신체적 자극과 심리적 자극에서 교감신경피부반응에 대한 탐색연구 (Exploratory Study on Sympathetic Skin Response to Physical and Psychological Stimulation)

  • In this study, we explored the possibility of using sympathetic skin response (SSR), a type of electrodermal activity (EDA), as a method of evaluating a subject's responsiveness to physical or psychological stimulation. To provide physical and psychological stimulation, walking on an acupressure plate and a roller coaster virtual reality experience wearing an HMD (head mounted display) were used. Walking on an acupressure plate significantly increased the SSR signal compared to walking on the bare floor. Additionally, it was observed that the SSR response significantly increased while the subject was wearing an HMD and experiencing a roller coaster compared to the resting state of sitting on a chair. The SSR response to physical or psychological stimulation increased in all subjects, but the degree of reactivity differed. These experimental results suggested that sympathetic skin response (SSR) is a useful tool as a biosignal that can be used to evaluate the human body's responsiveness to physical stimulation or psychological stimulation using virtual reality.

Physiological and Psychological Effects of Vibroacoustic Stimulation to Scapular and Sacrum of Supine Position

  • Objective: This research measured physiological and psychological effects of Vibroacoustic stimulation(VA) to scapular and sacrum of supine position on the mattress. Background: When vibroacoustic stimulation applies to human body, it has a positive influence on physiological and psychological effects by stimulating the organs, tissues and cells of whole body. Method: This experiment was conducted to 10 normal males in two conditions: no stimulation and vibroacoustic stimulation. No stimulation experiment was executed as a supine position for 30 minutes without any vibrational stimulus, while vibroacoustic stimulation was transmitted by the vibrational speaker, which uses 40Hz frequency. Subjects had a laser Doppler flowmeter probe in scapular, sacrum, and also had 8 channel electroencephalogram(EEG) measurement sensor in the scalp. Blood pressure and skin temperature were measured in two conditions with an underlying posture for 30 minutes. Additionally, blood flow rate and EEG were measured before and after for two minutes on two conditions. Results: According to the vibroacoustic stimulation, blood flow rate and skin temperature were increased, while blood pressure was decreased. When using vibroacoustic stimulation compared to no stimulation, blood flow rate went approximately two times higher, and skin temperature also higher 3~4 times. Furthermore, the relative alpha power of brain wave was significantly increased when we applied to vibroacoustic stimulation. Conclusion: This experiment tested the VAT embedded in mattress in two conditions. According to this experiment, VAT decreases blood pressure, improves not only a physiological effect on blood flow rate as well as skin temperature, but also psychological functions by increasing relative alpha power. Application: The results of the publishing trend analysis might help physiological and psychological effects of vibroacoustic stimulation.

충동구매 소비자의 구매행위와 심리적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Purchase Behavior and the Psychological Characteristics of the Impulse-Buying Consumers)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the tendency of impulse buying behavior and the consumer psychological characteristic factors which arouse impulse purchase and the difference in exploratory behavior according to the degree of impulse buying behaviors. For this purpose existing studies on impulse buying behaviors, consumer stimulation levels and exploratory behaviors were theoretically reviewed. And field survey was carried out for this study; 353 women impulse consumers were selected by convenience sampling method. The summarized main results of this study are as follows; 1) In relative perspectives, the consumers who has high degree of impulse buying behavior was favor of sensory buying behavior but, was lack of planned and rational buying behaviro. 2) The optimal stimulation level of high-impulse consumers is higher than that of low-impulse consumers. Especially, optimal stimulation level of impulse consumers is significantly higher than their life-style stimulation level. This means that impulse consumers are consider to a stimulation seeker. 3) The high-impulse consumers have high exploration through shopping, high information seeking behavior, high interpersonal communication level, high risk taking behavior and particulary high sensory exploratory patterns in purchase exploratory behaviors than that of low-impulse consumers.

