2006. We included the patients only in case of the systolic blood pressure was over 120mmHg or diastolic blood pressure was over 80mmHg, thirty patients were treated by Gyeok pal sang saeng Yeok chim Acupuncture. In order to evaluate the effect of the Gyeok pal sang saeng Yeok chim Acupuncture, the blood pressure and pulse rate were measured before and after Acupuncture procedure total 10 times. Results : There were significant decrease in the systolic blood pressure and significant decrease in the diastolic blood pressure treated by Gyeok pal sang saeng Yeok chim Acupuncture 10 times but pulse rate was not significantly decreased. The effect of Gyeok pal sang saeng Yeok chim Acupuncture by measurement time on blood pressure were follows: In a systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure was gradually deceased significantly from 1st to 10th but pulse rate was not significantly decreased. Conclusion : These results suggest that Gyeok pal sang saeng Yeok chim Acupuncture is effective in decreasing the systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

시간 측정범위 향상을 위한 펄스 트레인 입력 방식의 field-programmable gate array 기반 시간-디지털 변환기 (Field-Programmable Gate Array-based Time-to-Digital Converter using Pulse-train Input Method for Large Dynamic Range)

  • Field-programmable gate array (FPGA) 기반 시간-디지털 변환기 (time-to-digital converter: TDC)는 구조가 단순하고, 빠른 변환속도를 갖는 딜레이 라인 (delay-line) 방식을 주로 사용한다. 하지만 딜레이 라인 방식 TDC의 시간 측정범위를 늘리기 위해서는 딜레이 라인의 길이가 길어지므로 사용되는 소자가 많아지고, 비선형성으로 인한 오차가 증가하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 동일한 길이의 딜레이 라인에 펄스 트레인 (pulse-train)을 입력하여 시간 측정범위를 향상시키고, 리소스를 효율적으로 사용하는 방식을 제안한다. 펄스 트레인 입력 방식의 TDC는 긴 시간을 측정하기 위하여 시작신호의 입력과 동시에 4-천이 (transition) 펄스 트레인이 딜레이 라인에 입력된다. 그리고 동기회로 (synchronizer) 대신 천이 상태 검출부를 설계하여 중지신호 입력 시 사용된 천이를 판별하고, 준안정 상태 (meta-stable state)를 피하면서 딜레이 라인의 길이를 줄이는 구조를 갖는다. 제안한 TDC는 72개의 딜레이 셀 (delay cell)을 사용하였고, 파인부 (fine interpolator)의 성능 측정 결과, 시간 측정범위는 5070 ps, 평균 분해능은 20.53 ps, 최대 비선형성은 1.46 LSB였으며, 시간 측정범위는 계단 (step) 파형을 입력신호로 사용하는 기존 방식 대비 약 343 % 향상되었다.

안면 이미지 데이터를 이용한 실시간 생체징후 측정시스템 (Real-time Vital Signs Measurement System using Facial Image Data)

  • 본 연구는 실생활에서 가장 많이 접할 수 있는 모바일 전면 카메라를 이용하여 심장박동, 심장박동 변이율, 산소포화도, 호흡도, 스트레스수치, 혈압을 측정할 수 있는 효과적인 방법론을 제시하는 것이 목적이다. Blaze Face를 이용하여 실시간으로 얼굴인식을 진행하여 안면 이미지 데이터를 취득하고 눈, 코 입, 귀의 특징 점을 이용하여 이마를 관심영역으로 지정하며 평균값을 시간 축으로 정렬한 후 생체징후 측정에 이용하였다. 생체징후 측정 기법은 fourier transform을 기본으로 이용하였으며, 측정하고자 하는 생체징후에 맞게 노이즈 제거 및 필터 처리함으로써 측정값의 정확도를 향상 시켰다. 결과를 검증하기 위해 접촉식 센서와 비접촉식 센서 비교를 진행하였다. 분석 결과 안면 이미지를 이용하여 심장박동, 심장 박동 변이율, 산소포화도, 호흡도, 스트레스, 혈압 총 여섯 가지 생체 징후를 추출 할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • 최근 건강에 대한 관심과 욕구가 크게 증가하고 있으며, 이에 따라 스마트 헬스케어 산업이 크게 주목받고 있다. 이로 인해 일상생활 중 자신의 건강 상태를 지속적으로 확인하기 위한 원격의료시스템뿐만 아니라, 최근에는 국내외 기업에서 언제 어디서나 신체의 활동 정보를 계측 할 수 있는 웨어러블 디바이스들을 지속적으로 연구개발 및 시장에 선보이고 있다. 특히, 맥파와 심전도는 일상생활 중 자신의 건강상태를 지속적으로 모니터링하기 위한 생체신호로 가장 많이 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 마이크 센서를 활용한 심장의 소리 즉, 심음의 계측을 통해 심장 활동 상태 모니터링이 가능한 시스템을 구현하고자 하며, 상용 전자 청진기과 비교평가를 통해 일상생활 중 지속적인 모니터링이 가능함을 확인 하였다.

