A Study on Dielectric Properties of $TiO_2$-Based Ceramics ($TiO_2$계 세라믹스의 유전특성에 대한 연구)

  • $TiO_{2}-Nb_{2}O_{5}$ sol was prepared using sol-gel method. DTA properties of gel powder had endothermic reaction due to evaporation of propanol and water about $78^{\circ}C$, had exothermic reaction due to propanol combustion about $290^{\circ}C$ and had exothermic reaction due to changing of $TiO_2$ phase about $640^{\circ}C$. Capacitance of thin films increased according to increasing relative humidity, whereas it decreased according to increasing measured frequency.

  • A number of bis-2-oxo amide triacylglycerol analogues, a recently reported potent human gastric lipase inhibitor and its new analogues, have been prepared starting from 1,3-dibromo-2-propanol utilizing acyl cyanophosphorane methodology as a key step in a convergent manner. The key coupling reaction has been accomplished at -$78^{\circ}C$ between 1,3-diamino-2-propanol derivative and the labile diketo nitriles, derived from acyl cyanotriphenylphosphoranes upon oxidizing with $O_3$, under mild condition in moderate yields.

  • The rates of absorption of carbon dioxide into aqueous solutions of 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP) were measured using a semibatch stirred vessel with a plane gas-liquid interface at $25^{\circ}C.$ The absorption rates under the fast reaction regime were analysed using chemical absorption theory. The reaction was found to be first order with respect to both $CO_2$ and the amine.

  • The lower flash points and upper flash points of 2-propanol and toluene mixtures were determined by air-blowing method instead of Tag-closed flash point tester. The relations between the flash points and the composition of the mixtures are as follows, $T_{F.L}=4.3182+6.0909X_1$ $T_{F.U}=39.3636-2.9091X_1$ As results, the experimental data and the estimated values from the relations are considerably agreed, and we could plotted the relative diagram between flash points and the explosive range.

  • Tissue Factor (TF), a principal initiator of the veterbrate coagulation cascade is known to to induced in endothelial cells, monocytes and macrophages by inflammetry stimuli and in many pathological conditions. Through our synthetic efforts to develop new TF inhibitors, seventeen N-C-18 alkenyl group (9-octadecenyl or 9,12-octadecadienyl) substituted aminoalcohols (2-aminoethanol, 1-amino-2-propanol and 3-amino-1-propanol) were prepared and their in vitro TF inhibitory activities were examined.   • The 20 alkylsulfonylamido propanol derivatives had been investigated for their cytotoxic activity against HT-29 colon cancer, Caki-2 renal cancer, A549 lung cancer, PC-3 prostate cancer, HL-60 leukemia cell using MTT assay. Cytotoxic activity was strongly influenced by the substituted alkyl chain length and the optimal alkyl chain length for cytotoxicity was C11. Some of alkylsulfonylamido porpanol derivatives showed stronger activity than reference compound, B13.