디지털 환경에서 시각적 산림자극의 치유효과에 대한 실험적 분석 (Experimental Analysis of the Healing Effect of Visual Forest Stimulation in Digital Environment)

  • 본 연구에서는 실제 자연의 숲과 인위적으로 통제가 가능한 디지털 환경에서의 가상현실(VR)을 활용한 가상 숲에서의 체험이 피험자의 심리적 또는 생리적으로 미치는 치유효과를 알아보기 위하여 수행되었다. 이를 밝혀내기 위해 C대학 건강한 학부생 81명을 실험참가자로 2022. 9. 5~12. 9에 걸쳐 디지털 환경 내에서의 시각을 통한 산림자극 효과를 실험하였다. 실험은 디지털환경(2D, 3D)에서 숲 환경을 통한 시각적 산림자극의 심리적, 생리적 회복 효과를 평가하였다. 심리적 효과분석인 SRI(스트레스 반응척도)의 실험결과는 집단 간 차이가 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 심리적 스트레스 측정을 위한 SRI 실험 결과는 세 집단 중 Control 집단을 제외한 디지털 환경에서의 2D 집단은 사전과 사후 간 차이가 미미한 것으로 나타났다. 3D 집단에서는 사전보다 사후가 낮게 나타났다. 이 결과 산림을 기반으로 한 디지털 환경(2D, 3D)에서 시각을 통한 산림자극이 심리적 스트레스를 유의하게 감소시켜주는 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 디지털환경 내에서 시각을 통한 산림자극이 EEG(뇌파)에 미치는 변화 분석 결과, 이완이나 안정화 때 활성화 되는 것으로 나타나는 알파파(RA)가 긴장이나 각성 때 발현되는 베타파(RB) 보다 활성화 되는 것으로 확인 되었다. 본 연구는 신체적 거동 불편 등 이동 제약으로 인하여 자연 숲 환경에서 체험을 할 수 없는 이용자들에게 디지털환경 내에서 가상현실(VR) 속 숲 환경을 구현하여 시각적 산림자극 체험 기회를 제공함으로서 심리적, 생리적 회복 환경을 만들어 주는데 사용 할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 이러한 연구 결과가 디지털 환경에서 산림치유에 대한 활용의 기반이 되길 기대하고, 가상현실(VR)을 이용한 프로그램이 산림치유 활동에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the HRV(Heart Rate Variability) to visual and auditory stimulation. We analysed psychological effect and HRV of music, light, and music with light. The results show that HRV pattern is significantly related to the psychological effect, and HRV spectrum is useful to extract more information when various stimulation are presented.

지루함, 공적 자의식, 스타일 지향성이 인터넷 구매에 미치는 영향 (The influences of boredom proneness, public self-consciousness, and dressing style on internet shopping)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the influences of psychological variables and fashion-related psychological variables on purchasing fashion items on the Internet. Boredom proneness and public self-consciousness were selected as psychological variables, and dressing style was selected as a fashion-related psychological variable. It was hypothesized that boredom proneness and public self-consciousness not only influence the purchasing frequency of fashion items on the Internet directly, but also indirectly through dressing style. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul using convenience sampling. Two hundred and eighty-six questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. SPSS was used for exploratory factor analysis, and AMOS was used for hypothesized relationship testing. The factor analysis of boredom proneness revealed five dimensions, "helplessness," "affective response," "lack of internal stimulation," "lack of external stimulation," and "perception of time." The factor analysis of public self-consciousness revealed two dimensions, "appearance-consciousness" and "style-consciousness," and the factor analysis of dressing style revealed one dimension. The overall fit of the hypothesized model suggests that the model fits the data well. The hypothesized relationship test proved that boredom proneness and public self-consciousness influence the purchasing frequency of fashion items on the Internet indirectly through dressing style. The results implicate effective strategies for Internet shopping malls and suggestions for future study.

미주신경 전기자극이 심박변이도와 스트레스호르몬 분비에 미치는 효과 - 파일럿 연구 (Effect of Vagus Nerve Electrical Stimulation to Cortisol Level Control and Heart Rate Variability(HRV) - Pilot Study)

  • Purpose: Stress tends to cause sympathetic hyperactivity and increase blood cortisol levels. The vagus nerve is a parasympathetic nerve that is involved in relaxing the body. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of electrical stimulation of the vagus nerve on stress hormone (cortisol) levels and heart rate variability (HRV) in humans. Methods: A total of 10 healthy subjects participated in the pilot experiment. All subjects underwent electrical vagus nerve stimulation for 20 minutes in the cymba conchae of the left ear. An electro cardiogram meter was used to measure HRV. Blood samples were collected and analyzed for cortisol levels. The standard deviation of all normal N-N intervals (SDNN), root mean square of successive differences (RMSSD), low frequency, high frequency, and cortisol levels were compared in pre and post mean values after the intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon's signed-rank test. Results: Coritsol levels were observed to decrease after vagus nerve electrical stimulation. The mean SDNN and RMSSD values were increased after the intervention, but not significantly. Conclusion: Vagus nerve electrical stimulation has been shown to increase the ability of the parasympathetic nerve to adapt to upward regulation and stress. Vagus nerve electrical stimulation could thus be an effective treatment for modern social psychological stress control.

