This paper presents a survey results on the material properties sharing system database on composite in USA. The requirements on management and database for Korean composite product that meet KAS (Korean Airworthiness Standard) are suggested. The certification policy on composite material qualification of also introduced. The benefits to material supplier, aircraft manufacturer and certification authority, which get through the database have been considered. The database managing process, composite material manufacturing process, properties and design allowable meeting KAS have been suggested.

In shipbuilding area, data sharing is one of the crucial issues. Recently, for collaborative design, ship structural CAD systems adopt the database as its primary storage. Database is useful to deal with the large amount of design information among the heterogeneous design department and design stage. To make the database-based CAD system object-oriented database(OODB) and object-relational database(ORDB) can be used. It is important to select proper database because the CAD system performance mainly depends on access performance of database. In this research, using prototype CAD system from other research, access performance of OODB and ORDB form CAD system was evaluated. STEP application protocol was used as the database schema and experiment was made in query by property and query by region. The results give some idea of how to choose the database for CAD systems.

Objectives : In the WIPO conference about the protection of intellectual property for traditional knowledge (TK) and genetic resources (GR), there was a demand concerning the necessity of recognizing the invention of TK and GR and the foundation of a related database. Methods : In the standard of the foundation of a database, the content and resource identification standards, the technological standards and the security and transmission standards were discussed. In a decision on intellectual property, it means the protection and recognition as a technology precedent of the materials of the database. Results : Massive material on traditional medical care technology in Korea has existed in many areas. However, it is hard to make a database because it is difficult to organize and find the data. In addition, a database demanded by WIPO is not only the material of images or texts of simple technology information, but also the use of patent decisions about traditional knowledge technology and the public sharing of information in related areas. A traditional medical care database would consist of the core of a subject and the related areas. The core part is the medical herb resource and Oriental clinical technology. Conclusions : These are necessary to detail the kind of medicines and prescriptions, their use, and their processing. In the related areas, it needs to detail PIAS and clinical data in regarding the industrialization. These DB have to protect the TK and the GR of Korea.

PDF(Portable Document Format) is a file format that Adobe advances postscritp technique and use in managing document information or electric publishing(internet, CD-ROM, DVD). PDF is a devised document type for being able to read and print anywhere, independent of OS, printer type, resolution, and the kind of computer etc. Because this includes a compressing function, it transfers document through a small size of file in internet or intranet. In addition, that is a file format has various advantages-sharing of information and transfering documents in on line or off line environment. In this paper, we developed electronic document system using PDF format. Electronic document system consists of filter, automatic indexing, special searching system and web server. The information used in this paper is database made using Zwon\`s DocuCom. The filter recognizes various kinds of document structure. And according to property of document, it produces ASCII output. In addition to processing various formats of document, the filter can extract keywords in documents of MS WORD, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF, CAD etc. This filter uses the structure of window printer drive and can extract the information for text, page, font type and size from relevant document. The automatic indexing recognizes the formatted tag of document form ASCII text produced by filter and extracts adequate keyword to structure and property of document. PDF electronic document systems proposed in this paper can be used in Internet, PC communication. Users can choose and read electronic documents by two ways. First, users can choose and read relevant books using PDF electronic document homepage. Second, users can use PDF integrated-search system. User can search after inputing keyword and choose reference field and type of data. But, now, PDF products of Adobe can\`t support the Korean character. If this problem is resolved, we thick that PDF applications system looks active. Although there is limited function in case of using Zwon DocuCom used in this study, we think that there isn\`t a great deal of difficulty in electronic document and building digital database.

