Finite Elerllent Analysis of the Pull-out Test

  • 인발시험은 보강토 구조물의 설계에 있어 보강재와 흙사이의 강도 정수를 결정하는데 사용된다. 그러나 이 시험의 해석시 보강재를 따라 발생하는 전단강도가 일정한 것으로 가정하는데 이는 인발시험중 흙과 보강재 사이의 점진성 전단으로 인해 흙과 보강재의 전단-변위 관계 계산시 오류가 발생하게 된다. 구과 보강재 사이의 shear stiffness계산시 점진성전단의 영향을 평가하기 위하여 유한요소법으로 인발시헙을 해석하였다. 흙과 보강재는 선형과 비선형거동으로 채석하였고 shear stiffnss는 일반적인 방법으로 계산하였는데 수정된 shear stiffness와는 많은 차이가 있었으며 그 차이로 인해 유한요소해석의 결과가 달라지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 유한요소해석결과와 시험치를 비교 분석하였으며 개선된 인발시험 해극방법에 대하여 논하였다.

나선형 앵커의 실내인발시험을 이용한 무리효과 평가기법 (The Method of Estimating Group Effect with Small Pull-out Tests of Screw Anchors)

  • 본 연구에서는 양압력을 받는 기초구조물의 보강공법으로 앵커를 시공할 경우, 이에 대한 파괴메카니즘 및 안정해석법의 개발에 기초적인 자료를 제공하기 위해 나선형 앵커에 대한 실내인발시험 및 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 실내인발시험은 강우시 지하수위 상승으로 인해 기초구조물에 양압력이 작용하는 경우를 고려하기 위해 포화사질토 내에서의 하중-변위특성을 분석한 후, 이를 건조시의 경우 등에 대해 유한요소 해석결과와 비교${\cdot}$분석하였으며, 앵커의 극한인발저항력에 미치는 영향인자 및 앵커의 인발에 따른 거동특성 등을 평가하였다. 또한, 군형태 앵커의 설치간격을 변화시켜가면서 하중-인발변위 특성을 비교한 후, 나선형 앵커의 무리효과에 의한 간섭영향 요인을 분석하였다.

횡방향 등방성을 고려한 단섬유 인장 실험 모델링 (Modeling of Single Fiber Pull-Out Experiment Considering the Effects of Transverse Isotropy)

  • Single fiber pull-out technique has been commonly used to characterize the mechanical behavior of interface in fiber reinforced composite materials. An improved analysis considering the effects of transversely isotropic properties of fiber and the effects of thermal residual stresses in both radial and axial directions along the fiber/matrix interface is developed for the single fiber pull-out test. Although the stress transfer properties across the interface is not much affected by considering the transversely isotropic properties of fiber, interfacial debonding is notably encouraged by the effect. The interfacial shear stress that plays an important role in interfacial debonding is very much affected by the component of axial thermal residual stress in the bonded region, which can induce a two-way debonding mechanism.

후방 척추고정술에서 척추경 나사못의 크기와 형태가 척추 고정력에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (Effects of Screw Diameter and Thread Shape on the Strength of Transpedicular Screw Fixation in Posterior Spinal Fusion)

  • The objectives of the present study are 1)to find the effect of the diameter of transpedicular screws on their fixational strength in pedicles under static pull-out loading, 2)to determine the biomechanical correlation between the pedicle diameter and the screw diameter, and 3)to find the effects of other factors in the screw design, such as materials, screw pitch, thread height and shape on their fixational strength. Biomechanical tests (Test I) were performed to evaluate the effect of the screw diameter on pull-out strength by using 60 porcine pedicls and six groups of custom-made pedicle screws with different diameters (the major and the minor diameter of the screws used in the testing varied from 4mm upto 9mm and from 3mm upto 8mm, respectively) while all other factors (materials, screw pitch, thread height and shape etc.) were fixed. In Test II, by using 61 porcine pedicles, the relationship between the ratio of the pedicle diameter and the screw diameter(=aspect ratio) of the custum-made screw and the pull-out strength of the screw was investigated. Test III was performed with 94 porcine pedicles and 8 different types of the commercial screws from 6 major productors in order to determine the effect of the screw diameter, pitch and the thread shape on the pull-out strength of the screw, respectively. The results of Test I showed that the axial pull-out resistance of the screw could be increased prportionaly to the screw diameter(P<0.05). But this increase in the pull-out resistance did not found when the screws of 4mm or 9mm in the diameter were employed. It was found from the results of Test II that the screws had its maximum pull-out resistant force when the aspect ratio ranging 40 - 69% (P<0.05). based on the results for the major diameter against the minor diameter of screw, the maximal pull-out resistance was found at 60-65% (P<0.05). According to these biomechanical testing results, it seems that the screw with a moderately large pitch is more desirable and the buttress-shaped screw can provide stronger fixation than the V-shape one can, if other designal factor and conditions were fixed.