청소년기 여학생의 의복행동에 대한 영향요인 연구;연령.지역 차이와 심리적 특성 변인들의 상대적 영향력 (Influencing Factors of Korean Female Adolescent′s Clothing Behaviors: -Effects of Psychological Characteristics, Age and Residence-)

  • The purpose of this research were to identify the differences in clothing behaviors and psychological characteristics ill relation to age and residence and to identify the relative effects of Korean female adolescent's psychological characteristics on the clothing behaviors. The instruments measuring 9 psychological characteristics-adolescent egocentrism, social and general self-efficacy, public and private self-consciousness, boredom susceptibility, optimal stimulation level, body attitudes-were adapted from previous studies. Clothing behavior measurements were developed based on the pilot study results or adapted from previous studies. The data. collected from 2284 nationwide sample of Korean female adolescents(early, middle, late) was analyzed by frequency, two-way ANOVA, and LISREL confirmatory factor analysis. Clothing behavior were factor analyzed and 6 factors were identified: dressing for others. conformity to peers, clothing interest, self-expression, psychological dependence and clothing exhibition. Effects of age were dominant in 6 out of 9 psychological characteristics and five clothing behavior factors except conformity to peers. Dominant main effect of residence was found oかy in boredom susceptibility. From the results of LISREL, adolescent egocentrism, public self-consciousness and sensation seeking tendency were found to be the most influential psychological characteristics of female adolescents'clothing behaviors.

향 자극에 따른 직업별 뇌파의 상호 정보량 분석 (Mutual information analysis of EEG during odor stimulation classified with occupations)

  • 본 연구에서는 단순노무직, 판매직, 전문직에 종사하는 피험자를 대상으로 100%의 basil oil, lavender oil, lemon oil, jasmine oil, ylang-ylang oil (KIMEX co. Ltd, Korea), skatole (TAKASAGO co. Ltd, Japan)등 총 6가지 종류의 천연향에 대한 두뇌의 정보량 흐름을 파악하기 위해 상호 정보량을 검토하였다. 그 결과, 전문직에서는 상호 정보량의 유의한 변화가 전두엽 사이(F3F4)에서 나타난 반면, 단순노무직과 판매직에서는 전두엽(F3F4), 두정엽(P3P4), 측두엽(T5T6) 사이에서 모두 나타났다 두 직종과 비교하여 전문직이 주로 외부 자극에 대한 고차원적 기능을 담당하는 전두엽영역의 정보량에서 유의한 변화를 보인 것은 향을 전문적으로 구분하고, 확인하는 그들의 직업적 특성을 반영한 결과라 추측된다. 또한, 단순노무직과 달리, 전문직과 판매직은 선호도가 낮은 향에서 상호 정보량이 증가하는 경향을 보여, 향 관련 종사자들의 선호도와 상호 정보량간의 관련성을 시사하였다.

E-TEXTILE을 이용한 고감성 전기 근육 자극(EMS)패드의 연구 (A Study on the High Sensitivity Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) Pad Using E-TEXTILE)

  • 본 연구에서는 전기 근육 자극(electrical muscle stimulation, EMS)에 사용되는 기존의 하이드로겔 패드의 단점인 사용 편의성, 쾌적성 등을 보완할 수 있는 e-textile (electronic textile)을 이용한 전기 근육 자극(electrical muscle stimulation, EMS) 패드인 EMSCT (electrical muscle stimulation conductive textile)를 연구를 하고자 하였다. SWCNT (Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube)와 H2O의 농도 및 함침 공정 횟수를 변수로 하여, EMSCT는 5가지 직물(라디론, 네오프렌, 스판쿠션, 폴리100%, 베르가모)에 전도성을 부여하여 실험이 진행되었다. SWCNT (Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube)와 H2O을 이용한 패딩 공정을 거쳤으며, 교류 측정 결과 하이드로겔과 가장 유사한 교류를 나타내는 것은 SWCNT:H2O = 2:1의 베르가모 원단이라는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한, 편의성, 사용성, 심리적 만족성에 관한 사용성 평가를 통해 기존 하이드로겔 패드에 비해 EMSCT가 좋은 사용성을 가진다는 결과를 얻을 수 있다.