Peer-to-peer systems (P2P) are rapidly growing in importance on the Internet environment, quickly extending the range of their usage. However, peer-to-peer systems have not been widely applied in electronic commerce because they have not been established as an appropriate business model. Therefore, we firstly review the previous research relevant to peer-to-peer systems, and then analyze the business models for P2P systems presented by previous researchers. Furthermore, this study categorizes major issues in terms of the technical and business model aspects. On the basis of these reviews, we develop P2P electronic commerce systems based on the file sharing method between users, focusing on user interface friendliness. A developed P2P electronic commerce systems are programmed by using the C# based on the Microsoft.net solution. A database is implemented using the MSSQL2000. A main application technology is designed that P2P electronic commerce systems make it possible. for user to extend into BtoB Solution by using WSDL (Web Services Description Language), UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration) and the XML that is a document for users. User interface is made as form of Internet messenger for a user's convenience and is possible to develop into a commodity transaction system based on XML. In this study, it is possible for the P2P electronic commerce system to have extended application to fields such as Internet shopping mall and property transaction in a nonprofit organization, a public institution and a large scale nonprofit institution that have a similar structure as compared with a structure of a nonprofit educational institution.

OWL(Web Ontology Language)은 시맨틱웹에서 온톨로지를 배포하고 공유하기 위한 W3C의 정식 권고안(Recommendation)으로 채택되었다. OWL 데이터의 숨겨진 정보를 유추하기 위해서 OWL 추론기들이 많이 개발되었다. 그러나 OWL 추론기들은 메모리를 기반으로 처리되기 때문에 대용량 OWL 데이터를 처리하기는 어렵다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해서 관계형 데이터베이스에 기반한 시스템이 제안되었다. 이 시스템들은 OWL 데이터를 데이터베이스에 저장하여 데이터베이스 내에서 추론을 한다. 하지만, 이 시스템들은 OWL에서 정의되는 모든 속성(Property)을 고려하지 않았고, 추론에 비효율적인 스키마를 사용하고 있다. 그리고 실제 응용환경에서 자주 발생하는 OWL 데이터 변경에 대해서도 다루지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 관계형 데이터베이스에 기반한 여러 스키마를 비교하고, 효율적인 추론을 위한 개선된 스키마를 제안한다. 그리고 OWL에서 정의되는 모든 종류의 속성을 지원하기 위한 완전하고 효율적인 추론 알고리즘과 OWL 데이터 변경에 대해 효율적인 갱신 방법을 제안한다. 실험결과를 보면 본 논문에서 제안한 스키마가 OWL 데이터 저장 및 추론에 대해 기존 스키마보다 더 좋은 성능을 보이며, OWL 데이터 갱신 방법도 기존의 방법보다 더 효율적이다.

정보통신 표준은 기술기준과 권고표준으로 구성된다. 기술기준은 강제표준으로서 정부가 이의 준수를 의무화하는 표준을 말하며, 권고표준은 국가 또는 표준화 단체가 표준을 제정하여 이를 권고하는 것으로서 이에 대한 준수의 강제성은 없다. 기술기준은 공통된 판단과 평가근거가 되는 조건, 수준, 한계 등을 규정함으로써 엄격히 준수되어야 할 규칙으로 정의된다. 본 논문은 기술기준의 제·개정과 관련된 업무의 생산성을 높이고, 기술기준 정보의 대국민 서비스를 지원하기 위하여 법규의 제·개정과 관련된 정보의 데이터 베이스화를 통한 정보의 연속성 및 공용성을 확보하고, 법규 제정과 관련된 국내·외 웹사이트의 최신정보를 분류하여 제공할 수 있는 정보검색 및 관리 시스템의 구현에 관한 논문이다. 본 논문에서 구현된 정보검색 및 관리 시스템은 온라인 정보검색 시스템으로서 정보통신 기술기준에 관련된 법령정보를 조항별 키워드 검색, 계층적 검색, 법령별 키워드 검색 및 제·개정 연혁별 검색이라는 네 가지의 다양한 검색방법을 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 법률 제·개정과 관련한 사이버 공동작업 공간에서는 정보의 공용성을 확보하고 있다. 마지막으로, 본 논문에서 구현된 정보시스템의 가장 두드러진 특징은 인터넷상에서 실시간으로 법령 정보를 갱신할 수 있다는 것이다.