출혈을 일으킨 흰쥐에서의 PTT와 수축기 혈압 비교 (The Comparison of PTT and Systolic Blood Pressure in a hemorrhaged Rat)

  • Hemorrhage shock occupies high rate in trauma patient's mortality and blood pressure is the variance that judges early diagnosis and the effect of remedy. Systolic blood pressure is related to pulse transit time(PTT). PTT means the time that is required to flow from the heart to peripheral artery. PTT is influenced from the length, cross section and stiffness of the blood vessels. It is hard to evaluate the correlation between systolic blood pressure and PTT because they are variable in human body. In this paper, we evaluated the correlation between the systolic blood pressure and PTT in normal and hemorrhage states using standardized rat. PTT is defined as the time differences between the R peak and the peak of pulse wave. The analyzed time differences of ECG and blood pressure are analyzed every 5minutes for 30 seconds when there is before and after bleeding. Before bleeding, systolic blood pressure and PTT are steadily preserved but when the bleeding comes started, systolic blood pressure is declined. However PTT was increased and decreased. Under the circumstance that the standardized rat is controlled by age, the length of the blood vessels, and any disease, it shows that PTT measurement using systolic blood pressure of bleeding is impossible.

음악요법이 신경증 환자의 불안에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Music Therapy on Anxiety in Neurotic Patients)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of music therapy on anxiety in neurotic patients. The subjects of the study were 41 patients that had been diagnosed as having anxiety disorder, neurotic depression, or somatization disorder and were admitted to one general hospital in Seoul. The 41 research subjects were assigned to an experimental (22 clients) and a control (19clients) group. Data were gathered from September. 25, 1995 to December. 15, 1995 using a questionnaire and physiological measurement tool. Data were analyzed with the SAS package using frequency, t-test, paired t-test and Pearson correlation coefficients. The results of this study are as follows ; 1. There were significant differences between two groups on systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and pulse rate after treatment. In the experimental group, Systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and pulse rate decreased significantly after Music Therapy. 2. There were no significant differences between the two groups on the pre and post psychological anxiety score. But, after music therapy, experimental group had a lower psychological anxiety score than the control group. From these results, it is concluded that the music therapy can be effective in decreasing anxiety in neurotic patients.

백혈병 환아의 항암화학요법시 손마사지가 오심, 구토 및 불안에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Hand Massage on Nausea, Vomiting and Anxiety in Childhood with Leukemia on Chemotherapy)

  • Purpose: To determine the effects of hand massage on nausea and vomiting, and anxiety in children with Iymphocytic leukemia receiving high dose chemotherapy. Method: The children were assigned to an experimental group(15) or a control group(15). All of the children were diagnosed with acute Iymphocytic leukemia and admitted for high dose chemotherapy at C University Medical Center in Seoul. The hand massage was performed for 10 minutes twice a day over three days. To measure the effects of hand massage, the Index of Nausea and Vomiting by Rhodes et al. and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for children by Spielberger were used. The level of anxiety was measured by systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and pulse rate. Results: The score for nausea and vomiting decreased in the experimental group. State anxiety for the experimental group was significantly more positive than for the control group at the 2nd measurement. There was a significant difference in systolic blood pressure between the two groups. The level of diastolic blood pressure in the two groups decreased significantly over time. Conclusion: Hand massage could be effective in decreasing nausea and vomiting, state anxiety, pulse rate and blood pressure in children with acute leukemia receiving high dose chemotherapy.

$Cr^{4+}$:YAG 포화 흡수체를 이용한 레이저 다이오드 뒷면 여기 Nd:YAG 레이저의 들뜸 효율 및 Q-switching 특성 연구 (Measurement of excitation efficiency and passively Q-switched characteristics of laser diode end-pumped Nd:YAG laser by using $Cr^{4+}$:YAG as a saturable absorber)

  • 레이저 다이오드 뒷면 여기 방식을 이용한 Nd: YAG 레이저를 제작하고, 뒷면 여기 방식을 이용하였을 때, 들뜸 효율을 측정하였다. 포화 흡수체로 $Cr^{4+}$:YAG를 레이저 공진기 내부에 설치하여 수동형 Q-switching을 수행하였고, 그 때, 평균 출력, 펄스폭 및 반복율 특성등을 조사하였다. 수동형 Q-switching된 레이저의 펄스폭 및 반복율은 평균 출력 및 $Cr^{4+}$:YAG 결정의 낮은 강도 투과율(low intensity trasmission)에 따라 변화하였으며, 평균 출력은 최고 1 W, 펄스폭은 최저 51 nsec 까지 얻을 수 있었고 최고 약 40kHz의 고반복율로 동작하는 것을 관찰하였다.

아로마 요법이 편도선 절제술 환자의 통증에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Aroma Inhalation Therapy on Pain in Patients Following a Tonsillectomy)

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine the effects of aroma inhalation therapy on pain post tonsillectomy. Method: A non-equivalent control group pre- and post-test design was used. The research instruments used in this study were a pain perception measurement and vital signs (systolic & diastolic blood pressure and pulse rate levels). Twenty-five patients in the experimental group went through aroma inhalation therapy for ten minutes after the tonsillectomy. The aroma inhalation therapy used was a blended oil, a mixture of Lavender and Loman chamomile in the ratio of 2:1. The 25 patients in the control group did not receive the therapy. Before and after the experiment, both groups were tested for pain (pain perception and vital signs). Collected data were processed with the SPSS WIN. Ver. 14.0 program and analyzed using frequencies, percentages, ${\chi}^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, t-test and ANCOVA. Results: Pain perception of patients was not significantly reduced. However systolic and diastolic blood pressure and pulse rate were significantly reduced. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that aroma inhalation is a partially effective nursing intervention to reduce the post-operative tonsillectomy pain.