현장계측에 의한 접이식 웨지 장착 강관네일의 인발거동 평가 (Estimation of Pull-out Behavior for Steel Pile Nailing installed Foldable Wedge by Field Measurement)

  • 본 연구에서는 접이식 웨지가 장착된 경량 강관네일의 인발저항 증진효과를 평가하기 위하여 동일 지반조건에서 시험시공을 통한 접이식 웨지가 장착된 네일과 웨지가 장착되지 않은 네일의 현장 인발거동 특성을 평가하였다. 강관네일의 현장 인발거동 특성 평가는 극한인발저항력 ($T_L$), 단위주면 마찰저항($q_s$, $u_{max}$), 인발강성계수($K_{\beta}$) 및 네일의 인장력 분석을 통하여 수행되었으며, 그 결과 접이식 웨지를 장착할 경우 풍화토 지반에서 약 30% 정도의 인발저항 증진효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 화강풍화토지반(SP)의 밀도와 함수비 그리고, 점성토지반(ML)의 함수비 변화가 불도저 궤도 차량의 주행성능에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여, 강원도 춘천군 역골지역에서 실물크기의견 인력시험을 실시하였다. 시험결과로부터, 최적견인력거동은 함수비 뿐만아니라 밀도에도 크게 영향을 받음을 알았다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 지반상태에 따라서 변하는 견인력거동의 최적점 결정방법을 제안하였으며, 화강풍화토지반의 밀도에 따른 최적견인력과 최적슬립을 구하였다.

근위골절술을 위한 Staple 설계 (A Newly Designed Miniplate Staple for High Tibial Osteotomy)

  • A biomechanical study was made to demonstrate the superior mechanical performance of the newly designed Miniplate staple to the conventional Coventry staple in high tibial osteotomy(HTO). Using twenty fresh porcine tibiae, the fixational strengh of the two different types of staple in HTO was compared. To minimize the error due to the specimen-to-specimen individuality, the bone mineral density of the tibiae was measured with a bone densitometry (Dual photon absorptionometer, Luner, USA) and those with $0.8\;{\sim}\;1.2\;gm/cm^2$ at the proximal tibia was used in the biomechanical test. Testing was performed on a material testing system (Autogram ET-5, Shimatzu, Japan) with aid of a commercial data processor (IBM 80386/ ASYST). Using two differant loading modes, 'pull-out' and 'push-out', the maximum resistant force required to release the staple from the substrate bone was recorded. In the pull-out test, ten non-osteotomized specimens were used and the staple was pullout by subjecting an axial tension on the head of the staple inserted. While in the pull-out test where ten tibiae osteotomized in the usual way of HTO were used, the staple was not directly loaded. In this testing, as a mimic condition of the natural knee, the distal part of the specimen tibia was pushed horizontally in order for the staple to be pulled out while the proximal tibia was fixed. The pull-out strength of Coventry staple and miniplate staple were found to be $27.88\;{\pm}\;5.12\;kgf$ and $182.47\;{\pm}\;32.75\;kgf$, respectively. The push-out strength of Coventry staple and miniplate staple were $18.40\;{\pm}\;4.47\;kgf$ and $119.95\;{\pm}\;19.06\;kgf$, respectively. The result revealed that miniplate staple had the pull-out/ push-out strength at least fivetimes higher than Coventry staple. Based on the measured data, it was believed that the newly designed miniplate staple could provide much better postoperative fixation in HTO. The postoerative application of long leg casting may not be needed after HTO surgery.

교면 덧씌우기 콘크리트의 인발부착강도(引拔附着强度) 시험법(試驗法) 제안(提案) (Proposal of Concrete Pull Off Bond Strength Measurement Method for Bridge Deck Overlay)

  • The development and maintenance of a sound bond are essential requirements of concrete repair and replacement. The bond property of a overlay to its substrate concrete during the lifetime is one of the most important performance requirements which should be quantified. A standard or a verified bond strength measurement method is required at field for screening, selecting materials and quality control for overlay or repair materials, but no test method has been adopted as a standard. In this study, a concrete pull off bond strength measurement method for field application is proposed and evaluated. This study compares the splitting tensile test, slant shear test, nipple pipe direct tensile test, flexural adhesion test, briquette tensile test, jumbo nail pull-out test and core pull-off test with their test procedures. From these comparison and investigation, core pull-off test is selected as a main topic of this study because of it's suitability for in situ testing, simplicities in field application and clearness at interface boundary condition. Thus, the proposed core pull off test is evaluated to be the most appropriate method for field application in a simple manner. The fracture surface and fracture mode could be easily determined by visual observation of failure surface of the field specimen. The core pull off test was found to be sensitive to surface condition and latex contents at latex modified concrete.

  • To analyze a bond stress-slip behavior between a reinforcing bar and concrete under repeated loading, pull-out fatigue test was performed. Major variables were repeated stress levels and cycle numbers. Test specimen was taken repeated constant amplitude loading before it was fractured by pull-out test. Increments of bond strength and slip according to repeated stress level and cycle numbers were analyzed. 정착판 GFRP 근(Rebar)의 모르타르 인발거동에 관한 시험연구 (An Experimental Study on the Pull-Out Behaviors of Headed GFRP Rebar in Mortar)

  • 본 논문은 모르타르에 근입되어 인발하중을 받는 정착판 GFRP 근의 인발거동을 기술하고 있다. 정착판 GFRP 근의 모르타르 시험체를 5개 제작하여 인발시험을 수행하였다. 시험 결과를 검증하기 위해 ANSYS 상용프로그램을 이용한 유한요소해석을 수행하였으며 시험결과와 비교되었다. 시험결과 모르타르에 매입된 정착판 GFRP 근의 파열 파괴강도식은 45도 콘(Cone)파괴 이론 보다는 CCD(Concrete Capacity Design)파괴이론을 적용하는 것이 타당한 것으로 나타났다.
