  • This study Investigates the effect of the wave form of pulse energization on the collection characteristics of a wide plate spacing electrostatic precipitator. For the semi-pulse energization, the peak current and voltage of the energization increases with increase of the pulse period, and the corona current increases, as pulse ratio decreases. For the micro-pulse energization, the corona current increases with increase of the pulse voltage. The collection efficiency of semi-pulse and micro-pulse energization is larger than that of DC charge.

  • Electrostatic Precipitators have been used widely in industry, and play an important role in environmental protection. Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) can be operated with a high collection efficiency and low pressure drop. Pulse energization is a technique to cope with high resistivity dust, and this results in lower power consumption. In this paper, Pulse energization ESP to use subway station air clean in subway station, design and test a pulse power supply for ESP.

  • This study investigates the effect of the wave form of pulse energization and dust concentration on the collection characteristics of a moving electrode electrostatic precipitator (MEEP). Under the same specific corona power, the collection efficiency of the MEEP for the lower dust concentration ($2g/m^3$) becomes higher than that for the higher concentration ($10g/m^3$). Both the collection efficiency and specific corona power increase with increasing pulse period for the same value of applied voltage. The collection efficiency of MEEP is higher than that of the conventional fixed plate electrode electrostatic precipitator.

  • In this study, the characteristics of various electricity and high resistivity ash collection were measured at superimposed nanosecond pulse energization. The pulse was generated through the hydrogen thyratron. Superimposed pulse was nanosecond duration pulse that had fast pulse rising time 100[ns], short pulse width 500∼850[ns] and pulse fall time 400∼750[ns]. The results of this study are summarized as followings; Frist, compared with the DC ESP(electrostatic precipitator), superimposed pulse ESP could induce higher peak voltage, and had the about 30[%] reduction of ESP collection area and 50∼80[%] reduction of power consumption. showing the same efficiency. Second, enhancement factor H had 1.9∼3.6 with the increase of migration velocity.

  • Since pulse energization can improve the performance of Electrostatic Precipitator(ESP) for high resistivity dusts, high voltage micro-pulse generators, 70kV 140usec duration pulses for instance, are commonly developed by LC resonance for most pulse powered ESPs. Consisting of discharge electrodes and collecting electrodes, ESP has its own capacitance like a capacitor. ESP's capacitance affects the LC resonance phenomenon with resonance inductor and capacitor of micro-pulse power supply, engineers should acquire the value of their ESP to design for proper power supply design. In this study, we describe the ESP's capacitance measuring device which has the same topology with our new developed micro-pulse power supply.   • 산업공정에서 배출되는 입자상 오염물질은 인체 및 환경에 미치는 영향이 직접적이고 가시공해의 주된 원인이 되므로 인관 주민의 민원을 유발시키는 등 주요 지역현안 문제의 원인이 되고 있다. 먼지를 제거하기 위한 대표적인 기술로는 전기집진기, 여과집진기, 사이클론, 습식집진기를 들 수 있으며, 대규모 산업공정에서는 정전기적 힘에 의해 집진하는 전기집진기가 일반적으로 적용되고 있다. 전기집진기는 비교적 높은 효율의 집진 성능을 보장하나 전력소모량이 비교적 많으며 미세먼지, 특히 고비저항을 가진 먼지의 제거효율이 낮다는 단점을 가지고 있다.   • The demand for lightweight materials and high-strength steel has rapidly increased to help reduce the weight of a vehicle body; it improves the fuel efficiency of automobiles and provides passenger safety. Additionally, as the material becomes thinner, the demand for its resistance against corrosion becomes higher. Hence, the application of the surface-treated steel sheet has surged rapidly. In this study, a weld bonding experiment using a delta spot welding machine is performed on a thin sheet of a different material (Al6061-T6/GA440). The thickness of the material was kept at 1 mm to reduce the weight of the automobile body parts. Additionally, the purpose of this study is to control the heat input by applying the welding conditions of a multi-stage pressure pattern to improve corrosion resistance shear strength. The analysis of nugget diameter measurement, shear tensile test, and salt spray test was performed to achieve the aim.
